NirvanaPenguin:well, a world ruled by women would be much better indeed, much more peaceful, men we are not made for peace, we crave for conflict and proving that we are the best through conflict, while women can better consider the feelings and emotions, only a world rules by women could archive true peace.
take long range weapons better, make some ballista and siege weaponry against fully armoured legionares what they can do as humans better than anything is the mental impact. example, before battle in front of the legionaries shout this. Beyn: "WE, THE PEOPLE OF LIRIA WILL DEFEND OUR HOME AND OUR SAVIOUR FROM THE DOGS OF THE LEGION THAT SEEK TO KILL US ALL, FOR THE COLONY!!!" "FOR THE COLONY!!!!" any legionare who hears this, even Titus and his second in command, and probably Morrelia, would froze on the spot and probably retreat their troops for the moment until they figured out WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON!?, and Morrelia would come clean with her father and he would be angry at her and then they might try to negotiate, i highly doubt the scholar would want to slaughter the remnant people from his city, and all legionaries from Liria would be unwilling, but... after killing so many ants, negotiations would be hard, but if they can negotiate with demons then i see no reason they couldn't negotiate with intelligent and sincere ants. then a wave would start or something to do with that root attacking the legionaries and forcing them to join hands with the colony while the Golgari, alone and unwilling to concede would fight in 2 fronts untill they were annihilated. and maybe the demi humans would show up to help, or at least Grey and White's tribe, and also to settle in the surface too without fearing the dungeon anymore.
I like how characters make mistakes in this book! People make mistakes, too many books have characters do exactly what they should. Which is normal cause the person choosing how they act already knows the outcome. This is well written in the fact the people make mistakes that make perfect sense, then show regret for those mistakes.
