The Suit Maketh The Man

"Fuck you! Bring me back home!" A man was screaming while being carried by two knights. That man was, of course, Robert Bedford, the (in)famous Vathrian detective, who has woken up from his hangover.

"Please calm down Mr. Bedford. Your wife has agreed to this. The kingdom needs your help." Vincent, who was carrying Robert's leg, said to him.

"Fuck if I care! I'm done with being a detective! The world was destroyed for fuck sake! What makes you think I should care for this new world!" Robert bellowed.

"Please. Just come with us, first." Knight Brad was also carrying Robert's arms and head.

They finally arrived outside the house where three knights with five pegasuses were waiting.

"Here are the pegasuses you ordered. We will escort you to the elven tribe." One of the knights said.

Vincent motioned the knights to help him carry Robert on top of one of the pegasuses. They managed to lift Robert after much struggle.

"W-what the fuck! Am I still drunk? These horses have wings!" Robert said in surprise. As Robert was rarely outside his house and did not care to hear news about the development of Vathria, he was not aware of the existence of pegasuses.

"We're ready to go." One of the escorting knights said.

Valentina Bedford followed them to the door where she was leaning on one side of the door.

"Take care of my husband. Make him useful again, please." Valentina said.

"Valentina! Why have you betrayed me! I don't want to work!" Robert screamed.

"Shut up, you scoundrel! You better help these knights or don't think you can step inside this house ever again you hear me!?" Valentina shouted with ferocity.

Robert just gulped in response after hearing his wife's anger. He knew better not to arouse any more of her rage.

"W-wha" Robert muttered in surprise after the Pegasus he was riding suddenly started to lift off the ground. He was sitting on the pegasus's backside while Knight Vincent was the one steering.

The five pegasuses took off with high velocity. Robert's scream was heard throughout the city.

"Suit/ yours/ I present" Morgan Randolph, the young fashion designer with glasses said while bowing down to the man in front of him.

The man in question was, of course, King Adrian who was sitting down at his throne. They were currently in the throne room. The throne room consisted of many pillars on its sides and a very long red carpet in the middle of the hall with an elevated and elegant throne seat at the end of the room. The door was grand and intricate. In this day, in particular, the number of guards around the throne room was increased with the absence of King Adrian's right-hand man, Braum Vanderlinde. It was a rare sight to see King Adrian sitting alone at his throne without anyone else by his side.

Morgan Randolph brought a moving clothing rack with wheels to the throne room. The rack had the clothing that the King ordered, the one he called a 'suit'. The suit itself was separated into multiple articles of clothing from the shirt underneath, the second layer of vest, the tie, and finally the suit jacket. The suit presented to the king was gray in color with a blue tie. The design of it was never seen in the history of Vathrian fashion.

"Amazed/I am/simple/but elegant/and classy," Morgan said again.

King Adrian was smiling looking at the finished suit.

"First try/you succeeded/impressive/I applaud you" King Adrian replied in the Vathrian sign language.

The King stood up from his throne and walked towards the suit to inspect it closer.

"Yes...this is as I was expecting but..."King Adrian said this verbally, not in sign language.

"Tae/the materials/implement it/did you?" King Adrian said to Morgan in sign language. He was asking about the 'Tae' material used for the roads that would hopefully be implemented to clothing. The material would allow the clothing to be resistant to any conditions whether it be extreme cold or heat.

"In progress/with research team/very difficult task," Morgan replied with an anxious face. He was afraid of disappointing the King. He knew he hasn't finished with the implementation of the 'Tae' material to the clothing which was why he took extra steps in making the suit looked perfect.

"That's fine/no rush/progress?" King Adrian signed.

"Researcher team/figuring out/still/hardening process/undoing/how to/mages/helping" Morgan replied. The 'Tae' material usually dries in the sun and turning the previously flexible material into a solid matter but the King believed there was a way to make it permanently flexible which was why clothing would be the first implementation he would hope to use it for.

"Keep going/this suit/what materials?" King Adrian brushed off Morgan's anxiousness again and diverted the topic.

"Leftover materials/previous world" Morgan replied.

King Adrian stroke his chin to think. 'Of course, it would be leftover materials. I'll have to get the scholars to find materials to be used for textile production in this world...I could ask the elves as well...' King Adrian thought. But as he mentioned the elves, he was suddenly realizing that he was currently running away from the responsibility of finding the missing elven girl, or rather, diverting it to Braum.

King Adrian coughed to distract himself from such thoughts. "Good job/you did/reward/I'll send/I'll wear this" King Adrian said to Morgan.

Morgan was ecstatic to learn that King Adrian was willing to wear his creation. His reputation from now on will skyrocket.

"Thank you/Your Majesty" Morgan replied.

After some few more small talks about the progress of the clothing production, Morgan left the throne room. King Adrian was now sitting down at his throne again.

"Heh. This is the new sign word for 'suit', huh" King Adrian said while doing the 'tightening the tie' motion around his neck. Previously, the word for 'suit' itself did not exist in the Vathrian sign language but it seemed Morgan just invented it.

"Hey. Please check what's next on my schedule." King Adrian said casually to a knight who was standing near his throne. Since Braum was dealing with the elven affair, he did not have anyone to keep track of his schedule so he asked the knights around him to do so.

"Your Majesty, you have a meeting with Lena Haider, the head of trade and economics to discuss the reestablishment of the economy and national bank." The knight replied while doing a salute.

"O...oh...it's her....very good. I shall conduct that meeting in my study room. Let us depart." King Adrian stood up from his throne and left the throne room with an escort of knights. His face showed nervousness as he had a history with this particular minister.

Been taking breaks to do other stuff.

Happy new year 2019 everyone!

Unfortunately, the semester will start again soon and it'll be really busy until the end of January. I'll also go back to my home country by early February (I'm studying abroad) but we'll see what happens.
