1 The Dream?
Another cold morning arises, but somehow it didn't bother Yan Jun, he was reminiscing about the "dream" he had yesterday because it made him feel loved or warm and...happy. As Yan Jun looks at the early morning sky from his window he couldn't help but smile
"This is weird...somehow the skies are brighter than yesterday" Yan Jun said to himself
The feeling of happiness is quite new to him since he hasn't felt it for so long, since what happened 11 years ago. Yan Jun looked at the clock and reads "5:18 A.M" he got up and made his bed before getting ready for school.
*30 Minutes later*
After he finished all his chores, he made himself a breakfast and sat in front of the tree like he normally does and after he ate breakfast he washed his dishes then went to the tree then bowed he doesn't know why he's bowing but he feels like he should be bowing it just feels right, after that Yan Jun left to catch the first train to get to his school early. After he got on the train he took his phone out to see his schedule for today;
8:30-10:00: Accounting 1
10:00-10:30: Break
10:30-11:30: Music
11:30-12:00: vacant
12:00-1:00: Lunch
1:00-3:00: Marketing Strategies
"Maybe I can go to training after school again?" Yan Jun whispered to himself
Yan Jun texted Xiao Ga that He and An Yue are going to be late in training because of their major subjects...*Ringtone*
"So...you're not mad?" Xiao Ga replied
"No." he answered back plain and simple
"Okay then I'll see you later at training" Xiao Ga replied
"Yeah. see ya"
*At School*
Yan Jun was the first student to arrive at school, Yan Jun arrived at about 6:50 A.M but the facilities are already opened so after he had put his bag in his classroom he went to the library to look at the books and read some before school starts.
*At the library*
*knock knock* Yan Jun opened the door *swish* he looks around the room and saw no one in the counter where the librarian sat
"Maybe she hasn't arrived yet...I'll just read here" Yan Jun said
As Yan Jun looks around to get a book he noticed a box that has been opened and is filled with old and some new books curious about it, he approached the box looked at the books and saw an old tattered book and took it out, Yan Jun blew on the book to get rid of the dust that was surrounding the book that has been in the books for a while now.
"Si Hua...?" Yan Jun as he reads the title.
"It roughly translates to dead flower" A person suddenly spoke out from behind him.
"Ahhhhh!!" Yan Jun shouted and stood up
As he looks at the person, it was a girl with pink hair, high ponytail and wearing a lab coat for some reasons but you can still see that she was wearing a student uniform inside. "She must be a science major" Yan Jun thought to himself but his brain was all over the place.
"I'm happy that someone has visited the library but you could have just waited for the teacher first..." The person said
"I-I'm sorry...I'll take my lea-" he was cut off by the person before he could finish
"Its fine...just remember next time ok? Ohh and by the way, the name is Xin Wu I'm the student in charge of this place, nice to meet ya"
"My name is Yan Jun, its nice to meet you too" he replied
Yan Jun's heart was still racing from the shock earlier, But after that Xin Wu and Yan Jun talked about the books they have read until it was almost time for the first bell to ring but they didn't realize the time that flew by so quickly, not until Yan Jun checked his phone
"It's almost 8:30. I'll take my leave now" Yan Jun said and then took the books then puts them in the shelves where he found them
While Yan Jun was arranging the books Xin Wu noticed that the book that he looked at earlier in the box, Xin Wu then approached the book then had a look at it
"Alright I'm done arranging the books I'll go to my class" Yan Jun said then opened the door
"Wait...here" Xin Wu tossed the book to Yan Jun
"This was the book you were looking at earlier bring it back here after your done k? but bring it back in one piece, please" Xin Wu said
"Haha, don't worry Xin I'll return it in one piece. Bye, see you later" Yan jun had left and closed the door
*At Yan Jun's Classroom*
As Yan Jun sat down, he looked at the sky once again and just got lost in thought and he keeps remembering the Dream he had yesterday he was just speechless at how the dream was so realistic, he keeps saying its a dream but on his mind, he believed its true.
