3 Creep

Rhys's ears perked up when he heard Marjorie mentioned that Heather asked about him and looked at her quizzically.

"That's him?" Heather asked as she went down the remaining steps of the stairs. "He's the guy I met at the coffee shop earlier. And now that I can see his face clearly without the mask, he is also the creep watching me from his window." She ranted.

Rhys's ears burned bright red when she said 'creep watching me from his window.' He covered his mouth with the back of his hand and looked away. He was thinking about the incident last night, but the moment Heather was referring to was actually when she saw him looking at her after she got her cap back from the moving van.

"Heather! Where are your manners!" Marjorie exclaimed. "Now quit your yapping and let's start eating." She turned to Rhys and continued, "Honey, sit down and have some of these." She then passed the plate of food to him.

Rhys did as he was told and started to eat.

At the beginning they ate breakfast in silence. Rhys was too shy to look at Heather for he felt guilty. Heather felt uncomfortable of the silence so she started talking to her Aunt Marjorie.

"Where is Uncle?"

"He left early saying he was in charge of training the newbies today."

"Oh... I see."

Marjorie's husband works as a trainer for Starlight Entertainment. It was considered as one of the Top Three entertainment companies in the country.

"Speaking of trainings, aren't you supposed to be at the company today?" Marjorie asked Rhys.

"You're a trainee?" Heather looked at Rhys. She wasn't surprised though since he's already told her this when they were younger.

"Yes. But I don't have any schedule today. "

"He already debuted. He's part of a group and he's actually the leader. He's just being humble." Marjorie interjected.

"Wow, so your dream finally came true, huh."

Rhys was surprised when he heard this. He didn't think she'd still remember. "Yeah."

After breakfast...

"Heather, I'll go to the coffee shop today. Rhys, is it okay if you stay until after I get back?"

"No problem."

"You're making him babysit me, too?!"

They both spoke at the same time.

"Yes. Now be good. I'll see you later. Take care of your nephew."

"Mmkay."

She then kissed the both of them on their cheeks and left. Her Aunt owns a few coffee shops around the city. Since she stayed at home for two months, Heather thought that her Aunt will be very busy visiting the shops starting today.

"So, you're now a singer. Show me your music videos!!"

Heather was excited to see her friend's MVs. She carried baby Dave and pulled Rhys's arm to her bedroom upstairs.

She asked Rhys to hold baby Dave as she turned on the computer, opened YouTube and looked at him.

"What's your group's name?"

"Lux"

Heather searched them and played the first video on the result - "La La La." The group's genre was hip hop. And since the group just debuted a few months ago, they only have one album - Lux Vol. 1. It only has 4 tracks but all tracks has a music video and Heather watched them all. After watching them she swiveled the chair to face him and decided to tease him.

"You have such a nice voice, how come you never sang me a song when we were kids?"

She asked him as she moved and laid on her bed, both hands propped on her chin.

"Well, you never asked me to sing for you then." He smiled as he pinched Dave's cheek. When he looked at her, he immediately averted his gaze. Due to how she was positioned on the bed, he can see her cleavage.

Heather knew why he averted his gaze. She just wanted to find out if he turned out to be one of the creeps who'll shamelessly stare at a woman's bossom. Satisfied that he averted his gaze the moment he looked at her, she stood up, carried baby Dave and laid back on the bed.

While she was busy playing with the baby, Rhys looked around the room. There were books scattered here and there in the room, despite having five floor to ceiling shelves. He went to her closet and was surprised to see very few clothes in there. There were only three pairs of pants, a couple of shirts and tank top, and a few clothes that she wears at home. Women loves to shop for clothes, right? How come she only has these much?

Heather was observing him silently, so when he looked at her she said, "Who needs clothes when you can just buy books? Anyway, I can just sleep at night barenaked." She then laughed when his cheeks turned red.

"Just kidding. I wouldn't be able to do that anyway. What with your room right in front of mine." She looked at him again. "But woudn't that be a treat for you." She smirked.

Heather laughed. "I'm sorry, I'll stop. Let's just talk like normal people."

"You're the only one who's not normal here." Rhys muttered as he took a book from the shelf and started reading the first page, though he returned it as soon as he reached the next page. He was not really into reading books.

Heather scooted over to the right when she saw Rhys walking towards her and smiled. "Sit here. Don't worry, I won't bite."

He sat next to her on the bed and they started talking about the past ten years. Heather told him about her school days and Rhys told her about his trainee days up to the time they debuted.

