2 Creation

After the system initialises Angela notices two tabs have appeared in the top right side of her vision. Thinking back to the novels she read in her past life Angela remembers that this is quite a common trope; although usually these novels start in some sort of civilisation.

Angela tries nearly all the methods she remembers from the novels she had read but after trying every single one she is nearly in tears as none of them work. She has tried willing it open, asking it to open, meditating and... well you get the point. Dejectedly sitting on the bed, a sudden idea comes to Angela: couldn't she just point at it. As obvious as it sounds she can't recall a single novel in which the protagonist had to do this.

To her surprise, it actually works. "I suppose it must look pretty silly" Angela remarks to herself before turning her attention to the newly opened tab labeled 'general'. This tab shows Angela's stats as expected but rather than the usual qi, chi or energy the resource shown was called 'anima'.

[General:

Name: Angela Snow

Age: 17

Hp: 100

Attack: 0-1

Defence: 0

Stamina: 50

Cultivation method: N/A

Cultivation stage: mortal rank 1

Anima: 10/100 (+0.1/h)

Creation value: 1]

The last stat is also new to Angela but as she didn't see anything else that explains it she points at a little red X to close the window; turning her attention to the second one, labelled 'creation'. Once again pointing at it to open, a new window fills her view. This window has a few tabs down the side with plenty of room for more. The tabs currently accessible to view are 'earth', 'life' and 'structure' and Angela points at the earth tab, causing a couple new options to pop up.

[1m³ dirt: 1 anima

1m³ sand: 2 anima

1m³ clay: 3 anima

???: locked (reach 20m² to unlock)

???: locked (unlock conditions unknown)]

Angela points at dirt and the window disappears while a small window appears in the top right, it reads [please select a location] with a little red cross in the top right; presumably a cancel button. Grumbling a little at the pointing mechanic Angela goes to point at the middle of the room but stops, scolding herself; she was about to put a huge pile of dirt in the middle of her only room. After thinking about where else she can put it she has an idea. she then goes to the door, opens it up and points at the void next to her feet.

Suddenly, a dirt cube spontaneously appears, startling Angela. She didn't know what she expected but she definitely expected the appearance to be less sudden. Moments after the cube appeared (while Angela was still inspecting her new creation) a ding sounds out and a pop up appears, along with a new tab next to general and creation.

Angela reads the pop up and gets visibly excited at the final few words: [Achievement: my first creation, reward: +0.1 anima/h]. Putting aside the new tab for now Angela quickly opens up the general tab to double check her reward.

[Name: Angela Snow

...

Anima: 9.1/100 (+0.2/h)

Creation value: 1.1]

Along with the increase in anima rate Angela is surprised to see that the creation value has increased (presumably from placing the dirt), though she still doesn't know the purpose of it and so she pushes any questions she has about it to the back of her head.

Remembering the new tab Angela starts to close general before opening it up but is interrupted half way by a grumble coming from her own stomach. Angela blushes despite the absence of other people, however her expression of embarrassment quickly changes to one of worry as she remembers that she doesn't have any food. She flounders for a moment before deciding to open up the creation menu and switch to the life tab.

[Life:

grade one blood wheat: 3 anima

grade one soul fruit: 4 anima

grade one spirit rice: 5 anima

???: locked (cultivate 20 batches of blood wheat to unlock)

???: locked (unlock conditions unknown)]

Angela reads the options and frowns. With the rate at which she gains anima it would take 15 hours just to get the cheapest blood wheat; not to mention at the moment she has no way of processing it into something she recognises as food. It would seem that unless she finds some way of either gaining more anima or cultivating these crops she would have to live on as little as one fruit a day.

Choosing the soul fruit as it seems the most suitable Angela is surprised to see that, rather than the placement popup she got with the dirt, she instead has a window with a description of the fruit.

[Grade one soul fruit:

One of the most basic fruits grown in many Xianxia worlds. The soul fruit satiates both hunger and thirst with a beneficial effect to mortal rank cultivation speed. Despite its many benefits however, the taste of this fruit leaves much to be desired and has even been dubbed as 'mud ball' by many cultivators.

A soul fruit tree will yield one soul fruit per week at a consistent rate.

In order to grow a soul fruit tree the seed must be planted in a 20/80 sand dirt mixture with the pointed tip facing downwards. It must then be watered 3 times a day with 1L each time until the tree reaches the hight of 3m, at which point it will begin absorbing the heaven and earth qi to sustain itself.]
