The Taste of A Pretty Woman's Lips

The whole surgical team had already gathered inside the OR lounge when he arrived, all in their scrub suits. Few minutes later, they all gathered by the OR table and the circulating nurses soon got busy in assisting them into their surgical gowns, face masks, hair nets and everything.

The anesthesiologist and his team were busy with their ampules and syringes. Overhead lights were adjusted. Intubation set rechecked. Surgical sets opened. Machines turned on. Heart - Lung machine repositioned. Everything else readied.

And as the patient was still prepared into the Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, one of the doctors suddenly spoke out to tease Jim.

" Dr. Jim, it has always been a rumor that you never get into a relationship. It is such a pity for all these women around here to remain dreaming about you."

"I am as well dreaming about them! "

Jim chuckled.

"Ladies, who among you here is ready to confess her feelings for him?" Dr. Jim is going to treat you a candle - lit dinner! " Another doctor joined in.

"Dr. Jim, may I help you with your gown? Or, with your gloves? Then, I would feel like winning the lottery! "

The women inside the room screeched in thrill and excitement.

"OMG, Dr. Jim. If only I could touch your face and kiss you, I would die in peace!"

The room erupted in laughters while Jim could only shake his head. Just as the teasing hushed down, someone else came in.

"Dr. Jiiiiiiiiiim, how does it feel to kiss a pretty woman's lips? She jumped and tossed around in overwhelming thrill and excitement.

" I saw it! I just saw it! Ayeeeeee! "

"What? Don't you dare hurt me with your lies. Dr. Jim would someday be miiiiiine! "

"It's not a lie! Many of us saw it. He kissed her for twenty minutes that's why he is late! "

All eyes fell on him, all rolled wide in excitement. Whaaat? Dr. Jim has a woman already???

"Guys, why are you surprised? Dr. Jim is stunningly handsome, so he could freely choose whom to kiss everyday.. "

"I am honored to be on the queue! "

"I would choose a Monday for my turn, Dr.Jim!"

Dr. Jim had always known about the stir he had caused to the women in the facility. Many of them would find excuses to talk to him. Many of them would stare at him blankly.

Everytime he went inside the nurses stations, he could feel their eyes digging a hole into his back. When faced squarely, they would end up nodding in agreement to his instructions with totally empty heads. And the moment he would step out from the room, phone calls would follow him clarifying his orders. Silly women!

It was such an irony that many women became crazy when he's around. Yet, the only woman he treasured in his life, found him worthless and difficult to love.
