still not quite understanding the thought process here. she has a water bloodline, going to take over the supreme laws of light, fire, and life. they have a phoenix, which seems to be intelligent and yet to hatch. phoenix represents exactly fire, light, and life. why did they just not take the egg with them?
Because that person should have a close relationship with Kai and willing to sacrifice her soul and existence to become forever one with Kai. they choose Alice as they needed a body which can sustain the power of law. Her bloodline nature allows that by evolving continually All Elemental spritual realm ruler are part of primordial will of Kai. The celestial world doesn't have one through because it is considered part of law of creation and Arya is already there playing the part but is incomplete. Death and life. Light and darkness are part of eachother and inseperable. Alice fit all those parameters perfectly. While phonix may be a powerful divine beast but it has its limitations and Arya also had to consider Kai feeling. After all he cannot have someone unknown know all of Kai secret and control the power of creation with him and become it's part.
