Can You Feel It, Too?

It felt like the time slowed down after Noah heard it. His parents were killed by Satan's coven? His sworn enemies destroyed his life and even killed his parents?

Noah glared at the woman who was only staying quiet after. He couldn't bring another mouthful into his lips, but he didn't know how to exactly explode. Should he yell at his aunt, or should he go about it peacefully? Then again, his anger was distorting his thoughts.

He then held onto his forehead.

"Auntie… which… witch… killed them?"

Eleanor bit her lip. She couldn't answer. However, the more she felt Noah's glare on her head, the more fearful she had become. She only needed to give a name, right? It would only take one name…

"Daiquiri… codename Daiquiri…"

Noah lifted his glare off of Eleanor before leaning against his chair. It seemed that aside from Bomberman and his little gang, there was someone else's name that would be on Noah's list. Daiquiri? He wondered if SCC had details about this certain witch.

Eleanor then rubbed her arm. "Mon, do you know about them? Those witches? You should be extremely—"

"Auntie, I'm a witch, too." Noah gazed at Eleanor who suddenly lifted her face and threw her eyes at him. His hair showed the blue tips as much as his eyes glowed blue. His left hand then raised and got coated with blue flames. "I signed a contract with a demon prince."

Eleanor's mouth opened before she held onto it with both hands. Tears came out of the corners before she started sobbing in her seat. She then shook her head.

"I'm sorry, Mon… I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you. I promised Percy that I… I'm so sorry…"

"Why are you sorry?" Noah twitched, disabling the blue flames on his body. "What are you saying? Auntie?"

"Mon…" Eleanor only lifted her face… only to faint. She fell to the side, but Noah moved in to catch her before she would even fall off of her chair.

"What's going on?" Noah frowned as he stared at his unconscious auntie.

He could only take her home and stayed there until she regained consciousness. He used the home phone and dialed his phone number to chat with Rosanna for a while after asking her to tell Theresa about his situation.

"Are you going to take longer, Noah?" Rosanna continued to speak with him while she was petting Mediis in their room. The hellhounds had entered a material form to keep Rosanna company.

"I'm sorry. The case is getting more complicated. Don't worry, we'll be back as soon as possible." Noah hummed and sat on the floor just beneath the home phone. "Are Mediis and the others taking care of you?"

"Yep, they're good girls…" Rosanna chuckled as Mediis licked her face once. "They miss you, too, Noah."

"Hehe, tell them I'm going home soon." He then tapped on the floor. "Did Mephy come see you often?"

Rosanna then lifted her gaze… at Mephisto who was actually in the room with her by then. He only gestured at her, asking her to keep quiet. She then soundlessly did the same to Mediis before answering Noah, "He does, but he won't stay long. He said he's busy with work just like you, Noah.

"Daddy's people haven't come again, too. I wish they won't come again ever."

Noah chuckled. "Don't worry, they won't come again. Even if they do, I will already be there to save you, Rosanna."

"Yay!"

After a few more chatting, Noah finally ended the call. Rosanna was doing fine, and he didn't have to worry about her too much. He then dialed Luca's number, but he wasn't picking up. Noah ended up dialing Rebecca's phone lastly, hoping to report.

However, before he could finish dialing her number, he saw something trying to get inside the house through an open window in the lounge. It was a small girl with long hair, but Noah could tell that it was a lesser demon.

It got inside, and it consoled its head that met the floor earlier. When it got up, it noticed Noah was looking straight at it. Long Neck then shrieked and tried to look for a place to hide. As it ran, Caliga showed up and pinned it on the ground with a paw.

"Ah! Great One! Please release me! Please release me!"

"Master won't hurt you. Be decent." Caliga's voice only traveled directly to its head. He couldn't still be heard by Noah unless he forced his master to hear him.

"Ah, yes, yes." Long Neck sat on the floor and then walked up to Noah who didn't move from his spot. "Hello, young master of the royal hounds. I have no name to call myself, but I am the protector of this house."

Noah only reached out and pulled on Long Neck's hair, noticing that it only had one eye on its face. "Aren't you supposed to be a familiar? What are you doing here? Protector of the house? I doubt you can even keep a thief out."

Long Neck pouted. "Young Master, don't be like that. I can still tap into reality and imitate a ghost to scare him off!"

"I see. Then, can I leave Auntie in your capable hands? Caliga seems to trust you." Noah got up from his seat and placed the phone back in its place. "I have to go now."

"Y-Yes, Young Master…"

Noah only looked at the direction of the bedroom before turning away to leave. Caliga walked next to him, the young man petting the hound as he got down to put his shoes back on. He then walked out of the house and left for the motel they were staying at.

Long Neck only watched him go through the open window, and it closed the window afterward. It then walked to get to Eleanor's bedside and saw a thick envelope on the table. It came with a note so Long Neck went to test its intellect.

'Auntie, don't hesitate to call me at +1 XXX-XXX-XXXX. Also, I'm leaving 20 grand with you. Be happy and have that trembling hand fixed.'

"Trembling hand?" Long Neck slipped the note back in its place and went to see the unconscious Eleanor. It then used its hands to feel Eleanor's left hand. "Eleanor, can you feel it, too? Our magic is coming back. It's weird… it's not supposed to come back, right?

"Lord Satan is about to rise again. Does this mean everything they did will be undone?" A small smile curled its lips. "I can't wait for you to see me again…"

Noah arrived at the motel and found Rebecca. She was waiting for the replacement since Theresa had ordered for a new smartwatch to be given to him.

Then, Noah headed back to their room and saw no one. It was still early so he decided to lie down and sleep on the bed. He realized that the sheets were changed; perhaps Luca had asked for it to be changed with an added service fee. He lied on his side and closed his eyes, calming himself until he finally fell asleep.

Faces flashed in his dreams, but he couldn't put a name on most of them. He could only recognize who seemed to be Eleanor. As for the others, he had no idea. Two images continued to overlap… from one picture of a perfect family to a state of neglect.

One moment, a young Montana was drawing with a woman and a man next to him; the next, he was alone. One time, he was being cooed at by the woman; the next, he was crying for getting yelled at.

The woman and the man seemed to be two different people from every flash.

Soon, the smell of hamburger began to wake up Noah. His dreams were banished and forgotten as soon as he opened his eyes. Next to him sat Luca who was on his phone while eating a hamburger.

"Luca…" Noah called, and then Luca turned to him. An immediate blush was on the other's face before he decided to play it cool. "N-Noah, hey, you're awake."

"What are you doing?" Noah got up and tamed down his bed hair.

"I'm looking up our next target. He seemed to be one of the VPs of Connor Holdings." Luca finished his burger in a nervous hurry, trying not to choke even if he was secretly pounding at his chest.

He then grabbed the coke cup next to him and slurped some of it to relieve his throat. "They haven't located Thomas Connor, but they have found evidence that this Jonas Jones is involved in his deals with the witches of Beelzebub, Druid's coven in particular."

Noah then flicked his gaze at Luca. "I heard Mrs. Connor was taken? Did SCC want us to step in?"

"No, they can locate her using other agents. Our target is way dangerous." Luca brought down the cup. "We have to interrogate Mr. Jones and see how Druid's coven will fit in it. Also, we have to locate the coven's base. Their operations boomed for the last three weeks, and a hundred people were already dragged into it."

"Did they mention anything about Chroma's coven?" Noah didn't know what to expect. However, Luca answered with a head shake. "They didn't, but they shouldn't be involved in anything anymore. Chroma's coven is a dead coven now. I heard that most of their witches had been killed during the rising…"

Noah's eyes then glistened.
