UPDATED AUTHOR’S FULL REVIEW FOR MY NEW READERS: This novel is for 18+ MATURE readers due to DETAILED sex/smut scenes. I consider this novel to have an erotica subplot after chapter 48. There is no rape, no evil stepmother/sister, and no prolonged misunderstandings. If there is a misunderstanding, the communication between them is almost immediate. PLOT: This romance story is catered to both men and women as the POV’s between all male and female characters are interwoven in each chapter, via third person. The pace is initially slow-burn, but it picks up rather quickly. There are plot twists throughout the story, and most of my chapters are between 1000-1800 words. The main leads are both cynical individuals navigating their new roles as successors of their separate companies—marrying each other would help benefit both of them, uncovering the mastermind who desires to bring them down. There is also a forbidden love story between the second leads—they discovered their feelings, feeling helpless by the barriers that keep them apart. Their story interconnects with the main leads to support them. Their development is also initially slow-burn, and then it picks up quickly. THEMES: Romance, Crime Drama & Mystery The plot starts off surrounding romance, and it slowly transitions into a crime drama, mystery, and plot twists—however, again, it's heavily romance-focused; that means a lot of fluff and steamy scenes. WRITING QUALITY: I’d like to say that all final revisions are done, so there should be little to no mistakes in all chapters. STABILITY OF UPDATES: 1-2 a day, more chapters depends on how much time I have STORY DEVELOPMENT: This is subjective to my readers ;) CHARACTER DESIGN: All characters are multifaceted—female characters are strong, independent, and intellectual in their roles. Male characters initially have an iciness to their personalities, but they quickly become soft, considerate, and gentle. I give life and unique roles to each character, and I’d like to think I make each of them stand out on their own, despite how small or big their role is. WORLD BACKGROUND: The story takes place in China; most of the settings are fictional but inspired by real cities. My novel is 100% original; I do not use other novels for references. My stories are actually based on real events surrounding true crime. My smut scenes are also 100% original. I enjoyed this story very much. Characters are well described, and I love how romance develops gradually. Each couple is unique. And the snu-snu scenes are H-O-T. Luckily, I started reading it when it was done so I was able to binge-read it in few days. 💖💖💖 Thank you, author for sharing this story! 👍

I usually don't write reviews but this beautiful well written story has forced me to write it. What a beautifully written story. Story plot is amazing and the pace is great too. Not too fast nor too slow. Full of thrills, twists and turns. I am so hooked up to the story. It's a must read. I'll recommend every one to read it.

This is good... the plot is not overly angsty, the characters are relatetable in terms of attitudes. Just like the daughters of the elite... Thank you for sharing with us...

Another good story from this author. I have read your 1st and 2nd book and really love all of them. I always like story with strong female leads. I like how your story flows quick with no prolong misunderstanding. I must say I like the interaction between the main characters and really addicted to read more about them. I am not that keen on the story of two side couples though. Anyway, I hope you release more chapters and more frequently. Look forward for the next chapters :) Great job author!

OMG!!! Dear Author, I just finished your 2nd book and this book feels like its continuation... I wonder what happened to Long Houjin and Xue Guangli in this story and what will happen to Long Jie's lovelife. Anyway keep up the good work. :-)

I love this SOOO much, if you read "Sons of high society" and then read this, its like a master piece, I was looking through the author's original books and didn't know that she actually made one for Long Jie. I swear the god I had a panic attack, love this novel, its seriously amazing

I enjoyed reading it. so i would encourage everyone to read it. It is worth the time reading it. The romance beautifully blooms between the main characters as well as the supporting characters. Must read book. WARNING: IT TOUCHES YOUR HEART Also make sure to read other works of this author- DAUGHTERS OF ELITE and SONS OF HIGH SOCIETY which are the prequel for this story.It tells the story of their parents. One of the beat story line....everything is perfect.... But I'm very dissapointed that it's not complicated.. I want to read this fully.. So, I humbly request to Mr. Author to update left over story... Good luck for your hard work.... And I'm disparitly waiting..

I felt As if there os more to the ml tham meets the eye. But anyways this book is the best honestly. Like you are looking for a book to keep you hooked. Then this is the one for you
