5 Three Empires and Nine Sects
Walking for five minutes Ye Jian reached the library building. The library is a two-floor circular building. The stairs for the first floor is at the center of the ground floor. The books are arranged in wooden rakes along the wall and tables are arranged near the rakes for people to sit and read. The books in the library can be rent for three days and should be returned within time or else fine will be imposed.
Ye Jian thought to read the books in the library so that if he got bored with one book he can select another book. There is a desk near the entrance of the library with an old man sitting there, he is responsible for issuing and collecting the books. all the members in the family are allowed to enter the library and borrow books there are no restrictions and a person can borrow five books at a time and he can not reissue the same book continuously so that others get a chance to read that book. Ye Jian walked towards the entrance of the library with Xiao Mi following behind him.
At the entrance the old man stopped Ye Jian and pointing to Xiao Mi he said only family members are allowed inside the library. Ye Jian casually said to the old man " she is my slave". The old man was dumbstruck because Xiao Mi clothing is new and her mannerism is elegant no one can think she is a slave to somebody. The old man hesitated for a while and allowed Ye Jian to enter the library.
Ye Jian entered the library along with Xiao Mi. He searched through the library and found three books regarding history, geography, and martial arts, he said to Xiao Mi to search for books interesting to her. She selected two books and returned to where Ye Jian was and started reading but Ye Jian not able to concentrate because there are so many people in the library who, are ogling at Xiao Mi, Ye Jian subconsciously considered Xiao Mi belonged to him and him only and not able to tolerate others wolf-like gazes on her. He is a possessive person. So, he said to Xiao Mi that they will get to their room and read, he took the books to the counter and registered it and returned to his room.
Both of them sat peacefully on the bed and continued to read books without disturbing each other. At afternoon food was delivered to him in his room, he and Xiao Mi ate and continued to read books till evening. After that, they went to bath one after the other. The room was fitted with some kind of crystal for lighting and one has to cover it if they want to put off the light. they both immersed in reading and steadily gained knowledge about the continent. Dinner is delivered to their room, they both ate dinner without any conversation. All are busy with marriage works of Ye Jian and nobody came to disturb him. He after reading for some time and went on to sleep. He said to still reading Xiao Mi "I am going to sleep. Switch off the light after you are done with reading".
Ye Jian slowly closed his eyes and remembered what all he had read today about this continent. This continent is called dragnor continent and is very vast. Its four sides are covered with ocean water and the surrounding water body is called the Profound Heavenly ocean. According to the book, nobody knows how big the ocean is and nobody knows the name of the planet they are living in. nobody cared, whether the planet is round or flat. It did not mention anybody who explored the ocean. It says that heavenly profound ocean contains ferocious magical sea monsters and nobody returned alive after venturing into it.
The dragnor continent is divided into three large empires. The Azure Dragon empire in the south. The Red Dragon empire in the center and the Ice Dragon empire in the north. The Azure Dragon and the Red Dragon empire are divided by narrow range of mountains from east to west and its breadth is about 1000 miles. The Red Dragon and Ice Dragon empire are separated by a huge river called heavenly serpent river which divides the continent into two parts. The south of the Azure Dragon kingdom is a vast wilderness and many ancient looking mountains occupied the area. The deeper we go in the south there are more magical beasts of higher ranks. Only a fulfillment realm expert can go beyond 1000 miles south in the south wilderness.
A vast part of the wilderness is not explored even up to now and no one knows what's deeper inside the wilderness. One can see mountains reaching into the sky from the edge of the wilderness. The martial cultivators who are near the wilderness go hunting for magical beasts. Similarly, there is a vast uninhabited area to the north of the ice Dragon empire called Dead Snow area with thick icebergs and tall mountains covered with snow in that area. The temperatures are below the -30C and it is also vastly unexplored.
The Azure Dragon empire is divided into three kingdoms Blackstone kingdom, Green Leaf kingdom, and Crimson sky kingdom. Misty sky city is the capital of the Black stone kingdom. The Red Dragon empire is divided into four kingdoms. There are two mountains ranges which separate the Red Dragon empire into four parts and each part is a kingdom. Ice Dragon empire is divided into two kingdoms. There is a total of nine kingdoms in the dragnor continent.
There are teleportation formations all over the continent to travel from place to place. the continent is so vast that it takes months to cross from one kingdom to other using horses. The teleportation formation is a type of array built by the Fulfillment realm experts, even though one has to travel through at least ten teleportation formations to reach from one kingdom to the neighboring kingdom.
There are so many sects in the continent for teaching martial arts cultivation. They all have certain requirements to take in disciples into their sects. The sects are divided based on the power wielded by them. There are only 9 first grade sects each sect belonging to one kingdom. The first-grade sect of Blackstone kingdom is known as Profound Seven Hill sect and of Crimson Sky kingdom is Burning Heaven sect and the first-grade sect of Green Leaf kingdom is Green Valley sect.
According to books, the martial way of cultivation is divided into six realms and each realm is again subdivided into 9 levels. They are Origin realm, Vein opening realm, Nascent soul realm, Spirit realm, Heaven realm, Fulfillment realm. One has to study the martial cultivation method to start their martial practice and in the manner given in the cultivation method should transfer qi gathered by them from the surrounding heaven and earth spiritual energy. They have to continue practicing their cultivation methods to increase their qi levels. There also martial techniques which are used to emit the qi gathered in their body outward in a certain form which helps them in combat. There are numerous martial techniques which can be practiced depending on their requirement. By constant perception and understanding of the cultivation method and martial skills and gathering the qi from surroundings, one can gradually break through their levels and improve their strength.
