Chapter 1

Faint glimmers of the moon, that dominated the sky like a monarch, were washing those deadly silent streets. As far as one could look, there was no sign of life. The once lively city of the day had retreated to the deadly stillness of night. People were hiding in the safe haven of their homes.

In the deafening silence, quick steps could be heard. A frail girl of 15 or 16 was being chased by a couple of scoundrels. Her brilliant black hair flowing back shone under the moon. She looked back acutely.

"Stop you bitch!", cried the scoundrel.

Her eyes glinted with devious disposition. Her heart was pounding in her ears. Her breathing was unsteady and shaky from exertion. For a spectator, she looked like a pure pristine girl who was as fragile as glass. She was no match for those bulky men.

The girl was fast and agile. Her movements were swift but what could one do if the fate has other arrangements?

Eventually she was was halted by the blind end of an alley. She frowned and whirled to change her path but the exit was already blocked by the scoundrels.

One of them laughed wickedly, "Got you bitch! Where would you run now?"

She was trapped. There was no way out. Now there was no choice other than hand to hand combat.

The girl looked around with a calculating gaze. She wasn't going to beg for mercy as one could expect from a little girl in her situations. Those sick sadistic basters wanted the very same thing. They didn't have an ounce of mercy.

"Such an ego, why don't you get on your knees and start begging for mercy and we might consider granting you an easy death", the uglier one said with a hideous grin as he neared her.

She didn't say a thing. Her eyes remained focused.

Those ugly men gave off a repellent stink. They were shabby and filthy looking.

Her face scrunched in disgust. Her fists tightened. But other than that she was cool. A thick layer of frost successfully secured her inner thoughts.

They slowly cornered her seeking the look of fright at their prey but she gave off nothing. She was wearing an impermeable mask. Her eyes were cold, her face was blank.

"Looks like you really don't have any will left to live. In that case we'll help you"

She thought she wouldn't have to stain her hands tonight but perhaps...

Her thin lips curled up slightly but it was shadowed by the darkness of night. Her green eyes glistened with brilliance. Her perfect black bangs secured her face as she leaned back against the wall appearing to be as fragile as glass. A facade to lure the enemy.

The men laughed in triumph and neared her taking her silence for submission.

First rule of streets-Never to let your guard down.

Once they were at the reachable distance, with an abrupt dash, she took the men off-guards, hitting them at the weakest points. Her dark hair flung around her gracefully as the both men ended up on ground, screaming and clutching their vitals.

It happened too fast for any one of them to register. They only saw shifting shadows before the pain numbed their senses. The girl knew martial art. Before they could regain their senses she swiftly withdrew a dagger that had been thoroughly hidden. She grabbed a fistful of hair of the man in front of her and sliced his throat sharply. Blood spurted out.

Now the girl stood, looming in front of other man, her once pure white dress was stained with fresh blood.

The other man's face twisted in terror to witness blood oozing out of his companion's throat. He crawled back in utter horror.

"P-Please-please have mercy"

Second rule of streets-Never to show mercy to your enemy. If you do they'll come for you the other day.

To see the girl's murderous face , he knew he stood no chance. He turned to get on his feet to run but just then the girl stabbed his back effortlessly killing him. The splatters of blood flew and stained the girl's once flawless face. Her lips curled up in a savage smirk.

A sharp scream invaded the silence of night but it eventually died off into the silence of night.

Leaving no traces behind, she was about to leave when she heard the noise of screeching tiers.

The night was still young.

Couple of cars pulled out outside the alley. Dozen of strong, sturdy steps could be heard heading for inside the alley. The girl hurriedly approached a corner beside a garbage container and covered herself with a rag as well as she could.

Voices became louder.

The girl pursed her pink lips, tightening her hold over the the dagger.

"Did they really have to choose a place like this?", a man's exasperated voice echoed in the silent alley. It was Andrian-the second in command.

"Well they did point that secrecy of the deal must be guaranteed", Adam-the third in command countered, his voice quieter and unsure.

"But they had the audacity of requesting the big boss presence?", said Andrian, his voice stingy.

Arsenio Ishiko-the big boss- the peerless youth- was standing at the middle leaning against the wall. His eyes were closed and his face was expressionless. His out-standing features stood tall, distinguishing him in the crowd. His face was sharp and gorgeous. His arms were crossed in front of him as he was quiet as always. He placed the cigar between his thin lips and after a while puffed out thick, white smoke.

His domineering temperament rendering him as the most important person. His lethal presence portraying that the man has walked out straight from tenth levels of Hell. His lethargic stance clinching his authority as everyone around him was stiff as conscious of his divine identity.

"Well that's how it is when it comes to with politicians", said Adam pensively.

The girl peeked slightly at them through hole in the rag as they continued to converse. All she saw was black boots-lots of black boots. She could make out that they were all dressed expensively, in black. They looked like important men. But it was obvious they were no decent men to be there at the time of night. Her closest speculation was they belonged to mafia.

If that was true then she was in real danger now. If they fond out about her, they wouldn't consider twice before killing her. They might abduct her and sell her to a brothel and that would be more horrible that death.

Reflecting about her situation, she tried to stay as quiet as possible. These men had nothing to do with her and she must not get discovered. Time passed, she didn't know how long she stayed at her place.

Other party arrived, discussed things she didn't understand and had no interest in. Then the other party left. Finally it seemed like they were also going to leave but at the last time something unexpected happened.

All the time Arsenio didn't say a single word and let his men do the business. He looked such aloof and sublime that no one even dared to disturb him as he maintained the same stance. Everything went smoothly and they were about to leave when he disposed off his cigar, lazily opened his eyes, walked right to where the girl was hiding, grasped the rag and threw it away with a jerk exposing her.

The girl looked at him with big startled eyes.
