This kinda reminds me of the lines from 'how to train a dragon' "thay killed hundreds of us" "but we've killed thousands of them"

tbh Morelia is kinda acting not like her anymore, she used to be a decisive "berserker" now where did all her spine go? She turned from Veteran soldier into a sheltered princess. Can't she just make up her mind already? Clearly it's not about who is right or wrong it's about what she think is right and if she must act upon it or not. If she keeps doing this she'll gonna loose everyone, the ants and legionnaires, everyone.

Morrelia's indecisive behaviour makes me want to rage out but then again she really is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Hopefully she chooses a way to bring both the parties to the table

Imo, her internal conflict is understandable tho... I mean it's not easy to go against the notion that you have been indoctrinated with...

I dont like them So if they are sapient they serve the dungeon what a hypocrite! Then what do you think you are doing sir Titus the Idiot

Kashiro
KashiroLv12Kashiro

The inernal conflict of Morrelia, and the steadfast assuredness of Titus and Myrrin in their opinions...is v true to life about war and hatred, unfortunately. But hey, at least we know from the flavour blurbs that Ant-society does get properly recognised, so I'm looking forward to that as i bite my nails waiting for everyone to get along.

I hope the Colony will not always be the underdog in every opponent they face, a weaker MC defeating a stronger opponent is good but it gets tiring if EVERY major fight the MC had is always him being the underdog. I hope the Colony achieves an overwhelming victory at the end of this war of attrition.

She needs to make a choice!

Morrelia's options are not as simple as 'go against her group and try to save the colony' or 'let the colony die and stay with her group'. Her options are 'throw her whole life's beliefs out the window for an ant she barely knows that has killed people just like her' or 'stick with her beliefs and fight the monsters who might kill them for their biomass any second'. The things taught to her since birth are that monsters are cold-blooded killers that eat anything it sees, and that has held true for her. The only exception, the weird ant monsters (Anthony), that seem to be different are killing humans on the battlefield she's a part of. It's different for us cause we know Anthony and the colony had no choice, it's kill or be killed for the monsters, but Morrelia can't see it from that perspective just yet.

For all of you who think Morrelia is annoying and spineless, look past the surface please? Her family and humans/Legion are fighting against the Colony because they are monsters born of the dungeon. As a member of the Legion and having such close ties with them, it begs the question of whether or not the ants’ extermination is morally right. Morrelia is torn between fighting against the new way she’s seen that has potential but also risk, or fighting against her family, friends and Legion who, should she choose to go against, will dispatch her just as quickly as the ants if she betrays them, and will probably never be forgiven. The Legion itself is incredibly formidable and entirely capable of eliminating the Colony if given enough of their numbers. Additionally there is the view of Abominations and the debate of whether they will always turn into threatening and ravaging beasts. Arguing that sitting by and not taking action in this situation while trying to figure out your own allegiance takes time and influence, which Rino is doing very well. These characters are not just their charicatures and Morrelia is not just some Beserker that does Beserker stuff because that’s her class.

some curious data, ants eat more than 60000 hot dogs thrown to the ground in the city of New York every year...

Im really enjoying ther super brave confident morriella is cowering in front of her father. Im looking forward to the chapter when she becomes her own and stands up for her own principles. Children often disagree with their parents viewpoint but only sometimes are they able to change their mind. The Ants might also kill Titus causing her to side with her father. I cant wait to read more.

To all the people saying the legion attacked first, I'd like you to remember that they were responding to a call from help from their ally to kill monsters that's been killing the surface races since the earth opened up thousands of years ago . So, after thousands of years of them killing and tricking them (Demons I'm looking at you) you expect them to be like - These monsters are different tear down our walls and drop our weapons! It's not like other species lie, kill, betray, and do every bad thing humans do (They do), and they're the most gentle type of monster, it's not like ants are known for killing everything in their path for their colony's growth (like they did everywhere up to now). Also, this war is Antony's fault . The legion is here cause the golgari called them, the only reason the golgari had an excuse to attack (the ones he escaped from was a hidden society) is because he went back for revenge and took hostages and loot when he could've just broke out Sarah and the worm, he was treated the way he was because he mocked a high blade like a five year old would even though he was warned not to, he was there to be caught in the first place because he shirked his responsibilities and ran away from his home . Now, I'm on the side of the colony, but I understand that actions have consequences . As readers we will always be on the colony's side because we've been told the story from their perspective, we understand their wants, needs, and hopes like any good anther would provide you. But the colony is more like the beginning of the Empire, and less like the rebellion . Ants are colonizers, it's why we call their home a colony! They spread and conquer, it's what the do, and they do it well . anyway, thanks for the chapter RinoZ.

Once the Antmancers join in perhaps this would tip the scales in the Colony's favor and win over Morrelia. I'm not sur e it will change th other Legion members though.
