Bonus mission 2.

They arrived at a stone corridor, 3 meters large and 3 meters high, going left and right. The corridor was completely dark, and a lot of dust covering the ground.

Since both sides looked the same they decide to follow the left one. Axe took the lead with Troy right behind, John in the back and the rest in the middle.

10 meters ahead, they arrived at a big double door on the right wall. However the door to the right was on the floor and the passage open.

Wolf sneaked a looked through the door. Since he could not see what was inside because of the darkness he decide to use his flashlight.

Inside he saw some couches, a broken table, chairs and a wine cabinet. It looked like a reception room. Beside this door that they arrived, there was 2 blocked paths. 1 in front at the other side and 1 in the right going the same direction they came

Going inside they found nothing besides the furniture. Without a choice they decided to follow the right path this time. Not far from the entrance they found a simple wood door to their left. but the path continue ahead.

Fox signaled Wolf to check the door and see what was behind.

Wolf approached cautiously and tried to open the door silently.

"Nheeeeeeee!"

The door was old and made some noise when he tried to open it.

Everyone looked around to see if they had awake something. Wolf also tried to hear any sound on the other side of the door.

Everything continued quiet, too quiet actually.

Since they found nothing wolf continued to open the door. This time without making a sound he opened it, and used his flashlight to look inside. There he saw many box and barrels, this place was probably a storage room, since it smelled like rotten food. So he decided to close the door for now.

Continuing the path, they arrived at a t junction, a path to the left and a blocked one going straight. Having a look around the corner, there was a door to the left and the path continued.

Just like last time, Wolf stealthy opened the door, but it was locked. Without another option they continued forward. Soon they arrived at a double door, broken. Behind the door, there was a path to the left and right, by the distance, this path to the left arrived at the entrance, so they followed the one to the right. This path lead to 2 doors, a big double iron door, and a double ornate wooden one.

The iron door was closed, and the wooden one lead to what appeared to be a medieval noble's room. There were many ruined furnitures and cloths. The floor was dyed red with blood, and inside they saw many corpses.

Fox signaled them to stay quiet, move back and get ready for combat. They first trough why move back, but it was then that Fox got down, and placed his "M249" tripod on the ground that they understood that he wanted to have a bigger range between them and the undead.

Axe and Troy stayed behind, but ready to get in front it things got too close for comfort. Kano was on his knees with his "Taurus" and John with his "SCAR-H". Wolf and iris were right behind them. The first one to act was Iris, it took her 3 seconds to cast her spell. "Fire Ball", as the name suggested was a fire based spell, that made a tennis ball size, that on impact exploded to form a 5 meters radios ball of fire.

"Boom"

Dust flew away from the room. The fire was to fast. it's enough to ignite any combustible material and to burn human skin, but it was not enough to ignite it.

The cloth around burned, but the corpses only had some burned skin, a human would be screaming because of it, but for a undead it was not enough. The clothes on there bodys also burned, and this is what really damaged them. With the constant burn the body started to catch on fire. since zombies didn't have water under their skin.

However since half of them had most of their clothes ruined, it fell before it could burn them. When they got up and started to approach the door, Fox, Kano and John started to fire. Fox took advantage of the tripod to"fire for effect". Kano on the other hand had limited ammo, so he fired more accurately, trying to hit their heads. John did the same with his rifle.

Some undead had chainmail armor, but against bullets, they had no chance. and since they had to pass through a corridor, they were easy targets for guns. [Trivia]

Even if the bullets didn't kill, they were enough to remove body parts, arms, legs. The more than a dozen zombies, fell easily.

Fox only stopped shooting, after his gun was out of bullets. The front barrel was a little red from the heat. He reloaded the gun, in case there were more targets. He made Axe get close and look if any zombie survived. Axe threw the dead zombies, and there parts to the side, to make space for them to pass, and to check the zombies under the rest.

After making sure that there were no "living" zombies. They approached the burned room. The room was almost completely burned. but in the right side, there was a table and chair, in a elevated area far from the rest that had no damage, in the chair a corpse sat. By the clothes he was wearing he was the owner of this place. and in front of him a book, that had survived the challenge of time.

Fox signaled John, who aimed his rifle and shoot the corpse in the head. Better safe than sorry. Fox approached and kicked the chair, making it fall with the corpse to the side. Since it demonstrated no reaction Fox looked around the chair. There was nothing else, besides the book. When he opened the book, it was in a unknown language for him. And it didn't look like it was from earth. He might not know how to read most of earth's languages, but he knew how they looked.

Since every time he looked for some knowledge the system gave it to him, he decided to look at it again after going back to the white room. After placing the book in his bag, a system message appears.

[Congratulations on finishing the second bonus mission, 1000 points,]

[For completing both the first and second bonus you have unlocked the extra bonus mission. If you accept it you will get a prize even if you fail. But if you succeed you will get another prize]

After the message, they heard the iron door unlock. They got ready for more even though it looked like the mission had ended. As always, Wolf was the one to open the door. When he opened the door he got choked. Everyone looked at him as if there was some huge danger inside. Until he completely opened the door and they looked inside.

All of then were choked by what they saw.

It was...

This 3 rolls were actually a criticals. and they ended up doing double full damage. The undead were completely obliterated, and I as a good GM who wanted to Kill his friends, was really sad that my undead literally did 0 damage. The demons in my left and right shoulders, were telling me: "Place more undead", "Make them come from behind", "Place a lich with strong magic".

But in the end I decided that they had won this time. But next time will come!

I never knew how hard it is to write from scratch. Even if you know the story, you have to think before writing, to make sure everything is correct. However I still need to work and study, and that makes it a lot harder to work on the book.

I won't stop writing since I always wanted to finish this story and tell its tales to the later generation.

I don't know how many chapters I will be able to write per week, but I will try to make at least 2.

Thanks for the support.
