24 Change of Pace (Part 4)

After Yu heard about Dai not being of royal blood, she was deep in her thoughts. She was so deep in thought, she didn't realize that it was morning again and she haven't rested at all the previous day.

Eli came up into the room. He stretched out his body. "Morning, Queen Yu. I see you haven't slept at all last night." Eli noticed Yu and her lack of tiredness. Yu noticed Eli standing by the door and she waved him into the room.

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep. I was just thinking about what you've told me last night." Yu answers Eli. Eli frowned at his Queen.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you, my Queen." Eli was very apologetic. He really didn't mean to worry his Queen. He just wanted her to know the facts about King Dai.

"Oh, no, it's fine. It's not your fault. I needed to know that anyway. It gave me something to think about." Queen Yu tells Eli. Eli gave his Queen a smile.

"Really? You weren't expecting any of what I've said, were you?" Eli asked.

"No! Why would I?" Yu asked. Eli shrugged, not having an answer for her. Yu took that as her cue to continue speaking. "Besides, with Dai still out like a light, I guess I needed to know something." Yu explains to Eli, who totally understood where Yu was coming from.

"I understand. I bet you weren't expecting to be the 104th Queen." Eli says with a teasing smile on his face.

"Uh, no, I wasn't. Am I the Queen of the Underworld or something?" Yu asked. Eli chuckled nervously.

"Yeah, about that, you are." Eli answered after a few moments. Yu choked on her spit and she snapped her head up at Eli, her eyes bulging.

"You're kidding!" She exclaimed.

"Nope, not in the slightest." Eli tells Queen Yu. Yu suddenly felt hot on her forehead and she felt faint. She cursed mentally to herself. "What's wrong, my Queen?" Eli asked, concerned.

"It's nothing. I'm fine. Go train with Trelawney today. She needs to stretch her muscles out." Queen Yu says, making Trelawney squeal like happy four-year-old. Queen Yu smiled at Trelawney's reaction and she waved both Eli and Trelawney off.

When they left the room, Yu groaned in pain. She had a crushing headache and she knew that she had a fever coming on. Crap! She thought in agony. She couldn't deal with a fever right now! She was leading the demon army, for goodness sake!

A scream was heard and Yu was suddenly at attention.