When Heather was no longer responding, he looked at her and saw that she already fell asleep. He laid down facing her. He tucked the hair that was on her face behind her ears. She looked like an angel when sleeping compared to when she was awake. He closed his eyes and fell asleep right away.

It was past seven o'clock when Marjorie returned home. Seeing that no one's downstairs, she placed the desserts on the table and went up to Heather's room.

It was quiet inside so she slowly opened the door and saw that they were sleeping. Baby Dave was already awake, sucking his thumb while playing with Heather's shirt. She slowly carried the baby so as not to wake the two up and went out of the room.

Rhys woke up thirty minutes later. They were both facing each other when he fell asleep, but now, they were hugging each other with her face buried in his chest, and one of her legs in between his.

He stopped breathing when he felt her stir and a certain part of him also decided to wake up. 'Damn. Why did it have to be now!" He closed his eyes, tried to even out his breathing and pretended to still be asleep.

Heather slowly woke up when she felt something poking her abdomen, and stiffened when she realized that it was not a pillow she was hugging but her friend Rhys. 'What the f*ck. When did we get this close?' She thought as she tried to get the thing that's been poking her stomach. She remembered she was feeding baby Dave with formula milk earlier while Rhys was talking and thought that it was probably the bottle.

But when her hand reached her stomach she couldn't find the bottle so she looked and her face turned crimson when she realized what was poking her. She slowly looked at Rhys to check if he was still asleep and saw his eyes were still closed and breathing still even. She slowly disentangled their legs, got up from the bed and carefully made her way out the room.

When Rhys heard the door closed, he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding in while Heather was trying to get out of bed. He can't believe she just did that. Yes, he's had girlfriends before but they never really lasted that long for their relationship to move on to the next level.

He decided to just forget about what happened for now and got up from the bed. When he reached the stairs, he heard Heather and Marjorie talking.

"Aunty, did you see Dave's bottle? I was sure that it was in the bed as I was feeding him before I fell asleep, but couldn't find it anywhere on the bed."

'Oh... So that was what she was doing then... '

"I already washed it. Why don't you wake Rhys up so we can have dinner. Your uncle will be late today."

Heather was about to go up the stairs but when she saw Rhys already coming down, her flushed face turned even redder. She just wanted the floor to open up and swallow her so she wouldn't have to face him.

Rhys seeing her flushed face decided to tease her a bit. "Are you okay? Why is your face so red?" He "worriedly" asked her.

Heather covered her face with both hands and ran towards the rest room. She looked in front of the mirror and cursed when she saw how red her face was.

After a while, she got out of the rest room and walked calmly towards the stairs where Rhys was still waiting for her.

When Rhys saw her, he smiled and said as he placed his arms around her shoulders. "I'm famished. Let's eat!"

After dinner Rhys helped Heather wash the dishes and went home.

***

Heather did not see Rhys or any of the other members of Smash the last couple of days so she thought they might be busy. She asked her uncle what they were up to and learned that they're actually preparing for their next album.

Since it has not been long since Heather moved in, she did not know anyone else in the neighborhood so she easily got bored.

She would try to watch movies or series on the television but would continuously change the channel after a few minutes.

She tried to read one of her books but couldn't get herself into it so she decided to close the book, changed her clothes and went out of the house with baby Dave.

Heather texted her aunt to ask her where she was. When she learned she was at her coffee shop, she decided to spend some of her time there.

The coffee shop where she's headed to is located in front of Starlight Entertainment so that is where some of the stars or trainees frequent when they have some free time. There are also a lot of fans who frequent their coffee shop so they can see their idols.

As Heather entered the coffee shop, she looked around to see if there is an available table but saw none so she instead went to counter when she saw her aunt there helping the staff prepare some of the orders.

When Marjorie saw Heather walking towards her with her baby, she wiped her hands and went to them. She picked up baby Dave from the stroller and started talking to him.

"How's my little pumpkin? Did you miss mommy? Did you? Awww... I missed you too!" She then cuddled him.

"Oh, we're a bit out of hands here. Would you be a dear and help Auntie with something?"

Since Heather had nothing to do she agreed. "Sure."

"Great. Can you deliver these to your Uncle? Those are coffees and snacks for him and the boys." Marjorie said as she handed Heather the paper bags. "I'll take care of Dave while you do that."

Heather took the paper bags with the coffee and snacks and went to Starlight Entertainment.
