Talk With God

I opened my eyes to the sight of a vast grassland. The same grassland that I appeared in before I had used the time chamber to prepare myself for what I had just gotten out of. It all remained the same, the same clear blue sky, the same grass covered ground that moved with the comforting wind and then, the same old man who was god appeared before me.

"It is good to see you, child. You did exceptionally well on this quest that had been thrust onto you. The rest of the gods were also impressed with what you showed and we all agree that it will only be a matter of time before you reach the demi god rank of strength and then attain divinity like us." God spoke with a smile once I got my focus on him from the surroundings and all I could do was give a wry smile at what he just said.

"Yeah, I'm sure you do. There were times when I thought that my luck had run out there you know. I seriously though I would die because of the run of bad luck I had encountered." I mumbled the last part as I engaged in a bit of chit chat with god which not just anyone can do as I thought back to my more than a little adventure.

"Ah, well, you see, just like how I wasn't able to interfere in that plane, the god who has the divinity of luck is also not an exception. You are someone who comes under his governance when it comes to luck so when you entered that plane, his influence on your luck was being interfered. The only reason you didn't completely run out of luck was because he expected for such a thing to happen so he made your luck to burst out from time to time." God explained to me once he heard my mumbles as he gave a slight chuckle to me.

"I wasn't being serious when I said that but should I be saying, of course that's what happened. Anyway, there are somethings that I would like to know. By the way, what is your divinity, if you don't mind me asking that is." I gave a blank face to that as I spoke to him before turning to the topic in a direction which I was dying to know about while also asking what his divinity was seeing as he brought in the topic by himself for the first time.

"Of course I don't mind. As I said, it is only a matter of time before you reach demi god rank and you will be told these things by then anyway. As for my divinity, it is blessing. How do you think I gave you the understanding of how to control space and time? I am the only one who can hand out understanding of the laws to a beginner like that."

"You mean to say that I didn't get the power to control space and time?" I asked god after hearing what he said. If that is the case, then things would finally make sense because now it was clear why I had to train to get better control on the two.

"Of course you didn't. No one can control a law from the get go and that includes us gods, not to mention a mortal like you. The only thing I did was enlighten you on the law of space and time. The rest would have depended on you and I must say you have progressed heavily in the path of laws. While you are nowhere near the level of a god, your understanding towards the two laws of space and time is the highest of any mortal across the vast multiverse that is aiming for divinity." God didn't hold back on his sarcasm there did he? Anyhow, this has finally cleared some of the things that I have expressed doubt over in my mind but never brought it out. But knowing how this is working, I now know that I must start to focus on the two laws again. So that when I reach demi god rank, I would have a higher chance of forming my own divinity. Although I don't even know how to form one, but that can be left alone for now.

"That can be left for some other time. I have to clear somethings right now. From what I can understand from your earlier words, you know what happened on that plane. So can you tell me if you know anything about those black spots that they used?" I finally asked the question that has been plaguing me since I fought with Blackbeard as I stared at god with a serious expression.

"Hm, I did see it. But to know what that is and how it worked against you, I will give you a bit of a history lesson. Now, the multiverse was born out of two laws. Among these two laws, there is a first and a second in the order that they existed. Because of this the first law in existence has an edge over the second. And from these two laws clashing came the third and the fourth law. The latter two were obviously weaker than the first two but it wasn't much. And these four laws are what actually created the multiverse. The worlds, the laws and the different universes, they were all created from these four laws." God stopped here to let me digest the information and I did so without a word before nodding at him to let him continue.

"These four laws are space and time which you have understanding of and darkness and light. These four are the strongest laws since the very beginning. Light and space are equal to each other but behind time and darkness. Time and darkness as you might have guessed are the originators and the strongest of the laws. Among these two, darkness came before time and so has a slight advantage on the latter."

"Those black spots are from the law of darkness aren't they?" I interrupted him once I got the gist of what he would say next and I was proven right when he nodded at me.

"That's right, it is darkness. They were using their understanding on the law of darkness to counter your understanding of the law of time without actually knowing about you using the law. I am guessing you would think that Blackbeard should have a much deeper understanding towards it since he has a connection to it from his devil fruit but since he never really tried to train and gain a deeper understanding towards the law, he was never able to use it well. Now, have I cleared your doubts?" he finished his explanation as he asked this and I gave a nod after mulling over it for some time.

"Alright that's good. I wanted to thank you for your efforts at his quest and also clear any thoughts you might have had, that was the reason I brought you here. Now, if there is nothing else, I will be sending you back. Once again, thank you for handling this messy situation on behalf of the gods." God spoke as he gave me a smile which was of gratitude.

"It's fine. Although I almost died multiple times, I did have some fun. Well anyway, see you later." I replied to him and waved a goodbye seeing him wave his hand back and my vision turn black right after. Just like I said, I had fun on this little trip and I am not regretting it since I didn't die in the end.