Before Ye Jian is not able to properly cultivate his martial arts due to his poor spiritual root and perception skills but present Ye Jian is from another world even if he is not topper of all the students in the previous world, he is at least considered intelligent and is the topper of his batch at his college. So, he can say that his perception is above average but cultivating martial does not only depend on perception but also on the quality of the spiritual root and profound vein present in his body. The role of the profound vein in cultivation becomes critical after breaking through to vein opening realm. A good quality spiritual root will be a main deciding factor in detecting martial talent, a person with a good spiritual root can absorb the spiritual energy faster and can refine it into his qi easily. The spiritual energy for cultivation can also be made available through spirit stones but they are costly and rare. They are formed by condensation of spiritual energy into stones and are found in the form of mines. all spirit stone mines are occupied by powerful sects. Spirit stones mines are very essential for the smooth running of the sect. so the family tries to send their descendants to top sects which will help in increasing their cultivation and status. The other way increase cultivation is to use the magical beast core which is cheap and some martial arts go for hunting magical beasts in the forests. The higher the level of the magical beast the higher is a concentration of spiritual energy in the core, but the spiritual energy in the core is mixed and impure so it takes time to refine the energy and to absorb it, so it is slow when compared to using spirit stones.
Ye Jian's present cultivation level is 2nd level of origin realm. while his peers are at the 2nd level of the vein opening realm. Genius martial talents of his generation are at the 7th level of the vein opening realm. By studying all history books Ye Jian understood a single point that power and strength are supreme in this world and whatever powerful people do is right. Only people with strength are respected in the society of this world and it is like wealth in his previous world.
Speaking about money here all transaction are done using copper, silver, gold, purple coins. One silver coin is equal to thousand copper coins, one gold coin is equal to 100 silver coins and one purple coin is equal to 10 gold coins. The purple coins are made from the purple essence obtained from the spirit mines and are very rarely seen in the daily life activities. For a large amount of there is also card system in which the amount is directly deducted from the card but the card is issued by Celestial Trade organization only to those with individuals with a minimum balance of 10,000 purple coins. The Celestial Trade organization is the most reputed and trusted organization with branches all over the Dragnor continent.
Cultivation methods and techniques available with the families are inferior when compared to the well-established sects. The core cultivation technique of the family is always taught to the talented individuals in the family and always kept secret. The top talents of a family always try to get into reputed martial sects so they can get better cultivation methods and techniques. Sects accept disciples below 18 years of age and who passed their minimum required criteria. There are three types of disciples in the sect, outer court disciples, inner court disciples, and direct disciples. Outer court disciples can become inner court disciples after passing an examination. The inner court disciples are given more resources to cultivate, the direct disciples are the disciples of elders and sect master of the sect.
Digesting all this information Ye Jian brain felt tired. He thought it will easy to learn martial artists with no exams involving physics and maths where we have to remember formulas and should have high accuracy and speed in solving twisted problems to get a high score better than others but after reading all this information he felt his world is much better, here all is based on strength and nobody gave any importance to how intelligent you are, if you don't have any strength.
In this world murdering someone is not a crime if you have enough strength to suppress all the opposition raised against you. Only strength is the paramount criteria. If he did not have his family backing him he thought he would also end up in that slave market. Ye Jian took a deep breath and motivated himself that he is going to concentrate towards improving strength so that nobody will oppress him with their strength. he is a very prideful person and do not want to depend on anybody and do not want to be humiliated by others. With another deep breath and determination, he gradually fell asleep.
Xiao Mi read the book for a while and after turning off the light she got on to the bed and saying to herself that she should not roll towards Ye Jian she fell asleep with her back towards Ye Jian.
In the middle of the night, Ye Jian again felt a warm body in his bosom. He sleepily opened his eyes and seeing it is Xiao Mi he wrapped his arms around her shoulder and gently pressed her against his bosom and feeling warm and tender body in his bosom and due to all the mental exhaustion due to reading books he slept happily with a subtle smile on his face.
Next morning Xiao Mi woke again sensing that she is in the bosom of Ye Jian and she was the one who is in the Ye Jian's part of the bed. she hurriedly moved away from Ye Jian and scolded herself, thinking about what is happening to her.
She doesn't have a habit of rolling on the bed and she always slept peacefully without any major movements during sleep. She thought hard and remembered that she was forced to eat a red colored pill when she was captured by the bandits in the forest.
She doesn't know the effects of the pill and after seeing that it did not show any effect after a long time she forgot about it. Now she thought about it only this can be the reason for her abnormal behavior and she decided to look for a book in the library which discussed pills and to see if any remedy is available for that pill. She then went for a bath and sat on the bed edge reading a book.
Ye Jian woke up a while later and seeing the back of the Xiao Mi he is mesmerized. he did not see any figure in his previous world which is so curvy and sexy. Her wavy jet-black hair flowed behind her up to her bottom, wafting a delicate aroma of honeysuckle into the bedroom as she was bending slightly forward and reading a book with rapt attention. The present scene was ingrained into his memory and kept looking foolishly at her back. After some time he regained his composure, he said "good morning" to Xiao Mi and went to the bathroom to brush up and bath.
After they both ate the breakfast, delivered to the room, Xiao Mi said calmly "Ye Jian I want to visit the library to exchange the books". Ye Jian replied " I am also thinking to exchange my books. let's go now". Xiao Mi followed Ye Jian and brought the books related to pills and poisons from the library. Ye Jian also some books relating to the basics of martial arts which guided him how to sense world spiritual energy and transform it into strands of qi. The way of circulating qi through the help of breathing and similar type of basic techniques used in martial cultivation by a beginner.
