Prologue

The boundless Primordial Chaos.

Consist of multiverse, planes, and countless planets.

In legends, Pangu, the first lifeform born from chaos, with his Sky-Splitting Axe split chaos and created the multiverse. Utilizing Primordial Laws, he sacrificed his life to create different lifeforms.

However, another legend told that the multiverse took form from an evolved speck of dust.

The mysteries of how it all began had never been uncovered. Perhaps it was all a myth, a legend.

Or perhaps Destiny had answers. Answers waiting to be found by the Destined ONE who would finally uncover the secrets of the Primordial Chaos.

A universe primarily consists of three planes: the lowest Mortal Plane, the middle Immortal Plane, and the Deity or God Plane.

The Boundless Primordial Chaos was governed by Primordial Chaos Laws.

Eons passed and the Multiverse borne different intelligent lifeforms: Humans, Devils, Beast and Demons.

The myriads life-forms across the vast multiverse would at times had conflicts which couldn't be avoided even if one wanted to. Oftentimes, it resulted in bloodshed. For one to survive, one needs to strengthen himself through cultivation.

Cultivation had two paths: Body's Cultivation and Qi cultivation.

However, a few chose a more difficult path, cultivating both their Body and Qi at the same time.

As cultivation systems improved, countless strong Cultivators started to appear. While they continued to grow stronger, so did the conflicts between them. Gods and immortals vied for hegemony as they wished to control the multiverse causing endless battles.

Different eras had mythical battles. Some were recorded while others were forgotten in the river of time. In those wars, blood flowed like water. Countless lifeforms died and turned into mountains of bones. Gods and immortals fell.

In one particular war, one of the top God battled with his life on the line. Countless of experts saw his black flame armor being extinguished. When his enemies thought that he was at the end of his rope, he was swallowed by a black void. The black Void tore the spatial barrier and sent him falling into an unknown tiny blue planet in an unknown universe.

In a faraway galaxy. Lower Realm of an unknown universe.

A tiny blue planet, Earth, as the natives call it, had low Essence Qi.

To make up for it, Earth strived for technological advancement. During the last 200 years, science and technology advanced by leaps and bound.

A legend stated that 5000 years ago, people with magical abilities that could move mountains and split the seas existed on earth. They called themselves cultivators. Nobody knew their origins or how they arrived on earth. However, conflicts begot a massive war claiming the lives of countless cultivators until no one remains. They just vanished without a trace.

Today, this legend was almost forgotten. As technology advanced, almost nobody talked of these legends anymore. Except for a few people who were fans of eastern fantasy novels.

In the year 2221, the world's famous virtual reality game, LEGEND was celebrating its 20th year anniversary. This was almost like a second world for humanity as 10% of the 20 billion people around the world played the game. LEGEND became a place where people and corporations were like fortune seekers. All transactions were done online, so one just needed to bind his or her bank account into their game account. Billions of people, from men to women, old and young plays the game. Some played for fun and enjoyment. Some old people played as a retirement lifestyle. However, most people played the game for money since most major companies were also invested into the game.

In this game, Feng Ji Xuan was a Level 498 Thief and Vice-Guild Leader of the Super guild ILLUSIONS CIRCLE. He played the game for 15 odd years and could be considered as one of top 3 expert in the game.

With his position as Vice-Guild Leader and a special relationship with the Guild Leader Cuo Yun'er, he became one of the highest paid executives in the guild.

Words were stuck in his throat as he struggled to ask why. Slowly, the tears dropped from his eyes. He felt so much regret.

That was the last thing he heard. His life ended.
