19 Hotel Pass

Xia Sha steals a glance at the ongoing party below the ballroom hotel from the balcony. Her gaze falls on Meng Ran, who clutched Ling Guang's arm tightly as if he is the treasure she cherishes the most. 

The air surrounds her slowly suffocating her as she glared at them coldly. Suddenly her lips curled into a wicked line. Her sigh darkened along with her thought.

'AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!'

Those dolphins-like a scream diverted her thought. Just when she tried to find the source of the voice, the whole room turns dark. She becomes alert, clenching her clutch, she grabs her pepper spray inside. Assassination often happens at this kind of party.

She was waiting for movement when a video play on the big screen instead. She hissed, this...

Senior Wang Kai has gotten excellent in feeding dog food.

The video play is little Xiao Ni chatting with Mrs.Wang about marrying Wang Kai. The chatters go on until one child comes wearing green hulk boxers.

A giggle escaped from her mouth when the images of Guan Xian wearing hulk underwear filled the screen.

"Don't you guys want to swim?" little Guan Xian asked with high pitched voice. Ah, he hasn't hit puberty yet. Xia Sha subconsciously smiles. Little Guan Xian is cute.

"HEY! CENSOR, CENSOR. MY CHASITY!" Someone yells from the audience, making everybody laughed. Those voices were familiar. That voice also yelled at her nights before.

Xia Sha didn't realize that she is laughing. Her first real laugh after breaking up with Ling Guang. She stopped laughing upon the realization, but a faint, gentle smile lingers still on her beautiful face.

There stand Wang Kai, Guan Xiao Ni, and two puppies on the stage. Xia Sha look at the harmonious picture, can't help but feel envious toward Xiao Ni.

She remembers she once said hurtful words to Xiao Ni.

"Are you a fool? Senior Wang Kai only saw you as a sister. Wake up! Guan Xiao Ni, don't be so naive."

Xiao Ni cried and pushed her to the pond. Now that she recalled that moment, she must thank Xiao Ni for being generous. She should've slapped her foul mouth. 

Ah, but she did. Looking at Xiao Ni finally be together with the man of her dream is the biggest slap she put on Xia Sha's face.

Xia Sha subconsciously smiles at their silly memories.

"Xiao Ni, Will you laugh at me when you know how naive I am now?" she entertains herself with lame jokes. 

Maybe this is her karma. Now she is bitterly betrayed by someone she loves, while Xiao Ni finally got what she always wanted. She saw Wang Kai and Xiao Ni dance together like a princess and her prince. Like a dream come true.

She once also dreams she can be like that with Ling Guang. But that ungrateful bastard throws a diamond for a pebble, What a shame.

She stayed on the balcony for a long time. Long enough to watched a stranger ruined Xiao Ni's engagement night. She followed Xiao Ni's body disappears behind the closed door before she spotted Meng Ran.

She smirks as she locks her gaze on her target tonight. Meng Ran still clutching to Ling Guang tightly. A fool man that make Xia Sha felt nauseous and disgusted. 

What is he wearing tonight? 

Observing from his outfit, he really tried to elevate his worth by dressing up like Wang Kai. Stupid move that only a newbie would make. She thought she has told him about this?

At every official Wang's family party, Wang Kai would wear a pin of The Wang family's crest. The proud little pin combined with his noble aura makes him look even more extraordinary. 

But Ling Guang, what is he meant by making his family crest? To be looked like a clown?

Xia Sha suddenly felt a lot better and thankful to parted way from that guy. Her mood is a lot better when she sees how silly Ling Guang is.

Did he aware that she has sold her shares to his biggest rival? 

Ah, it's her time to mess with them, she smirked. 

She tucks her hair behind her ear and checked her make up for the last time. After making sure she looks perfect, she is prepared to make her way downstairs. 

Her beautiful fair hand wrapped around the door handle. She was about to turn the handle when she felt someone has open the door before her. 

'Clack' 

A man wearing a navy blue suit with a red tie comes into her vision. He looks as stunned as she was. An intense eye stare is unavoidable between them. 

Xia Sha's eyes flare up for a moment before she regains her composure. Ah, don't worry, he is not a suspicious stranger or an assassin. In fact, Xia Sha knew this guy.

He is the person who shouted a moment ago.

"Oh! You are here." 

The guy said after recovering from his surprise. Ignoring Xia Sha, who is blocking his way, he slipped from a little gap the door make and enter the balcony leisurely.

Xia Sha raised her eyebrow. This man always successful in stealing her interest and focus. His face was as dark as pot bottom, and he pouted his lips slightly.

He looks depressed but handsome. Handsomely depressed? Xia Sha scold her brain for being so stupid.

What the hell is she thinking?

"Are you drunk?" Xia Sha asked carefully. 

Xia Sha assumes he must have drunk for entertaining so many curious guests with his expensive wine. 

