The lazy and absent-minded girl

Harry parked the car abruptly, screeching the tires loudly. He did not bother to shut off the engine and stormed out. When the nervous but puzzled butler came out, he simply threw the car key to him and stormed into the house.

"Young Master?" the butler looked at the quick disappearing Young Master before at the car.

Young Master never acted like this before. Was he angry or frustrated?

He shook his head. No matter what, it was not his business to know. He quickly went to shut off the engine. Eh, no.

He needed to park the car in the garage.

He did just that. He parked it carefully next to other cars belonging to the various members of the family.

He also checked the gas in the car and ordered the driver to make sure the car was clean again.

When he went back into the house, he could not see the Young Master. He shook his head and went to the kitchen to check the menu for the dinner tonight.

Harry on the other hand locked himself in his room. He threw himself on the bed and closed his eyes.

He refused to remember what happened. It only brought unhappiness to him.

Although the time they had was full of happiness but the end made everything disappeared. He did not feel like it was worth to remember.

He stared up the ceiling, trying hard not to remember but it was hard.

She was after all his first love. He did everything for her, supporting her dream but because of her dream, she left him cruelly.

Even until now he could not find another woman that could stir his heart like her… not until….

Ryn.

He sat up abruptly.

Catherine, the lazy and absent-minded but at the same time a very hardworking girl. Unlike other girls who loves to gossiping and flirting around, Ryn just minded her own business and did her job quietly. Or she would be sleeping.

So many times he caught her sleeping peacefully despite the noise in the class.

He had no idea how she could still be sleeping even though the girls were shrieking and shouting when they saw him.

He chuckled at the memory.

He had no idea why sometimes he would go near to her class. It was a subconscious action from him. He had so much fun watching her reaction. It was so entertaining.

Of course he hated seeing her being bullied by others especially by that Eugene girl.

Females were so scary.

He took out his phone and checked her Instagram account. Still a lot of comments condemning and cursing Ryn, there were some who were supporting Ryn and even supporting the pairing of Ryn and Jeremy.

Harry's face darkened.

Jeremy and Ryn… as real boyfriend and girlfriend?

As in a real serious relationship?

No.

He shook his head.

It could not be.

Ryn was too absent-minded to even care about serious relationship.

He had no doubt of it.

*~*~*~*~*

Ryn stirred and blinked her eyes open sleepily. Her phone was ringing loudly, waking her up from her slumber.

She looked left and right, scratching her head.

Where was she?

Oh, yes. She remembered now where she was. And, she remembered why she set her alarm so early.

She pushed the blanket off her body and stepped toward the bathroom.

Time to go to work.

It took her only ten minutes for a quick wash, then another ten minutes to put on clothes, search for her sweater and brush her hair quickly and tie into a neat ponytail. Then, she rushed out of the room, heading toward the dining room.

Or trying to get into the dining room.

After five minutes running around, she had to admit that sadly, she was lost.

Completely lost.

She dropped her backpack, sat down and hugged her knees.

What should she do now?

"Should I call him?"

She took out her mobile phone and stared at it.

Time was running fast.

She needed to move or would be late.

However, she did not want to talk with him. She was still not ready!

He was too rich to her comfort!

Too rich!

This place was too huge for her and for him it was just his home, a place to live. Was not their economy status too different from each other?

Too different!

She was still staring at it when she heard some noise.

It was not footsteps. The thick carpet around this huge place would only make anyone's feet disappear.

She lifted her head and saw someone walking politely toward her.

A maid?

"Excuse me, Young Miss. My name is Nadia and I am here to bring you to the dining room for breakfast."

"Yes… yes…" Ryn quickly stood up and walked behind Nadia.

She was too hungry, too starving but Nadia was still walking slowly.

Her hands shook impatiently. She was so starving and the time was running out. If she took too much time during breakfast, she would be late!

"Ehem, Nadia. Oh, Nadia," she called.

Nadia stopped and looked at her politely.

Do you need to stop? Ryn's heart groaned almost loudly.

Her hands fisted and shook. She tried to push a smile on her face although she felt like shaking the poor little maid for wasting a lot of time.

"Yes, Young Mistress?"

"Ehem… can you walk quickly? I didn't have my dinner last night so I am quite starving."

"Certainly, Young Mistress."

This time, to the satisfaction of Ryn, Nadia quickened her walk.

And soon enough they finally reached the dining room.

When Ryn entered the room, she cocked an eyebrow.

Apart from the butler and the maids, no one else was there. No Jeremy there.

Where was he?

Ryn looked at the butler silently.

"Good morning, Young Mistress. Young Master sent an apology. He could not join you for breakfast this morning," Uncle Wang greeted politely.

"Oh. While I'm having my breakfast, could you write down this place's address so I can tell staff to pick me up?"

"Erm… it's okay, Young Mistress. Little Green, the driver will send you to your appointment."

"Is it okay? Won't I disturb everyone?" Ryn frowned.

"No…. no… no… You did not disturb anything. We are happy to help you with anything… with everything."

The butler and the maids grinned widely.

Receiving the weird grin, Ryn stepped back unconsciously. Why she felt these people were weird? And their expression was quite creepy to be truth.

"Err… thanks?"
