Planning the Revenge

Su Jiang bit his lip in hopes that the physical pain might take away his emotional pain. He glanced at Lu Cheng and saw her making a strong effort to keep their eyes apart. He felt a pang of sadness but managed to keep himself under control.

Tan Lin stood up and placed his hand on his shoulder, pushing away his fear of Su Jiang and resolved to help his best friend.

"So, what's your plan?" Tan Lin asked as he sat down next to her. The bartender had left for this break and now Su Jiang, Tan Lin and Lu Cheng were left alone.

Su Jiang looked confused but Lu Cheng answered without skipping a beat. Determination flashed in Lu Cheng's eyes as she responded.

"I'm going to bring son of a b*tch off his damn pedestal. Who does he think he is, stepping on me so many times? It's time for him to pay tenfold- no, a hundred-fold!" Lu Cheng smirked, all the pain leaving her face. Tan Lin let out a toothy grin and smacked Lu Cheng on the back with enthusiasm.

"That's the Lu Cheng I know!" Tan Lin laughed loudly. The bar was as loud as ever but it also felt completely silent. Lu Cheng look up at Tan Lin and smiled.

"And don't forget I'm always here, if you ever need my help with anything," Tan Lin looked at Lu Cheng seriously. Lu Cheng let out a warm smile and felt her eyes get wet.

"Oh, you big idiot!" Lu Cheng smacked him on the head.

Unknowingly, Su Jiang was smiling along with the two best friends.

"May I be some sort of assistance in your revenge?" Su Jiang asked softly.

Tan Lin and Lu Cheng immediately stopped their banter and stared at him. Through the entire event of Qiu Yuhan insulting both Su Jiang and Lu Cheng, they had never forgotten the true power and authority of Su Jiang. They had expected for Su Jiang to be furious at such a small artist acting so cocky in front of him. But instead, he was more interested in helping Lu Cheng?

Tan Lin glanced at Lu Cheng with excitement and Lu Cheng answered nearly instantly.

"I'll have to pass," Lu Cheng shook her head. She felt the eyes and mouth of Tan Lin widen behind him her.

Su Jiang felt a strong disappointment once more. How many times had this woman said no to him? Before meeting her and falling in love, he used to have confidence in himself. Now, almost every single time he had offered something he thought no one would deny, she would say no. Sigh, it seemed he would have to try even harder to win her heart.

"I understand," Su Jiang nodded solemnly, "I'll you see you at work tomorrow then."

"Of course," Lu Cheng smiled and responded with a similar nod.

With that, Su Jiang gathered himself and left the bar in a timely manner. Lu Cheng sighed slightly, watching his figure leave the bar.

Tan Lin stood there in a daze.

"How do you talk to Su Jiang in such a manner?! Do you even know who he is?!" Tan Lin demanded in awe. How could Lu Cheng talk to Su Jiang with such ease when he felt as if were harder than doing a dozen concerts per day for a century? He simply couldn't understand.

"I know he's my boss and that's that," Lu Cheng smiled. Then her face turned grim.

"Now, about Qiu Yuhan," Lu Cheng stated with disgust.

Su Jiang's driver had arrived in front of the west entrance to West Diamond Mall and was ready to pick him up. Su Jiang silently got in, terrifying his driver a bit.

He then immediately dialed someone on his phone. It rung for a second before the other side picked up.

"Yes boss?" The other side murmured nervously. The sweat flowing down the sides of his head could be imagined just from the shaking of his voice.

"Find as much information about Qiu Yuhan as possible, the dirty the better," Su Jiang demanded and before the other side even managed to confirm, he hung up at looked outside at the changing area.

He wasn't disobeying his love, no, he was only gathering information if she decided to change her mind. In his mind he mocked himself, falling to the whims of a women. But when he thought more about it, for even a second longer, he didn't care. His heart enveloped in happiness whenever he imagined the smile of Lu Cheng's face, the smile that descended from the heavens.

He smiled to himself and continued thinking of Lu Cheng all the way back to his mansion.

I'm really sorry it was so long since my last update. I'll try to upload a chapter a few times a week if I can and plan on making a few mass releases. Thank you for your understanding!
