A quick update on the lack of chapters these past few days: I just found out this week that my grandfather has terminal cancer, so I've been preoccupied with things other than writing for the past few days. I'll try to get back to posting daily chapters from today on, though. I hope you all understand.

How disappointing, arran is so naive despite his age and experience. He will never lose anything in denying. He should think that a normal body practicioner will deny being accused as a mage in darian territory because of risks involved. And besides, kadeesh has doubts and no hard evidence, he was likely feeling out his suspicion. An relevant example: an experienced wife cheater will always deny/feign anger+ignorance when confronted of cheating.
