50 Off We Go!

The next day, Yukio was all prepared to head out and begin his journey. Thanks to the fuinjutsu he learned from Nagato, Yukio brought a lot of things with him in sealed scrolls that he carried inside his backpack. For now, they will act as his inventory.

Yukio left the hut and was greeted by Hex who crawled up and wrapped itself around Yukio and his backpack.

Yukio wasn't going to leave by himself. Hex was coming along with him.

In the past four years, Yukio figured out what kind of curse Hex was. The centipede was the manifestation of negativity towards the images of war and gluttony.

Of all the dungeon curses he had exorcised since his return, he only met one other gluttony curse and obtained its seed.

From what he could tell, the gluttony attribute is not the same thing as starvation. It is the negativity towards others who selfishly indulge in eating food despite not needing to.

But that wasn't the important part. Yukio found out that Hex was a natural at fighting and killing. Likely due to the war attribute. Yukio planned on having it participate in battles against both non-sorcerers and dungeon curses.

After Hex was situated, Yukio went and found his siblings. They were at the edge of the lake and were waiting for him to get ready.

"Are you ready, Yukio?" Konan inquired.

"Yeah, I am ready to head out."

Yahiko walked up and handed Yukio two scrolls, "Before you leave, it's better that you have these." Yukio opened both scrolls and saw that one was a map and the other was a summoning scroll.

Nagato explained the purpose of the summoning scroll, "Jiraiya sensei gave us several summoning scrolls. They summon messenger toads. We can use these as a way to deliver information."

Yukio wrapped the scrolls back up and placed them inside his backpack.

"Where do you plan on traveling to?" One of them asked.

"I'll head to Sunagakure, first. I want to learn more about chakra threads and their puppet technique. It'll help me with my control over my chains. I've heard that there was also a talented, young puppet technique user.

After Sunagakure, I'll make my way to Iwa. Following that, I will go to Konoha to see Jiraiya sensei. Then, I'll return to Amegakure for a short break before traveling to the other villages," Yukio explained.

"Make sure to tell Jiraiya sensei that we said hi. And don't forget about your chains. You haven't packed that up."

"Oh, right!" Yukio went off and found his chains and wrapped them around his right forearm. Although they were a bit heavy, they wouldn't get in his way.

He did a quick check-up and was ready to leave. He stood on the surface of the lake and bid farewell to his siblings.

"See you next time, Yahiko, Konan, Nagato." Yukio started walking away.

"Come back when you've grown taller!" Yahiko joked.

"Be safe," Konan waved goodbye.

"I'll watch over your friends!" Nagato reassured. He was referring to all the cursed spirits Yukio had left behind.

As Yukio walked farther and farther away, he whispered that nobody heard, "I'll be back. I want to see an ending where you stay alive, Yahiko."

=====

A day after he left, Yukio was walking through a forest at a leisurely pace. According to the map, he was correctly heading to Sunagakure.

Next to him was Hex who was scouring the forest floor for free food. It had gotten tired of just laying around and doing nothing so it decided to hunt while traveling.

Surprisingly, there was also another familiar rodent traveling with them.

Thief had decided to come along with Yukio and Hex. It was hiding inside Yukio's backpack.

Well, it tried to hide from Yukio, but he had noticed the curse's presence the moment he grabbed the bag.

The mouse cursed spirit had already stolen some 'valuables' already. It was mostly acorns that it had stolen from squirrels' winter food storages.

Yukio silently watched as Thief seemingly detect something and ran off into a tree. Moments later, it came back with its finger-tail wrapped around an egg. It climbed onto Yukio and opened his backpack, carefully placing the egg right next to the pile of items it had collected so far.

Thief then noticed Yukio blankly staring at it.

"..."

"Squeak?"

Thief offered an acorn.

Yukio ignored the present and silently closed the backpack with the mouse still inside it. Afterward, he called out to Hex and told it to grab hold of him. He planned on speeding up his pace.

'It would be better if I get there sooner than later. I haven't heard anything about the third kazekage disappearing...'

It's better if I get there sooner.'

After a couple of hours of flickering through the forest, Yukio came across a small clearing where a large group of people was camping at.

He was about to leave when he thought of something. He could use them as training dummies for Hex and Thief. He could even test out something that he had learned in the Jujutsu Kaisen World.

He took a better look at the camp and noticed most of the individuals were bloodied. Some had bandages while others didn't. Yukio could tell that they weren't sad or miserable, instead, they looked happy. The creepy kind of happiness.

'Meh. They're probably bad guys'

Yukio observed them for a few more moments and decided that it was time to take action, "Hex, go kill them. Thief, do whatever you want, just cause some trouble. I'll make sure none of them will leave."

If he wasn't with Hex and Thief, he probably would have ignored them and go his merry way, but he wanted to train them, especially Hex. As for Thief, Yukio wasn't expecting much from it.

Once the two cursed spirits got closer to the camp, he raised his open right hand and pointed towards the sky with his pinkie finger and ring finger closed in, mimicking a gun.

"Emerge from the darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure."
