Life Of Muta

The surrounding was dark. There was no sound, no light, nobody around except for myself. I couldn't understand what was happening. Scared, I curled up into a ball and closed my eyes tightly. Every time my heart pulsated, the sound of my thumping heart acts like a metronome to my body. It calmed and comforted me only to realize once again that I do not know where I am. That process repeated itself continuously, the only difference however, was the questions I asked myself. What am I? When did I get here? To make matters worse was, I don't even know who I was? Confusion filled my brain with questions that I could not answer. I didn't know what to do or what I even wanted to do. The vacuum-like atmosphere twirled me around endlessly as I stayed curled up in a ball.

The progression of time was something I was keenly aware of as I floated around this empty void. How long had I been here and what got me here in the first place? There was a cold lurking feeling that encircled me, a sense of hostility in the air, a sharp prickling tenor that struck a chord in my heart. I stretched out my hands to embrace that frosty feeling, for it was the only thing that existed with me right now.

As I wrapped around the aura with my utmost determination, another aura appeared behind me, this time it felt warm and cozy. I smiled instinctually, finding myself being unraveled by the cozy ambiance. I wanted to be closer to it. Desperately lunging towards the metaphysical object, I realized I wasn't ever able to get any closer to it. I stopped and stood still in the vacuum, staring at the blackness where I presumed my hands to be. What was I even chasing in the first place?

At that moment, there was a sensation at my fingertips. An unknown feeling flowed around my arm like water and lingered around the cheeks of my face. Slowly, the aura surrounded my upper body and neck. It was as if something was strangling and leeching the life force out of me. I began desperately clawing my neck, in hopes of preventing the non-tangible aura from ending my life. Time passed by and I started to lack the vitality to put up a fight anymore and decided to submit to my fate. At that moment, a distant sensation pulsed towards me and the grip of that evil force lessened. Unaware of the presence of a different aura, I relaxed my body, trusting that the new feeling was something I could trust.

I enjoyed the presence of this feeling. It was as if that something was keeping me company. That something was watching over me and taking care of me. Suddenly, I felt the dissipation of that vigilant aura and realized a much stronger spirit had encroached me. A hot aura of fury drove deep into my body. It awoke the deepest parts of my stomach and churned my insides. The mildly sadistic impulses pulsated throughout the rest of my body and finally left behind a lukewarm feeling of comfort. Once again, I laid still in the desolate void, happy that I had gotten to experience an array of feelings. The dark and soundless atmosphere was soon brought to its end.

Gradually my closed eyes perceived a new visual through the eyelids and naturally it opened. As the lids of my long closed eyes lifted upwards to welcome the new perception, the sight of a glowing light appeared before my eyes. I didn't know what to expect, only for a fact that I was moving towards it at a fast pace. At that moment in time, I knew that it was the end and the start of a new chapter in my life. The only difference however was I understood for a fact it was going to be far more enjoyable than this vacuous void.
