The Beast Places One Foot Into the Dark Side

Rockstar Pub.

It was situated in the 'bad' part of the town where thugs liked to roam around and no one who was sane enough would walk around there alone.

The pub was controlled by a local gang so a lot of illegal things tended to happen under the tables. The owner seemed to be someone who had connections with the police, so raids happened less frequently there compared to other places, thus allowing many unsightly things to happen.

Although he was reluctant, Hyuk really did ended up going there.

Ji Yeong Gi had also started to frequent this place ever since one of his lackeys brought him there. Of course, the only reason he kept coming was because they were served alcohol even though they were minors.

"Yo~ so you came after all," he greeted Hyuk with a crooked smirk, as if he had already expected his arrival.

"So?" Hyuk asked gruffly. "What do you want?"

"What? I just wanted to get to know my new best friend, so I invited you here. You don't like this place?" Yeong Gi tilted his head, sighing in disappointment.

"Who's this guy, Yeong Gi?" Asked someone sitting nearby. He scanned Hyuk challengingly, frowning.

"Don't be rude, Daehoon. He's a 'friend', isn't he, Yeong Gi?" A girl sitting with her legs crossed laughed sultrily. She batted her eyes at him, her red lips quirking into a satisfied smirk. It was apparent that she liked what she saw. Hyuk was, despite his battle wounds, quite good looking, after all. Added with the bruises, the cold demeanour, and the slightly haunted look hidden in his eyes, he was the definition of a classic 'bad boy'.

The girl next to her rolled her eyes, "You d*mn witch, didn't you already have a boyfriend? Stop looking at him like you want to eat him; he'll run away, you crazy b*tch."

"Tch," the red-lipped girl clicked her tongue. She pulled out her phone and typed away. Then, she handed it to the other girl, "There. I broke up with him already. He was boring anyways."

"Crazy b*tch..." The girl muttered, scrolling through the phone. It buzzed in quick succession as the poor guy who the girl had just broken up with sent texts asking, 'why?' and 'what's wrong?'

"Hey~ what's your name? I'm Bom. Everyone calls me Bomi, though," the girl smiled, winking at Hyuk. She got up and approached him, swaying her hips. She leaned into him, whispering with a sexy voice, "Got a girlfriend?"

Hyuk avoided contact with the girl but spared a glance at her. He didn't like her attitude but one thing attracted him: her hairstyle. Although she tied her hair into a high ponytail, her bangs were cut straight, similar to Yeo Ri's. If he squinted and ignored all the makeup smacked on her face, she kind of resembled Yeo Ri. Just a little bit.

"Hey, Bomi, don't scare away my friend! It was hard to get him here, you know?" Yeong Gi slapped her butt, causing her to jump up.

She glared at him, "Hey! Why did you hit me so hard?!" She rubbed the sore spot with a frown. "Whatever! Fine, I'll leave him alone, for now. Handsome Oppa, come and find me if you're free, okay~" She sent a flying kiss towards Hyuk as she trotted back to her seat.

Hyuk's frown deepened. It seems like coming here was a mistake.

Yeong Gi laughed in delight. It seemed funny to him after seeing the resident man-eater placing her target on Hyuk.

He dragged Hyuk to sit with him and shooed away the rest of the people who were hanging around him, saying, "Go away! I want to talk to him in private."

Some of the guys sent annoyed glares at Hyuk, but since Yeong Gi had spoken, they could only follow. It was clear that Yeong Gi was the leader among them.

Sensing the apparent distaste among the guys, Yeong Gi patted Hyuk as if to comfort him, "Don't mind those losers. They're just a bunch of stupid bootlickers and small fries that can't survive on their own," Yeong Gi said, feeling no remorse after badmouthing them. He didn't regard those people as his friends at all.

"Aren't they your friends?" Hyuk asked in bemusement.

Yeong Gi laughed, as if he had heard the funniest thing ever. "Friends? Please, you must be joking. Why would I be friends with a bunch of sheep *sskissers? They're only hanging around me because they feel insecure and want to pretend. I'm pretty strong, remember?"

"..." Hyuk glanced at Yeong Gi deeply. It was obvious that the guy had never had a real friend before. But then again, Hyuk couldn't judge him; he himself had no friends.

"But anyways, You're a virgin, aren't you?" Yeong Gi asked, smirking slyly.

Hyuk's face darkened, "Buzz off, sh*thead!"

Yeong Gi shrugged and laughed again, "I'm not mocking you. I'm just saying, this is the right time to lose your virginity. Bomi's smoking hot, after all."

Hyuk glared at the guy who was saying such vulgar things with a smile on his face. If not because he owed him a favour, Hyuk would have throttled him ages ago.

In the end, Hyuk settled with giving the idiot a slap on the back of his head.

Yeong Gi's followers were watching them from afar, and after seeing Hyuk hit Yeong Gi, they got up as if getting ready to help Yeong Gi get his revenge. However, contrary to their expectations, Yeong Gi was not at all offended and was laughing instead. Their interactions were baffling to the followers, and even Bomi had acknowledged that Hyuk wasn't just some lost sheep who wanted to get on Yeong Gi's good side like the rest of them.