Guan Xian shook his head before he pulls his tie. He didn't even spare a glance at her. He blatantly shows his bad mood. 

"Is Xiao Ni okay?" she asked again, with a softer voice than before. Judging from what happened a few moment ago, it must be Xiao Ni's trouble that bothering him. 

Guan Xian raised both of his eyebrows and narrowed his eyes. He stares at her for a few seconds before he mumbles. 

"I don't know. But Wang Kai is with her. She must be alright."

"Then why you look so..." Xia Sha tried to find an inoffensive word to describe his state. 

Guan Xian let a low chuckle and help her to complete her sentence. 

"I am indeed depressed."

He let a heavy sigh after that. 

"Sigh. When I see how calm and well Xiao Ni handles the situation, I'm feeling so... Old."

Nani?

Is he sulking because he feels old? Suffering a middle life crisis before even reach his middle life...

Xia Sha's lips twitched, but she decided to seat and accompany the pitiful man for a while.

"Xiao Ni is capable of a lot of things. She is also very independent." Xia Sha gives her thought about Xiao Ni.

It's a very rare event for her to praise Xiao Ni. Guan Xian glances at her even with a more depressed face. Fifty shades are darker than before.

Xia Sha bite her tongue. Did she say something wrong?

"That is exactly what makes me sad. She used to depend on me, even when she can do it herself. I know it's spoiling her bad, but isn't that what brother for?"

Guan Xian's grieving becomes even more absurd as he continued.

"Little sister is already has a fiancee. Who is my own best friend." He sighed. 

Well, she could understand he must felt betrayed. Wang Kai breaks the brother code after all. 

"They are getting married soon. I don't even have a girlfriend. You! You are luckier. At least you have fallen once!" Guan Xian said with a sullen face.

"Pitt, you mean it's better to get cheat and humiliated in front of everyone than never fall in love?" Xia Sha blurted out and show a mocking smile. Of course, it's meant to be directed at herself.

"I will always choose the latter if someone gives me that choice." She answered her own question. Fall in love blindly with Ling Guang is the stupidest thing she ever does.

"Oh, I forgot. Your boyfriend is a jerk." Guan Xian suddenly laughs then completely pull his tie. 

See? Even this man with a worse reputation agreed.

If he says those sentences a few months ago, she will fight him to take back his words with all her might.

No one can look down on Ling Guang, not even a soul can. She even breaks her relationship with several friends who kindly remind her. She devoted her life to Ling Guang. 

But today, she can't believe she nods her head to Guan Xian's remark herself. 

"That's right, he is a jerk," she said with her melodious voice.

Her proclamation got Guan Xian smirked. He looked at Xia Sha, who is glaring at her sharply as if she hasn't finished her sentence. 

"Like you."

"..." 

You had a beautiful voice if only I don't understand your language :)

"Hah, that is on your perspective. In my "victims" perspective I'm not a jerk. You see, I didn't bring them to my bed. I'm just flirty with words and give them so many resources in the end. Guess how many girls I ever kiss?" 

He looks passionate about explaining this matter to Xia Sha.

Xia Sha doesn't want to know but since he wants her to guess...

"30?" Xia Sha asked, making 3 sign with her hand. Guan Xian shook his head slowly, he leans over Xia Sha side.

Minimizing distances between them. He stares deep into her foxy eyes as his hand pushes her ring finger. Making a peace sign from her slender finger. 

Xia Sha almost forgot to breathe when their skin meets. She could feel her heart is beating uncontrollably as his masculine smells filled her nose. This feeling, how can he make her feel like this?

She tried to concentrate on their conversation. She looked at her hand and stupidly answers, "20?"

Guan Xian's smile froze and his face fell. How bad had the gossip deteriorated his reputation? 

"2! Only 2. I..." He was speechless as he leans back to the sofa. His brown eyes turn somber as he waves his hand nonchalantly. 

"Forget it, forget it." 

He is too lazy to change this girl's mind. Moreover, they might become the enemy next time they meet. Guan Corporations has his sight eyeing for Xia Company for quite some time now. 

However, Xia Sha felt guilty to leave Guan Xian alone. She kind of making his mood worsen after all.

"I knew you are not that bad. You and Xiao Ni probably the only ones left without facade in this society," She looks at the eye-blinding big chandelier in front of her.

Guan Xian saw her soft and pretty features, feeling somewhat better than before. Smiles appear on the top of his frustrated face.

"Alright, since you make my mood lifted a little. Let me give you a present." Guan Xian then takes something out of his pocket.

Xia Sha looks puzzled when the men give her a grey card with the hotel logo in the middle. 

"Hotel pass?" 

Her peach eyes show the reflection of the chandelier. Bright and Alive.

Guan Xian almost lost in her eyes if the people downstairs didn't play a song. He quickly gathers himself and explains.

"Multimedia room, you can enter with this card." He smirks and decided to leave the stunned Xia Sha to think for herself.
