Is it me or was that chapter rather short? Well anyway. By the sounds of it Claymore needs to hold out for two days, maybe less. That’s a lot of time. Luckily most of the fanatics are elsewhere. Personally, if I was Claymore 1. I’d split the team. The main focus is to delay the enemy. I would keep moving back along their trail. Along the way up there they should have spotted a few good defensive areas. I’d setup one team there. Team 1 will dig in and fortify until the scouts find the enemy within 100 meters. That when the team will open fire. Team 2 will continue on and take the Princess to next best defensive spot to dig in. Team 1 will disengage and leave early in the morning. To meet up with Team 2. Both teams will stay and rest and fight. During the night. Team 1 will move the Princess back to next defensive point. While Team 2 stays this time and slow the enemy. Keep doing this until reinforcements arrive. At least that’s what I would do

You know that the soldier can just carry her and her child? The first rejection was fine as she was able to move but the second one, the soldier just wait in the open instead of just carry her and her child. This is extremely stupid. No logical character would do this. If you want a fight scene then just simply state that the enemy caught up and the soldier need to camp and fight.
