Ni Yuzhou cried even more after that, he had never apologized for anything before.

The pair stayed like that for a while, she was there hugging her father who was gently looking at her while patting her. She stopped crying after a long time but she did not let go, she seemed to be hugging him with all her might.

"Can you tell me about yourself daddy?" She asked softly, she calmed down a little. While she lived with him her whole life she barely knew anything about him, perticurly his past.

Her father was looking in the distance with saddened eyes as he heard his daughter.

"Let me tell you a little story...

There was once a little boy, he lived with his master his whole life, he was happy, he was content, he wanted to live the rest of his life like that. Unfortunately... fate did not let him. One day that boy was playing in the garden, suddenly the sky turned dark, large beasts appeared out of nowhere and attacked the place where that boy and his master stayed.

The boy's master tried to hold off the monsters with all his might but he was no match. The boy who was watching had no idea what was going on, he had lived a sheltered life until then, he had no idea what to do. The master, with his final breaths casted a spell on that clueless boy away from his home, his home that he had lived in his whole life.

The little boy got teleported to a forest, he stood there lifelessly, he had no idea what to do. That boy who was once full of joy and happiness did not know how to react, so he did what was natural, he closed himself up, closed himself from people, from his emotions, even... himself."

Ni Yuzhou had started crying again, she knew that the story was about her father, she felt sorry for him. He was always there for her so why couldn't she be there for him? She hugged him softly as trying to convey the message that she cared for him.

Her father let out a little smile as he felt her emotions, he did not linger on those emotions any longer. He then lifted her up and carried her off to bed, there they slept peacefully like they did everyday before.
