When you feel like everything in life for you is meaningless and there is no reason for you to live on. When you lose all will and strength to continue living, the only beautiful fragment of the horrible past you've been running from comes in front of you. During a time when no one can be trusted and where everyone is bloodthirsty........a time of war and segregation, will you be able to get yourself to trust him and love him? Will you be able to forget the horrible past and give yourself and him another chance? Even if you get to know he is someone you should run from......someone who has changed so drastically into a person that even you are not able to identify.......someone who might be after your life.........................
Waking up in a shocked state was not unusual for XiaoAi. She reaches out to her best friend for comfort unable to process whether what she went through was a dream or reality.....was it really just her past haunting her in her dreams or if she had to go through all her pain once again. Holding MinLiang's hand was like a reassurance that everything was over for XiaoAi . Composing herself XiaoAi asks MinLiang what time it is and as reality hits XiaoAi, she jumps out of the bed in a chaotic manner and runs towards the command room after a quick shower.
Min Liang catches up to XiaoAi and asks in a tired state "Why are we running?...What's wrong?"
XiaoAi catches her breath as she answers her in a hurried tone "My squad is going to the Quantum zone today.....we received info about a missing classified data which was lost during the blast five years back".
Min Liang replies to her friend's statement in an excited voice " You mean the reborn system.....you're talking about the reborn system, right?"
XiaoAi hurriedly but gently keeps her hand on Min Liang's mouth to stop her from screaming and replies in a calm tone "It's classified".
Before XiaoAi knows it she reached the command room.
She opens the entrance to the command room after waving goodbye to Min Liang where an elderly man welcomes her in a mocking tone,
"You're early again as always XiaoAi",
XiaoAi smiles sheepishly and replies while touching the back of the head, " Sorry Sir, I had a nightmare".
"Oh just go on, everyone is waiting for you", replies the old man waving his hand towards you as gesture to dismiss while smiling at XiaoAi.
XiaoAi reachs the teleportation pod and within seconds she teleports to a location unknown to her of the Quantum zone.
'Where is everyone?', XiaoAi thinks to herself. The moment she reached the decided location XiaoAi felt something was weird but chose to ignore her gut feeling.
Walking towards a building, XiaoAi's body is thrown forward by a wave of explosion and all she can hear is the sound of a loud blast not far away from her position.
As her body hits the ground she can feel some kind of liquid dripping all over her while her body goes numb.
She stays lying on the ground for who knows how long when she hears the sound of footsteps which seem to be coming from a far away distance.
As her vision goes blurry, a pair of legs come in her sight of vision as everything goes black.
She can feel someone lifting her body up to which she tries to scream but is unable to.
She asks to herself in her mind, ' Is this the end for me?.....What is happening to me ?...Where is he taking me ?...I should've know my gut feeling is never wrong...I should've talked to Min Liang for the last time...I should've ...but before she could gather the strength required by her body, she felt her body fall into something like an endless dark pit.
