"So this is battle energy…."
He then began to channel the energy toward his palm- and he could see a bluish aura enveloping his entire palm- it felt like he's wearing a thin layer of cotton glove on that palm.
"Sweet…"
One Month later~
Outside in the courtyard stood a youth wielding a short wooden sword in a fighting stance- against his opponent who is a guardsman within the castle.
"John- how do you think of my skill?"
This youth was none other than Leonard Welser.
"Not bad young master- your skill with the sword has improved vastly during the past two weeks- it's only a matter of time before you completely surpassed me."
The Guardsmen John replied in a flattering tone.
"Alright then let stop here for today, please return to your duty before the captain notices you, John," Leonard told the Guardsmen.
"At once young master." the Guardsmen replied and then salute then he left returning to his duty.
Leonard then gave a mental command to bring the system status screen up.
Name: Leonard Welser (human)
Title: "The Good for Nothing" (The Loser who made a pact with God)
Technique: Battle Energy Training Technique- Level 1( can be upgraded to another level through gathering a certain type of materials.)
Level : 3
EXP: 0/300
Vitality: 2.1
Strength: 1.8
Agility: 1.9
Leonard has been training vigorously with John the Guardsmen for the past month, and surprisingly intense training actually boosted one own stats- like that of vitality improving by 0.1 points and strength/agility improved by 0.2 points.
Adding to the leveling bonuses giving by the training technique everytime he leveled up- he's now almost twice as strong as an adult man.
How who notice that his strength was like a drop in the ocean.
Because for a fact that a guardsman that the family employed (John) is close to having the strength five times that of a normal human...one could guess how monstrous the inhabitant of this world could get.
Guardsmen John also told him that in the world- his strength could only be considered nothing- at most be cannon fodder if war were to broke out.
He also told Leonard that he was only at the First Gate - the gate of the opening within the mortal 8 eight gates.
He told Leonard that since there are eight mortal gates then it means that there's a total of eight realms above him.
After listening to John description- Leonard manage to compile a list.
"First Gate: opening, Second Gate: Healing, Third Gate: Life , Fourth Gate: Wonder, Fifth Gate: Limit, Sixth Gate: Pain, Seventh Gate: Shock and finally the Eight Gate: Death- it is said that those whose on the Eight Gate is the foundation of those powerful noble family and clans through this region of the world- at most each of those family only had about a five of these experts at most."
Leonard, of course, continues to keep pestering John for more information.
Of which he manages to get- but not solid evidence.
John told that there's still the legend of the four divine gates- however it was all rumors and legend.
Leonard then looks back at the system status screen- specifically at the upgrade of the battle energy technique.

"System- what're the materials I need to upgrade the battle energy technique?" he asked the system.

Leonard put his hand into one of his pockets and pulled out a small blue crystal- the size of a ping pong ball.
