The world is over and everyone dead. The human population is down to 100. I'm in my lab hiding from them. They will all kill us in the end and the human race will perish. I don't even know what to do at this point. I wonder how did it get to this.

It was a normal day at work. I'm a scientist I work on strange thing we find on this vast land. When we discovered the thing that made the human race fall to its knees. Me and my lab partners were all in shock we knew someday this would happen but never knew when. Everyone else was to scared and left the job to spend time with their families. What I saw I couldn't let it go. I stayed at work lived at work. It was just to fascinating. I was thrilled with the thought that if I found the answer to the worlds destruction I'd be the best but this was just too much. My wife, daughter, mom and my own son begged me to stop with my research but I couldn't I was determined. I regret that all now. I wish I had spent time with my wife. I wish I able to drop my daughter at school and read her bed time stories. I wish I could have taught my son to be a man. I wish I could took care of my mom for the last time. Just once I wished I hadn't done what I did cause now I must pay the price for it. Now as it comes for me I will join them to the next world Goodbye.
