A LIGHT TO HOLD ON OR DARKNESS TO CATCH ON

Although only 10 out of 100 gets an opportunity to work at Lockser's Pvt Ltd Company but Stella Millicent Scarlett has got the golden opportunity not because of her beauty but her talent, smartness and of course, her cunningness. Back then sometimes, she would surprise the teachers and students by her intelligence. As she did surprise the chief executive of Lockser's Pvt Ltd at her interview. Although he is soon to retire and his post will be taken over by none other than his youngest and the third son ,Daniel Lockser . His oldest son refused to take the path of business and profits and decided to become a novelist to excel at what he is good at. While his second son decided to grow up like a filthy spoilt rich brat.

There she was. Standing in front of the highly flourished and one of the top ten company in the world. As she proceeded towards the office ,she wasn't nervous but she was quite self-conscious about herself. Alan Warner , the assistant manager had caught sight of the new comer and recognized her as the "NEXT Einstein" who had awe struck their CEO. "Excuse me" The assistant manager approached her. "Oh good morning, Mr Warner. I am.."

"Stella Scarlett. I know " The assistant manager interrupted her. "Well ,come here I will show you your office" Alan said with a smile. Stella gave him a light smile as she followed the steps of the assistant manager. As she was walking, she spared some glances at the other people working at the office. Many of them were quite old . Might have been working for a long time. There were two girls of her age. "Here it is , you will be working on this system from now on and your work will be assigned by Sir. He will be arriving within 10 minutes. Till then why don't you acquaint yourself with others" The assistant manager suggested her. Stella gave him a assuring smile . As the manager left she sat down on the rotating chair . And looked around in search of acquaintance but no luck. People were really busy with their own tasks. And she did not seem really compatible with them. She did not really need anyone to help her out in her entire life. After her father's death in a plane crash, she always tried to do things on her own and not relying on anyone. She wouldn't even talk about her problems, her difficulty, with her mother, always trying to pretend that she did not need anyone. As she was going through the files on her desk , the CEO had entered the office which was made aware by greetings of her soon- to-be coworkers. She got up from her chair to do the same. But before she could , He noticed her before hand and said, " So here you are, the bright one, Stella Scarlett. "he said as he proceeded to firmly shake her hand. " Well I would like to introduce you to Stella Scarlett, the new and the youngest employee of our company. " Andrew Lockser said as he introduced her to everyone. "So, you might as well need to come to my office, Miss Scarlett" He said as he motioned his assistant to follow him.

AFTER 10 MINUTES

"Sir , may I come in " Stella stood at the door of the huge office. As she was allowed to enter the office, she looked around ,her eyes falling on the shelf filled with number of winning awards. After all it was the Lockser's. What else would she expect. But one thing she couldn't ignore was his family photo on his desk. She took the advantage of Mr Lockser having a conversation on the phone with one of his business partner.

He had three sons and a daughter. She was quite pretty just like his wife. His sons were quite handsome but one of seemed a bit arrogant to her. She could really judge people by just looking at their faces. And most of the time it was true. She became attentive when she realized that Mr Lockser hung upon.

"So Miss Scarlett, I hope you may have acquainted with other employees Well I would like you to look after the business affairs especially with the Alseiff's company. Also I would want you to update me with the current situation of our products exportation's out of London. For now I would want you to do this task ,later if needed I would surely inform you . "Andrew stared at her with a smile . Stella was a little surprised to see that as a fresher she was assigned more than she imagined. Andrew noticed her change in face expression and smiled in his mind. "Is it too much for you Miss Scarlett. If you want i can reduce the burden " "That won't be needed. If you have given me a job then its my duty to fulfill it . Thanks for your time and faith in me. I would not disappoint you." Stella said as she left the chair. Andrew was a little surprised to see her confidence . He shook his hands with her and she left the office.
