She went out quick. Raj gave a chuckle and looked around for some time. He was again amazed as he noticed the room to be a very high-grade one.
'My family sure don't have money like this to burn.'
As he was thinking, a doctor with a white coat entered the room.
The doctor looked through his whole body before asking, "What is your name?"
"Uhh… Raj Raess"
"Do you know what happened to you?"
Hearing the question, anger bubbled inside him. "I was thrown off to the ground floor."
"Hmm." The doctor left the room.
Raj thought, 'Just this?'
He remained cautious after the doctor left, just in case someone else came in.
He relaxed a bit and checked for Floating eyes. But none were found.
After checking for other variables and confirming that nobody is around, he took out the ring.
'What could this ring be?'
He gazed at it as a puzzle which remains unsolved.
All of a sudden, the ring vanished, a voice spoke in his mind and a system panel appeared in front of his eyes.
[You have met the minimum conditions to awaken the Curiosity System. Do you want to bind with it? Yes or No? You have 10 seconds to decide. 10… 9... ]
It was so sudden for Raj, for full five seconds he was blank and looked at the panel like a dumb fool.
As the countdown neared 0, his suddenly reacted and pressed Yes button which was hovering in front of him.

Looking at the futuristic panel in front of him, he resumed his dazed state.
He began to process facts and tried to accommodate himself to the new reality.
'Phew. This is crazy as fuck. Where the hell did this thing come from and why did I select yes instantly? Whatever, let's look at the screen and understand.'
After a while, he understood some things, but not everything.
'This system thingie enables me to gain knowledge and stuff. It will help me to get stronger. Knowledge is also a type of strength so it is acceptable. It is not instant strength. And I don't want instant strength too. Moreover, the 'stuff' may include many material things. The 1st reward could be earned or else this system will be shit. The 2nd reward can be taken, but let's go for the 3rd. Let's check how far my luck takes me.'
He chose the 3rd option.

He had no idea whether it is useful or not. The ticket gave out an orange shiny light.
He still had questions about the blue orb inside his body. So he tried to use the ticket to find out what it is.

'What is this Knowledge level now.'
As if hearing the question of his, the system replied, [Knowledge level is a level which can be grown by getting Experience points through reading books, finding rare items, learning secrets and facts and visiting new places.]
'Then what is my level right now?'

'Wait, what? Why 0? I have studied till 8th grade and am in 9th already!'

'Ugh. This BS. Now, do I have to read all that stuff again?'
The system didn't reply anything. Raj could only go with the flow as nothing could be done to the system itself.
He thought about the ring and asked, 'Where is that ring?'

He concentrated on the ring, and it appeared!

He tried to focus on the ring once more. Surprisingly, he could see what was inside.
'Is it the legendary storage space? Doesn't it require magic to open? Ahh!! What good luck is this? So much stuff!'
He saw everything. He found out that 50% of the space was filled with books. The other stuff was like paper, pen, medicinal herbs, pills, etc. All this indicated to one thing. Cultivation.
Cultivation, at least in this world, was legendary. IT needed lots and lots of resources and blood and sweat of countless people to raise a legendary cultivator. Although there were sects around in this world, they didn't have much power as the Magi Tech's technology these days overwhelmed those cultivators. The Magi Tech was a company founded in the Human Country. And because of this technology, cultivators almost became extinct. And because of this technology, the Human Country was a threat to many of the superpowers of this world and the cause of greed between them.
From looking at the amount of stuff included inside the ring, he knew that he wouldn't have any problem to become an apex-level expert.
'Isn't my luck too good? A system and then Cultivation. Wouldn't I become a legend pretty fast?'
And by saying that he started to dream, only to awaken by the system, shattering his dreams.

While he lay on the bed, musing with the system, the door of the hospital opened and 4 people entered the room.
They approached him and sat on the chairs around his bed.
He could see the happiness mixed with some sadness on their face. It made him feel great to have friends like them.
