Chapter 1Prologue

"So, that's it. The so-called truth those fools have been searching for, fighting for, and died for."

A man stood alone, surrounded by nothingness, but a dim light far off in the distance growing ever so slightly brighter yet closer with each passing moment as he reminisced about the past.

"And I can't believe I was actually roped in along with them!"

His lips twisted mockingly into an all-knowing smile as he reflected upon his youth. Though he was rather irresponsible at times, he was not an overly greedy person that was willing to hurt others just for his own benefit. Starting from a young age, he still possessed the same strict moral standard to this very day.

Alas, he was zealously ambitious yet vastly inexperienced in the ways of the world which ultimately lead to his downfall. Due to his ignorance, he was easily manipulated by others, often not only bringing much harm to himself, but to his close ones as well. Worst case scenario, it brought forth regrettable consequences and irreversible damage.

His maroon colored eyes flickered with indescribable emotion as he stared intensely into the growing glaring light. It was hard to tell what exactly he was feeling. An expression between deep hatred, acute sadness, mixed with great anguish and endless longing before it was not too soon washed away, replaced by a look of relief. Comforted, in perhaps, knowing that the end was near.

"At the very least, it's not all that bad. I got to learn the conclusion to this madness, and finally..."

He gently closed his eyes, gladly embracing the inevitable.

"Sorry. I must have kept you waiting huh. At last, I'll be able to see you once more, and this time we will never part ever again."

The light, as though it had heard his thoughts clearly, rapidly grew at an astronomical pace enveloping him whole.
