4 Chapter 4

As Jack was walking, he abruptly stopped because he heard inside his mind, ('Hello Jack, I see you have been making some decisive moves.') Jack was surprised that the Goddess he met during his reincarnation was talking to him again. "So, what can I help you with my beautiful and kind Goddess?" Jack was curious what she had planned for him, hoping that she wasn't going to punish him for killing. He heard her giggling in his mind, ('No I am not going to punish you for killing. What kind of logic would it be to allow an unrivaled assassin to go to a world full of conflict, only to punish hum for killing, I may however, punish you if you start killing innocents. Anyways, I was thinking about how your IA works and decided that I should give you a companion.') After she spoke Jack heard a wolf howl, but it sounded metallic and demonic at the same time. "You are the best Goddess ever, no can say different. If anyone tries, let me know and I will put a blade through their heart and a bullet in their brain." The Goddess gives another amused laugh. Jack turned around as her heard a fast approaching 'animal'.

When it finally broke through Jack saw a metallic wolf with a sleek black frame with a long metal tail swaying back in forth with the blade on the end giving an effect like it is cutting the wind with its sharp edge. The most noticeable thing was the blood red eyes that had a sharp precision that makes anyone that looks at them have a shiver go down their spine. [Hello Jack, my name is Wolf. The Goddess asked me to assist you as your partner and companion.] As wolf slowly approached Jack, he could tell that Wolf was a dangerous entity in his own right, but he didn't seem aggressive by nature. "I said it once, I'll say it again, I have the best Goddess in the multiverse!" Jack exclaimed in excitement. Hearing the Goddess' bell-like laughter, ('That isn't my only gift. I am also giving you the berserker armor from Guts {(Berserk)} it will feed off of your Ghost Rider powers to help prevent them from going crazy when you are in the presence of corrupt/evil individuals. However, it isn't all good news, if you are in the presence of someone really corrupt it will slowly build up but if suppressed for too long the result will be an outburst where you must satisfy the suits bloodlust which can span from 1 person to 1 million people. The upside is that I put a necklace in your pocket, if you give this to someone it will prevent them from being targeted if you do go on a rampage, this will keep them safe in the event you are unable to retain your sanity during your outburst.') Jack was happy about the gift and was relieved when she mentioned the necklace. Curious about the item in question Jack pulled out the item in his pocket and was amazed by its beauty, it had a black cord with a pendant that was very unique. It had two dragons intertwined holding the separate sides of a crown with a sword going through the crown. The pendant was mostly black except the eyes of the snakes, one was amethyst, and the other snow blue. While he was infatuated with the necklace, he failed to notice the sword that fell from the sky, well it's almost impossible for one to call it a sword due to its sheer size. Right before it bisected Jack, Wolf jumped into the air and caught the behemoth sword. The sound of Wolf catching the sword pulled Jack back to reality in a fright with realization that without Wolf he would have been bisected by that sword. "Thanks Wolf, got distracted by this, my bad." Jack gave Wolf a thankful and sorry expression. [It's is fine Jack; my other job is to keep you safe as long as you have the will to live.] Jack gave him a smile and a nod before going to inspect the 'sword' that fell from the sky. It was 7 foot-long from tip to hilt with the handle only taking up 1.5 feet and 2.7 feet in width, it was pure black, and it looked more like a pointed slab of metal more than a sword. (Forgot to mention that Jack is 5'11") "Well I guess that it isn't called the 'Dragon Slayer' for nothing. Hey Wolf, I have to go kill a pesky Ogre, can you hold onto the Dragon Slayer for me for now. I am not used to fighting with a sword almost a little over a foot bigger than I am." Wolf nodded and put the sword on his back. [I'll see you after you complete your mission, also the Goddess told me that she put enchantments in your clothes. Apparently, they can become anything you wish and that have increased defense compared to most armor, it will also change according to your current preference while in your Rider form.] Jack was pleasantly surprised by Wolf's comment, he willed his clothes to change to his preferences. Now he was wearing a dark purple shirt with a leather jacket that had a hood, he was also wearing black combat pants with a purple chain trailing from one of his pockets and a black belt with a coiling snake design on the buckle, along with some steel-toed combat boots. He did a quick once over before pulling his hood over his head, it was long and made a shadow cover the majority of his face only allowing one to see his nose down. "Now then, let's go kill an Ogre."

Since he took his time getting there it was already dusk by the time, he made it to the capital. As he made his way to the red-light district he was watching out for his target and not before he saw him. Commander Ogre was a large man standing roughly 6-foot-tall with broad shoulders with a large scar over one of his eyes and large pointy teeth. "Found you my little ogre." As Jack slowly made his way through the crowd never taking his eyes off of his prey. After a few minutes he saw Ogre walk into an ally way to take a shortcut, quickly following Jack saw Ogre standing still with his back to Jack. "So, you are the little shit that has been stalking me huh." Ogre had clear annoyance and narcissism in his voice. "So, you want to tell me why you have wasted the time of the mighty Ogre!?" Ogre was getting annoyed turning around seeing that his stalker even had the 'gall' to hide his face. Jack looked up and in a cold and indifferent tone said, "You are a man that has committed many sins, you have harmed and belittled the innocent and for that you will pay." As Jack finished talking, he removed his hood and started his transformation into the Rider. While he was transforming Ogre for the first time in his life felt terror, "W..w.. what are you!?" Finishing his transformation Jack said, "I am your Judge and Executioner. For your crimes against the innocent you must pay." Jack used his chain to bind Ogre before he was able to run away. Just before he could scream Jack put a bony hand over his mouth, "Now for your crimes you have been Judged guilty. Now....feel their paaaiiin." With this Ogre eyes went wide as he felt his very soul being burned as he felt the pain of every evil thing has ever done to an innocent person. As this was going on his eye started to char over as if burned and one could see distinct cracks with purple and blue flame-like lights coming out. Satisfied with his work Jack turned back to normal as he dropped Ogre's corpse. With out looking back he said, "And like that, another corrupt b*stard dies."

After arriving back and sensing that everyone was asleep, he snuck in using the window attached to his room seeing only Wolf sleeping on the floor with Dragon Slayer leaning against the wall he gave them a acknowledging nod before willing his clothes to be a loose-fitting t-shirt and shorts before climbing into bed planning how to explain Wolf's presence to the rest of Night Raid tomorrow. 'I'll figure it out tomorrow.' He gave Wolf one last look before welcoming the land of dreams.
