10 5 years later

As the celebration for Joseph's 10th birthday were being prepared, all the staff within the Fallenwind manor have been pushed to their utmost limits. After all on Allyria, regardless of which city you found yourself in, the human race had largely collaborated on all aspects and this included traditions such as the coming of age ceremonies.

Unfortunately for Joseph, his coming of age ceremony was still another 5 years away. Boys became men at 15 years of age and girls became women at 16, while some details are vague most families prefer to keep their daughters at home and choose who they will marry in an attempt to increase the families connections to those above them.

The boys on the other hand, those of a lower social class were bound to serve the army for a number of years of which could be reduced depending on their merits. The middle class could also choose to have their sons join the military, choose to pursue an education or learn the family business to take over it in the long term.

Those at the peak of the hierarchy, depending on which area of the world could be either a monarchy or a government, and from the families involved in either tend to send their sons to get involved within the government or pursue the path of an educator.

Despite the various hierarchies and the communities they make up there seems to be a lack of corruption power brings to certain people and from that it is rarely seen any negative interactions between the lower social class and the other classes. The reason for this is that not one person is bound to their fate and ensuring everybody is provided for with an education. This education varies based on which one wishes to learn and what they want their future to be.

And being part of the upper middle class, the Fallenwind family had on this day selected to be the day Joseph Fallenwind was going to find out through a special means of testing what his talents may lay in. The test while not being a permanent choice on what the tester has to become, it provides more of a general guideline on what and how to best use their talents. Joseph's family had several businesses across several fields: Alchemy, Tailors, Blacksmiths, Gathering, Restaurants and 1 or two others that may or may not exist in the shadows of the city, any family worth anything would have a toe or two dipped in shady business.

"System, should I be concerned about this test that I am about to do in a while?" - Joseph could not help but ask the System with a bit of concern in his voice.

"Well you see, from what I have been reading there seems quite allot of fields of business available and despite having the Ascension Merchant System, I don't really know allot of any kind of business, back on Earth I was an accountant, just worked with numbers" - For some reason Joseph could still remember his past memories for now.

Upon hearing the Systems announcement, Joseph felt more relieved and the weight on his shoulders very quickly vanished, this brought further self confidence to Joseph, confidence and excitement he could hardly wait to see what was going to happen soon.

As time was closing in for Joseph's ceremony, several women could be seen running through the corridors of the manor all heading towards a single direction Joseph's room. Among this group of women his mother Mary could be seen leading the pack. Why would a group of 10 women be rushing towards Joseph's room you might ask? Well being a young boy of 10 years of age, Mary understood many thing about boys, having grown up with a few brothers and that's that most boys at her son's age usually played about making a mess of everything.

Granted Mary had never seen her son play about like others of his age which at first found odd, but he seemed happy watching the various things adults did in their day to day life. Most surprisingly for Joseph's parents and grandparents had been finding out about his love for reading, and it seemed little Joseph had read several books within the families library covering a wide range of topics.

But today was an important event for Joseph, and his mother wanted him to look his very best, like any other mother she was proud of her son and wanted to show him off to their friends.

As they neared the room that had been allocated to Joseph, the doors suddenly opened wide and from inside his room, out stepped Joseph wearing a top of the line suit gifted to him by his grandmother. His long golden hair had been trimmed to shoulder length, with a bit of magic from a popular hair stylist, his hair alongside with his frame and the suit gave Joseph a unique aura.

The group of women came to an abrupt halt as they continued to stare at this young man, Joseph's mother was so impressed with her son that a few tears of joy could be seen sliding down her face, what else could a mother possibly want? Suddenly grandchildren popped up in her head, and with that thought and a coy smile the thought expanded towards maybe it was time to look for a nice girl for my son. Mary suddenly had the urge to go speak and get some insights from her mother in law for future candidates.

When Joseph spotted the group of women and his mother among them, he could already tell the reason why they were there and having just come out the way he did had obviously startled them, as he looked towards his mother with a kind face still showing off some of his baby fat rounding off his jaw, he greeted his mother. - "Hello mom, shall we go to the hall? We should not keep the guests waiting for long." - With that Joseph approached his mother, and they walked side by side towards the main hall of the family's manor.
