1 Prologue

You were in the car with your mom, she was driving you to a gig. It was with a wedding that was taking place at a hotel. "Do you want me to go with you?" Your mom asked. "I mean it's someone you know, but if you want to then you can," You said. "No, I have to go to the store anyway," Your mom said pulling in front of the hotel. "Ok, come get me in an hour ok?" You said getting out of the car. "Ok, call me if you need anything," Your mom said. "You got it," You said. You walked into the hotel, it was better looking outside then it was on the inside.

Maybe you want this in the wrong place, you thought. You walked to the event room. No one was there. Maybe this is the wrong place, You thought. Then you heard voices, you couldn't make out what they were saying, but you had the erg to leave. You ran for the door but when you got to the door it was locked. What? No one's here who locked it? you asked yourself.

You looked around for something to break the window with, you see a small metal statue on a table. You grabbed it and started knocking it against the door. It cracked, just as you were going to break it open but then you felt something hit the back of your head, darkness overcame you and you passed out.

When you regained conciseness you were in what seems to be a hotel room. You were on a sofa. The back of your head was hurting. So it wasn't dreaming, You thought sitting up. "Hey you're awake," Somone said. You looked over to see a guy with a stethoscope around his neck. You started to panic thinking it was the person who hit you upside the head. "Don't worry I'm a friend," He said in a gentle tone. You calmed down but your guard was still up. "Where is this place?" You asked quietly.

"I don't know, I woke up here as you did," The man said. "This is a pretty nice room for a run-down building," You said looking around. "I thought the same thing, but that's not the case," The man said. You were about to ask another but he interrupted you. "My name's Thomas Landon, I'm a medical student, now that you're here it's time to get answers," Thomas said extending his hand out to you.

You took and stood up. The two of you walked down a hallway. Thomas opened a door to another room. There were fifteen other teenagers there. "Hey, your ok, the guy hit you pretty hard," A boy asked.

You nodded not really having anything to say. Then a girl walked up to you. "What's your name, what's your profession? What happened before you were knocked out?" She bombarded. You were trying to answer the questions but someone else interrupted her. "Calm down, the poor girl just woke up from head trauma, give her a moment to process what's going on," said a girl who held a tablet in her head. The girl in front of you groaned and walked away from you. "What's going on?" You asked quietly.

All of a sudden a lab top in the corner of the room turned on. "Now that everyone is here it's time for the game to begin," The masked man on the laptop said. "Who are you?" Thomas asked in a serious tone. "And why are you doing this to us?" A boy in a blue shirt and black pants asked.

"Because according to my sources you sixteen are the best at what you all do, from actor to photographing," said the masked man on the laptop. Thomas tightened his grip on you protectively. "This is a game, kinda like 100 doors, you find clues around the room and use them to get to the next floor," The man added.

"Simply enough just solve all 100 puzzles then we're out of here," said the boy with headphones around his head. "It's not that simple, as we get further up in the building the rooms will get bigger and it will be harder to find clues and more difficult to find how to get out," The girl who bombarded you with questions answered. "It's not going to be easy, so as long as we keep it together everything should be ok," The guy with the headphones said.

"I guess, there's no other way out so we don't really have any other choice," said a girl wearing a scarf. "But there is my dear, and that is to kill someone in the room with you," The man said. The room fell silent. "K-kill?" You stuttered. "Yes kill, the murderer has ten hours, if no one figures out they're murder they get set free, if they get found out they will go back to start," The man said.

"Go back to start?" a boy in sweatpants asked. "As in they start from the first floor while the rest of us goes on," The girl who bombarded you answered. "Wow, that's totally messed up," said the guy with the headphones said. "That's the game, if you wish not to play, then you will be the first to die a cruel death," the man said. At this point, you were shaking. Everything was going so fast, you still didn't get to process what was happening. "Calm down, you'll have a panic attack," Thomas said.

You could barely breathe. "Breathe in then out," Thomas said. You tried to breathe but it was barely working. "You scumbag, why are you doing this to us?" a boy near your age with a black belt around his waist. "Because as the youth you are the future, if you really are the future then you will figure your way's out of here," The man said. "Your first floor starts here, go to the elevator and head to the next floor, once you there find the room the clues are in when you complete it the elevator will unlock the next floor," The man explained, then the Tv turned off.

"The majority of us in here are not likely to get through these alone, so there the least likely to try something like that," The girls who bombarded yous explained. I'm so confused, I don't know these people yet I'm going to be spending the next months or year here. You look at the guy who was by your side this whole time.

Is he thinking about killing? you thought. A boy and a girl walked up to you. "Hey, are you alright?" A boy in a gi said. "Yeah, I'm fine," You say. "My name is Bokamoso Okoro," he said. "Oh, I know you, I watch your compilations," You say. "I did not know I was popular in America," Bokamoso said. "I'm Harper Sanders," the blonde girl with blue thick lines glasses said.

"Hi," you said. Seeing you getting aquatinted with others, Thomas stood up and went to discuss the situation with the other older teens. "Do either of you know what's going on?" You asked. "All I can say is that someone kidnapped us and is forcing us to play his game," Bokamoso explained. "And everyone here as some special skill of is famous for something," Harper said.

That still doesn't help, You thought. Then you realized something, you don't have your camera. "Where is my camera?" You asked. "We don't know, we saw the man go back for it," Harper said. "It must be relevant to one of the floors," Bokamoso said. "So we're you here for a tournament?" You asked. "No, I was told I was invited to a party in my honor," Bokamoso said. "That must have to know it wasn't," Harper said. "I am not bothered," Bokamoso said. You were interrupted by a guy with a leather jacket came up to you.

"We're about to go to the next level, come on," he said walking away. "Is that Jackson Brendon?" Harper asked. "Think so, I never seen him without his signature smile," Harper said. "Would you smile during a time like this?" Bokamoso asked. "No I guess not," Harper said. The three followed the others to the elevator. The elevator was big so all of you could fit in it. As the elevator went up your heart dropped into your stomach. The games have started.
