3 Training

The next morning Ni Yuzhou woke up in her father's arms, she felt really comfortable and refreshed after the medicinal bath that he made for her. Ni Yuzhou wiggled a little bit to let her father know that she was awake.

As always he let go of her as soon as she wiggled and got up from the bed to start his day. She watched him to see if he was going to say anything to her about cultivation but instead he said.

"Let's go out to eat first, you are going to need it."

Ni Yuzhou just got up a little disappointed as she thought she was doing what she normally did and not becoming a cultivator right away, however, she still followed her father to go out to eat.

They went down two streets to go to a vendor that they normally visited every morning.

"The usual?" The man at the shop asked the pair of father-daughter. They had always visited his shop every morning ever since Ni Yuzhou was 2 and that was 6 years ago.

"Yeah." Ni Yuzhou's father replied blandly. The man at the shop did not get mad at his reply, he had always been this way ever since he had met him. The weirdest thing that he tried to figure out was that man's name, every time he tried to ask he would not reply and act as nothing happened.

The shop owner handed them two steamed buns and two fried dough twists with some water. The father-daughter pair got their breakfast.

"Thank you, uncle." Ni Yuzhou said. Her father might not have any manners but that did not mean she did not.

"Your welcome." The shop owner said with a smile. He had always liked this little girl, too bad she did not look too good if she did he would not mind marrying his son to her.

As soon as he said that Ni Yuzhou hurried to catch up to her father as he just directly walked off when he got his breakfast. They both unwrapped their steamed buns and bit into it at the same time, this was something that was gained through their years of bonding.

They ate while they walked back to their house, her father was the one to finish his meal first and she was done a few moments after. They had arrived at their house as soon as they finished their breakfast, something that was also practiced through time.

They both walked into the house and then her father finally said something.

"Sit down."

She did as she was told and she was a little excited, he was probably going to tell her about cultivation, but what he said next confused her.

"Did you rest well?"

Ni Yuzhou nodded. In fact, she had a great sleep, the medicinal bath helped her a lot.

"Do you want to cultivate?"

This time she nodded like a chicken pecking rice off the ground.

"Do you want me to teach you?"

She still nodded repeatedly.

"If I teach you I will no longer be your father during that time and instead I will be your master, will you accept that?" Ni Yuzhou's father said expressionlessly.

This time Ni Yuzhou took a little while to think. In the end, she still nodded, she wanted to become a cultivator really badly and her father would still be her father during regular times so she did not mind. Then her father stated

"Then we will be starting now. Follow me."

"Yes, father." Ni Yuzhou said.

Her father just looked at her coldly. She felt a bit uncomfortable under that gaze, he had never stared at her like that. She found her mistake and corrected herself.

"Yes, master."

Her master nodded and then walked through the house in large strides and to the backyard and did not care if she could keep up or not. Ni Yuzhou had to run to keep up to his pace.

He reached the middle of their backyard and stood there. He stood there like an unshakable mountain and that scared her a little bit she had never seen this side of him before.

"Your goal today is to hit me if you do not hit me then today you will not eat." Her master coldly stated. His voice was unrefutable, Ni Yuzhou firmly believed that if she did not hit him today he really would not let her eat.

She also was curious, what did this have to do with cultivation? Wasn't cultivation sitting down and meditating for a long time? However, she still trusted her master.

She took a deep breath to calm herself, she prepared the best stance she could muster and tried to hit him. When her fist almost hit him he suddenly dodged. Ni Yuzhou threw another few punches at her master and none of them hit.

The fists looked like they would and then he would suddenly change positions. After 15 minutes of throwing punches, she was somewhat tired but not as much as she thought, 'it must be that bath' she thought in her mind.

She was getting the hang of it when he would suddenly dodge she would have already thrown a punch towards the position that she thought he was going to. Some would hit that spot but a lot of them would go somewhere else that he would go to.

Her master seeing that she was getting the hang of it nodded inwardly, 'she has no combat experience but she is learning so fast'. Her learning speed was amazingly quick almost reaching him in his younger years.

She may have learned fast but she was still far away from hitting him. Ni Yuzhou after half an hour she realized that she could use her feet too, it added the likely hood of her hitting him if she had more ways to hit him.

She then began using her feet, it was hard for her to combo her feet into the rhythm of her punches but she slowly began to feel it out. Ni Yuzhou was still mostly using her punches with some kicks here and there.

The time started to roll by as drops of sweat appeared oh Ni Yuzhou's forehead, she was about three hours in and she still could not even find anything that could help her hit her master. She could tell that she was improving, yes but at the rate that she was improving she would not hit him even if she spent an entire year.

Ni Yuzhou, with an 8 years old mentality was getting anxious, she started throwing punches and kicks left and right madly.

Seeing this her master furrowed his brows a little bit, barely noticeable. She was doing so well until a moment ago.

"Rest." He ordered. If she kept that up it would end up hurting her instead of helping her.

When Ni Yuzhou heard that she was a little surprised but quickly calmed down. She then started to think about what she was doing a minute ago. When she realized what she did she almost laughed at herself, she got overly anxious.

She decided to stay calm in the fight, if she did not she would not hit him even if it depended on her life. Ni Yuzhou then started thinking about how to hit her master, she looked around to see if anything around her could help. There was nothing that perticularly stood out to her when she suddenly had an idea when staring at something...
