14 A Ripple from a Soul
In another part of the Western Great Barrier Station.
Fuan District, Zedong City.

A fancy hovercar surrounded by other hovercars stopped in front of a giant skyscraper in the middle of the city. A holographic sign hovered in front of it, reading Bell Clan Branch.
The doors opened as Chinese security guards secured the area, before the Chinese people in the fancy hovercar came out.
One of them was a young female adult with an indifferent expression, carrying a sheathed sword. The other was an old man with a straight posture but casual expression. The other one was also an old man as well who had a slight smile but slightly bent back.
If any of the other clans in the city saw them, they'd be terrified and probably run. The old man with a casual expression was the headmaster of the Bell Clan! The other old man was an elder of the Bell Clan as well! The young female teenager was the daughter of the headmaster of the Bell Clan.
That's not the only terrifying part! The Bell Clan's headmaster is also the CEO of the Calabi Industry Corporation! The main producer and inventor of Calabi Engines!
1.2 million years ago, the Bell Clan was only a minor clan situated in the Milky Way with no considerable influence. It wasn't until they produced a talented scientist that invented the Calabi Engine that they rose to fame, like a dragon ascending to the heavens!
Since then, they have massively grown, spreading to every galaxy beyond the Milky Way. Not only that, but the Calabi Industry Corporation grew as well, becoming the 5th largest business organization in the entire business realm!
It is due to their invention that the entirety of humanity benefited whether it was the economy or the science community. They even received praises and prized from the government!
The headmaster, Bell Zhang, has a rare lifespan of half a million years. He is rather known for doting upon his daughter, Bell Yuhan, and the fact that it's his second daughter since 400 thousand years ago.
After the complete death, physically and mentally of his daughter, he refused to have any more children until 18 years ago. A complete death is extremely rare, and was rumored to be caused by pirates.
Supposedly, the first daughter refused to have the MTC- Mind Transfer Chip, which allows one to transfer their mind into the quantum realm in the event of emergencies.
After so much time, he and his wife finally had a natural pregnancy and birth of Bell Yuhan. The Bell Clan is generally against artificial births so they usually go natural. The unique thing is that Bell Yuhan has not had any gene modifications, and her great beauty all natural!
Bell Zhen is a loyal elder of the Bell Clan, and a shareholder in Calabi Industry Corporation who had joined along with them. Although much more strict, he can be a nice person.
Zhang followed beside Yuhan with the Zhen followed farther back. Everytime Zhang glanced at Yuhan, he couldn't help but have a soft smile. But nowadays, there is a trace worry.
A few years ago, Yuhan suddenly had a change in her personality. She used to be an outgoing, extrovert girl who was generally happy. Then suddenly one day, she had a complete change in her personality. She suddenly gained an interest in swords, and somehow gained knowledge of sword fighting skills.
One should know that sword fighting skills are extremely rare nowadays, considering today's modern weapons. Only knives and daggers are still in use.
Yuhan also became calm, indifferent, and less interactive, focusing on those sword skills. Luckily she's still an extrovert and interacts with her friends, but it almost made him think that she had been possessed.
He could not figure out the reason, and had suggested counseling, which she has continuously refused. Zhang had no choice but to sigh and get used to it.
Walking on the energy sidewalk in the skies, they entered the skyscraper where a branch elder came out to greet them. The branch elder had a middle-aged appearance and maintained his handsome looks. He wore simple robes which is an uncommon sight.
"Headmaster Zhang, we have been expecting you." He said respectfully with a bow.
"Lead the way," said Zhang with a neutral expression. His voice was deep and ancient.
"This way headmaster." The branch elder brought them over to the teleport room and the four of them stepped on pad before vanishing.
They instantly appeared in a large area, that gave off the impression that they were on a planet full of life.
Aside from the surrounding forests, a massively tall Chinese pagoda was in the center, surrounded by smaller pagodas that looked ancient. Ancient Chinese houses were everywhere, giving off a simple life.
Blossom trees were everywhere, along with many other exotic plants. The cicadas were making noise. In no way did it look modern, and everything looked ancient tradition.
In reality, all of this was still within the Bell Clan's branch skyscraper; just some minor spatial manipulation to fit such a landmass inside. The forests weren't really endless.
The skies, the sun, and the day and night cycle are all simulated to be as realistic as possible. Only a kilometer around the temple is actual forests. Past that is a solid barrier that makes it look like there is more forest.
All of this would send even rich people broke, which is a testament to the vastness of the Bell Clan's wealth considering that this is only a minor branch. It's hard to imagine what their headquarters would look like.
"Please follow this humble elder," said the branch elder as they stepped off the teleport pad. Leaving the only modern building on the outskirts.
The walked a stone path through the forests, which had several beautiful small lakes nearby. There is even a few bridges over them, and one could hear the insects. Such a beautiful sigh would give anyone a relaxing and calm feeling of tranquility.
Bell Yuhan kept walking with an indifferent expression behind Bell Zhang when her expression changed slightly. She looked in a peculiar direction, as if she had detected something.
"Am I imaging things?" She thought, feeling a faint ripple from a powerful soul.
Unable to discern anything, due to being in altered space, she could only send a response back and continue on as usual. Fortunately, none of the elders saw this, and continued their peaceful walk.
