Along the way to the cave, Kilian had asked Kal a few questions regarding this world and himself.
He found out that knowledge regarding this world is practically something new to the seraph, since Mars had never revealed nor placed importance on this world. But it somehow surprised Kilian since the inhabitants on this world are just as developed as the ones back in his world, except with a medieval-ish theme.
He found out this world was named Earth, just like the previous ones, and the 7 planets orbiting the same sun have the same names. Kilian found this quite interesting, since the names came from not another race of humans, but another species entirely.
There were multiple species cohabiting in this world. Kal had only mentioned a few of them since Mars only briefed him and the other seraphim about them.
There were Elves, located at the very north of the globe. There were dwarves set at the south. The human territory was at the east, and other races such as the giants and fairies dwell somewhere west. There are also dark beings such as demons and majestic ones such as dragons, but they seem to reside in another realm entirely.
Though, Kal is unsure of that.
This was a lot to handle, being thrown into a mythical world such as this. Kilian never found himself coming close to any RPG games but his underlings enjoy fighting on there and lust over the scantily dressed elven female warriors.
Kilian snorted at the thought he might find some, which confused Kal for a moment.
Once they found the cave, they realized it wasn't very large, able to occupy maybe three people at most. Kilian entered anyways and found a few claw marks and the proof of a battle.
He found some fur laying around but it was a short blue-ish color. It seemed old, luckily.
[Rest here, I will alert you when something's coming. We will leave for the castle tomorrow.]
Kilian nodded as he himself had that planned. He had two rabbits and a ferret-like animal with a horn tied to his makeshift dress.
He had personally hunted them on the way here, using only his abilities and his Ice Bolt, earning him an easier grasp on the flow of mana through his body and magic. This lead him to have the weird feeling grow less noticable to the point where it was nonexistent.
This had somewhat surprised Kal too.
[Also, why do you activate Ice Bolt with that hand shape? A palm is just fine.]
Kal had asked this question that had Kilian thinking.
He shrugged and saw that it was just a habit. He used primarily guns to kill in his past life. He wiped his hand against his side.
"Just an old habit of mine, say, are there guns in this world?"
It would be great if he could equip something he's been using for 60 plus years straight. A bow and arrow would work fine but it just wouldn't be the same, even if powered up with magic.
[I'm not so sure about that, maybe we can purchase it from the markets if we so ever get to see one.]
Kilian smiled and twitched his finger as if he was holding the trigger on an actual gun.
It was a relaxing feeling of having your worries fly away with the bullet.
He grabbed some dried leaves and sticks and set them in a pile in the corner of the cave. He took a couple of stones and, after some difficulties, started a small fire where he roasted his three meals.
He wolfed the three down and left only the bones. He had thought he could save at least one for tomorrow, but there weren't even scraps left.
Kilian's solution was just to hunt again tomorrow. After all, he had learned quite a lot about his body and magic during the hunts. He wanted to find another White-Bellied Snake or something like it to test out more things but there wasn't anything around for miles.
[Considering that Mars let you in here without asking any questions must've ment your soul is very capable, I'm not at all surprised. A human befitting of my partner.]
Kal spoke out of nowhere with a proud tone.
[If I teach you the skills needed then you'd most likely take no more than half a year to learn them, but first we need to temper your body.]
Kilian buried the remains of his dinner. He covered the enterence of the cave with loose vines and sheets of rotting leaves.
"Is there a need to do so?" He asked. Kilian had thought of a few training methods but with how many times Kal preached about how well his body was made, he recieved the thought of holding off on tempering and focusing on magic for a while instead.
[The stronger your body the better it'll hold mana. Your God Fiber body mainly caters towards your physique. The magic I'll be teaching you are stronger and ice class. If anything goes wrong you'll be a block of ice before you know it.]
"I see, my ignorance on the magic world is still quite limited."
He still couldn't digest the fact he's seriosuly taking magic lessons from an angel.
Kilian sat down in a corner and faced the exit, his back as vertical as a tree. He closed his eyes and instead of falling into slumber, he remained mostly awake cultivating his mind and taking in the information.
Kal was quiet for the rest of the night. It was unsure of seraphim needed sleep or whatever.
...
The night passed by quickly and nothing came to interrupt Kilian, except sometimes he would wake at the slightest noise but he would continue where he left off.
Dawn arrived and the dew was glistening on the leaves and grass. Kilian swept aside the remaining ashes from the fire. He wrapped some of the vines around his body and left the cave.
"There wasn't any actual danger around, yet this cave is ridden with the proof of a battle?" Kilian knew animals didn't like to leave their home often. He thought this was the snake's home but there could also be something laying around.
[This must've been the snake's territory or it's mate. Head to the towers but be careful.]