"Hey, Yan" *snap* *snap* An Yue said
"Earth to Yan" An Yue teased the staring Yan Jun
Yan Jun snaps back into reality from his daydream
"Ohh, Uhh hey An" Yan Jun replied
"You okay dude? You seemed a little off. What happened?" An Yue curiously asked
"Ohh no...It was nothing" Yan Jun Answered
An Yue tilted his head in curiosity, An Yue knew something was off with him, he just couldn't put his finger on it. An Yue is really concerned with Yan Jun, Especially what happened yesterday, so An Yue imagined that Yan Jun would be even more gloomy than usual, but actually Yan Jun came in class in kind of a good mood which was weird for An Yue was never really used to see because he rarely see a smile let alone a smirk from Yan Jun so this was kind of weird but at the same time refreshing for An Yue
"Alright, dude if you say so" An Yue replied
*Lunch Break*
The trio assembled at the rooftop of the school which was their go-to spot whenever they eat lunch and yes; they are well aware of that cliche. The three started eating lunch and there was a kind of an awkward vibe coming from Xiao Ga and An Yue, and Yan Jun is just eating
"Alright! I can't take it anymore! why are you in a good mood right now?" Xiao Ga finally broke the silence
"...I don't know I just feel really good right now." Yan Jun answered softly and looked at Xiao Ga
"Is there anything that happened yesterday?" An Yue joined the conversation
Yan Jun was thinking whether or not he should tell the two about his dream cause he is afraid that they will make fun of him, But Yan Jun trust them that they won't laugh
"Alright I'll tell you guys if you promise to not laugh" Yan Jun looked at the two with a serious face
"Okay." the two said in unison
"Jinx, An you owe me a-" Xiao Ga said before An Yue hit him in the head
"Alright, sorry about that please continue." An Yue adjusted his glasses before letting Yan Jun speak
"Okay, then" Yan Jun replied
Yan Jun said everything. The way the dream felt how it affected him, and he was very sincere and honest so An Yue and Xiao Ga took him seriously cause this was one of the rare cases where Yan Jun wear his heart on his sleeves and just told everything... After he told everything he looked at An Yue and Xiao Ga to see if they are going to judge, laugh or whatever their reaction is
"...Alright, this was a lot to take in...a dream?" An Yue said
"Yeah... Is it weird?" Yan Jun said concerned
"No...no its not...We weren't just used to you being like this" Xiao Ga replied
"yeah whatever makes you happy isn't our business as long as you're happy Jun" An Yue followed up after Xiao Ga's replied
After the trio talked about Yan Jun's dream the bell rang signaling the start of the second-half of day. Nothing much went on for the rest of the day after that
*After School*
"Hey, are you going to training?" An Yue asked Yan Jun
"Yep I'm going to change just wait for me there" Yan Jun replied
Yan Jun changed to his dobuk then the three trained for 2 hours practicing new kicks and then after training they were doing their usual routine but for Xiao Ga and An Yue this was kind of special to them cause they are seeing the rare occasion Yan Jun being happy,
"I wish you are always like this Yan." Xiao Ga said to Yan Jun while being happy and at the same time, sad cause Xiao Ga knows that Yan Jun's mood can easily change
"I'm trying my best to always be like this Ga" Yan Jun replied to Xiao Ga, and then put his arms on Xiao Ga's and An Yue's shoulders
As the three go on their separate ways, The two knew they have to do everything in their power to keep Yan Jun in a good mood all the time, And Xiao Ga and An Yue know one way to keep Yan Jun in a good mood is to never to bring up the topic about his past. Because even if they don't know what happened they know that it is taboo. So they never bring it up even though curiosity is killing them.
When Yan Jun reached his house, he was thinking whether or not he will dream of that again... As he was thinking about that he remembered that he had a book that he borrowed in the library, After he entered his house he sets his bag down on the sofa, and he took the book out and begins to read it and spent his remaining time reading then took a nap
*The light appears once again*
"Ohh how I wish for you to see me, but I'm scared that you might not accept me so this is my parting gift to you young one" the light said with grief
The light touched Yan Jun's forehead, and the light was making the happy memories of Yan Jun shine through instead of the bad ones and when the light was almost done with the process Yan Jun woke up and saw the light and making the process fail. The light retracted, Saying Yan Jun was surprised is an understatement words cannot describe the way Yan Jun is feeling right now, As the light was about to disappear Yan Jun quickly sprung up and said
"Please don't leave"
