Where am I?

Quinn thought trying to figure out her surroundings. She tried opening her eyes several times but no matter what she did, she could not do so.

Quinn had a hard time opening her eyes. It was as if her strength left her body and all she could feel was the cold feeling of solitude.

Weird, usually when she would be reincarnated into another person, she would be transferred in the body of children, usually battered children who had terrible childhood experiences and horrible parents. Till now, it had bothered her so.

Quinn felt terrible, those thousand of personas that died unfortunately. She didn't bring any justice to their deaths.

When Quinn was reincarnated, she didn't have any powers or any powerful systems like those that she read before in her favorite novels.

She was still her ordinary self. Only, with a different appearance and background.

Warm liquid surrounded her body and it trapped her, even disabling her movements.

Squishy. It was the only word she could think that could describe her predicament.

She felt squishy objects surrounding her body. Along with the warm liquid with the squishy objects surrounding her, they entrapped her body. Many people would feel disgusted but strangely, all she felt was warmth.

Her body was bumped several times and all she would hear was gibberish murmurs of comforts.

Several months passed but Quinn had no idea about that. She was able to figure out where she was... what she is at the moment.

Quinn had turned into a fetus, thankfully her parents loved her enough not to abort her. Unlike some unfortunate children in her previous worlds.

She had a hard time listening to the outside world.

In all the information she acquired while listening to the countless conversation that her mother had. Only bits and pieces stood out to Quinn. Mostly because it was the only thing that she could hear at the moment.

In her comprehension, she had older brothers excitedly waiting for her arrival in her family. Her mother hurried her to go out as well, she was happy to welcome another member in the family.

At first Quinn couldn't understand a word she said, but as time passes by, Quinn realised her mother likes to repeat sentences along those thoughts as she showers her big belly with affection.

Quinn's favorite hobby consists of sleeping and listening to more of her mother's words of affection.

She felt giddy to her mother's constant affection. Quinn was thankful that her mother this time was different from before. Different from all the rest.

In one random day. Quinn felt an ominous feeling that something was about to happen to her. True to that, a few hours later. Quinn heard shouts all over the place.

Quinn woke up abruptly and was cautious, silence followed the storm after all the commotion. She felt relieved but it was short lived because a vacuum-like suction rendered her body forward into an unknown ray of light.

Quinn was shocked but she didn't fight back, she had an inkling about the situation. So she tried to helped her mother in her delivery.

Turns out mother was frail and had collapsed after five hours of labor, but it wasn't enough. Quinn was not yet out fully. Her head was out but the rest of her body was still inside stuck. Nurses was panicking but Quinn ignored them and muted the noise.

Quinn tried to call out to her mother, but all she could say was nonsensical wails. She tried to use it to her advantage and wailed loudly while pushing her way out. It was useless however, her body was too weak.

Her mother suddenly woke up due to the sudden jolt of pain and looks at the head of her baby. It was looking up at her with those little bright beautiful determined gray eyes. She cried silently and pushed with all her might.

"Go mom just continue, its working!" Quinn tried to encourage her mother even though she knew, she won't be able to understand her.

Her mother heard her and felt empowered, it was as if her baby was encouraging her. She couldn't understand a thing amidst all the noise but she knew her baby wanted a way out.

She tried her best and continued to push. She wanted her baby to be welcomed in her arms. She wanted to see and hug those little arms.

Determination filled her mind until she could hear congratulatory words from the nurses around her.

"Congratulations. Its a girl!" One held a baby with cute little bright eyes that stared at her and she knew that all the pain was worth it.

"Welcome to the world, my little Quinn." Ophelia said while smiling and shedding tears of joy.
