How

Liang Jian Amal continued to hold her patiently, even long after she had stopped crying. She still held tightly though, clinging for comfort. Leaning over the edge, he held her in his arms, being a rock for her in her storm of emotions. Although he desperately wanted to check and care for her injuries, he knew that she needed the release. So he stayed, waiting.

Holding him tightly, Chang could not seem to stop crying as all the darkness that was bottled inside emptied out. Just when she had resigned herself to her fate, Jian was there. She hated to think what would have happened if he had not been there. She hated to think of what had happened before he had arrived.

She had never felt so powerless, so weak, enfeebled before. She had always felt so strong, sure, and in control until then. Chang had always thought that she would be able to handle anything, but she could not.

'Jian.' Pressing her cheek against him, she let the tears brush off against him, grateful. 'Wait, why was Jian there then? How was he there when I needed him? How did he know?' Raising her head, Chang tried to blink the tears out of her eyes to see him clearly. She opened her mouth to ask him, perplexed, but her voice did not seem to work.

Pushing herself away from him, Chang tried to calm her racing mind. Looking down, Chang realized she had just madde a bloody, dirty mess out of his nice shirt. Pushing herself further from him in embarrassment, she finally processed the fact that she was naked in front of him.

'Oh my god! I can't believe I just let him take my clothes like that!' Her eyes opening wide in shock, she felt her face start to burn as blood rushed to her face. Pushing harder against his chest, Chang crossed an arm across hers protectively. The man held tightly onto her and refused to let her escape more than a few inches away. The hand on the back of her head held her close, keeping her locked in place despite her growing embarassment.

While the one on her head stayed in place, Chang felt the other one slide gently down her bare back. As his fingers brushed against her spine she could not help but to shiver a little. Leaving her skin Jian dipped his hand into the water briefly as he leaned forward.

As he leaned forward, Jian pulled her tighter to him, sighing into her ear. Feeling the fine hairs ruffling from his breath, Chang squeezed her eyes tight in anticipation.

'Ah, what's he doing now?!' Unable to sense what he was doing, Chang grew increasingly more nervous. A second later she had her answer though hearing him pull on the drain plug. Releasing the breath she did not realize that she was holding, Chang opened her eyes to notice just how filthy the water had already become. After pulling the plug to drain the ruined water, he started to run fresh water in.

Realeasing her slowly, Jian stood and went to the cabinet where the towels were and grabbed one. Watching him warily, Chang pressed her legs together and held both her arms against her chest. After grabbing a towel, Jian kneeled before and ran it under the stream of fresh water coming in.

Regarding her face with a stony expression, Chang watched as his expression became more enraged as he stared at her. Opening her mouth to speak, only air escaped before his eyes met hers, shocking her silent. Terrified at the burning rage that was undisguised, Chang could not help but to flinch and close her eyes.

With her eyes closed, she did not see the man's facial expression soften after seeing that he had scared her unintentionally. Taking the wet cloth the man wiped along her jawline, as gently as he could. When the pressure from his fingers met her face there was searing pain causing her to pull away. Seeing her drawing away from the gentlest of touches, Liang JianAmal's hand shook a little with the influx of emotions threatening to take over him.

Taking a deep breath to steady himself he whispered hoarsely to her, breaking the silence.

"Just stay still. I have to check and clean your injuries first." After he spoke he could see that she wanted to reject him immediately but did not do so. As she warred internally, he waited with the cloth raised.

After a minute, she nodded reluctantly and closed her eyes again. As she nodded she shifted her arms, tring to cover herself better. Watching, it hurt him to see her so on the defensive and wary with him. Yet there was nothing he could do for that at the moment.

As soft as a baby's breath he wiped the cloth across her face multiple times; revealing the tender, bruised skin under all the blood and street grit. After cleaning her face, he wanted to continue with her body, but as she was already uncomfortable with him he could not. At least not now.

Setting the cloth down onto the side of the tub, Liang JianAmal sighed as he stood. They had a lot of progress to recover together.

"I have to make a phone call. Finish cleaning yourself. I will clean up your injuries as soon as you are out." Looking up at him in confusion, Chang nodded at him. Taking one last look at her, he closed the door behind him and walked to the outside balcony. Pulling out his phone, he punched in his assistant's number with extreme vehemence.. After a few rings he answered, sounding like he had just rolled out of bed.

"Huh, boss? Ahem. Yes, sir?"

"Get to the alley between xx street and xx, near Chang's work. There are two men unconscious in the alley way, I want them apprehended immediately! Also call Lawyer Zhen, wait, no. Find a good lawyer from the area, I want those two buried where they will never see the light of day again!" Snarling into his phone Liang JianAmal immediately hung up after saying all the he meant to.

Still frustrated, he pulled a cigarette out. Puffing angrily on it. Lost in his thoughts, he stayed until he heard a voice from behind him.

"When did you start smoking again?" Turning he saw Chang standing in the doorway, with an over-sized white towel wrapped around her. Outside the towel her hung loose around her, occassionally dripping from the ends of her curls. Immediately snubbing out his cigarette, Liang JianAmal turned and swept her into his arms, ignoring her protests.
