Ellsie is the eldest daughter of Duke Rosewood and was set to be the next head of her family. However before she could take the role, her stepmother coaxed her father into making the heiress her daughter then with the help of the girl's husband the Duchess succeed into killing Ellsie. When Ellsie awakes as her 16-year-old self, she immediately seeks help from her childhood frenemy Prince Lucian in exchange for information. But what happens when Ellsie finds there is something more important than revenge? But will she still be able to save herself? Will she be able to save everyone?
In that moment, the world seemed clearer, more peaceful. It was ironic that only in her final moments could Ellsie find serenity and that only then did she realise how many people had betrayed her.
Ellsie watched as the shining sun reflected in the water above. She'd never liked the ocean, but in this moment she was glad that it would be her final resting place. Perhaps she could finally be with her mother again.
As the air disappeared from her lungs and her vision started to fade, Ellsie smiled believing now she could truly find freedom. As her body sank into the depths of the ocean, Ellsie came to peace with her young death and found it a blessing.

"Miss wake up, it's time to get out of bed," a pair of soft warm hands pushed against the girl's arm as a means to wake her up. "We must hurry milady the young lord with be here soon!" Lacey pushed the young girl one last time, before her eyes opened.
"Mmm," Ellsie mumbled as she opened her eyes surprised to find herself back in her bedroom. The large pale pink room with a enormous almost whole wall window and small chandelier, the large mahogany dresser that once belonged to her mother and the large princess style bed. It was the perfect room for the daughter of the Duke. "Am I dreaming?" she said without thought.
"Dreaming what? That Marquees Matthew and his son Henry are coming today?" Despite how professional she was trying to be, Lacey didn't hide her excitement very well. "No, but between us, it seems the Duchess as organized a marriage for you." The maid giggled excitedly. Lacey had been planning Lady Ellsie's wedding for years now.
Ellsie raced out of bed to the dresser across the room. Meeting Henry, but she met Henry when she was 16 and married him at 19, he helped the Duchess kill her. Sure enough when Ellsie looked into the mirror she saw her long flowing scarlett hair, emerald like eyes and the youthful looking skin of her 16-year-old self. How was this even possible?
