2 Chapter 2:

'Now then, I guess the goddess dropped me off on the same road that Tatsumi took in the show. Guess I should start moving so that I can get used to this body seeing as she made me a teenager again.' After doing his necessary preparations he started running down the road towards the capital. After a while he saw a giant armored lizard attacking a carriage. "Oh my god, its an earth dragon!" Jack saw the men in the wagon panicking. "Sigh* guess I should save them. Man, what a pain." As he said the Jack sprinted towards the earth dragon and before the dragon could register that there was an enemy its head was sliced off. "You two okay?" then men were able to snap out of their shock at his question. "Y, Y, Yes. Thank you, very much young man. Is there any way we can repay you?" They seemed both grateful and terrified of Jack. "It's fine, but I would appreciate some directions to the capital." Jack gave them a carefree look like him cleaving the head off a dragon was normal. "Of course. If you follow this road for another day you will be at the capital. Do you need a ride?" The man was glad that Jack didn't ask for anything outrageous. "Thanks for the directions and I'll have to decline your offer for the ride." Saying this Jack turned around and sped off at a speed that broke the sound barrier, he planned to reach the capital today as he didn't want to waste any time.

It only took Jack an hour to reach the capital, the show and manga didn't give it justice. It was massive! It felt like the city was a mountain. As he approached the gate, he was forced to pay a fee to enter, he didn't mind as he had plenty of gold, two thousand, four hundred, and sixty-seven to be exact. After making his way through the city he found a tavern and payed for one night as he was ahead of schedule.

The next morning, he walked around the city until he saw a bust young woman with bright blonde hair wearing a black tank-top and some casual pants. "Hello mamm, do you happen to know a way for me to enter the military without registering?" The woman was surprised by my sudden comment, but she quickly recovered and gave Jack a seductive smile, "Oh, little boy wants to be a soldier, does he? I know a way, but it will cost everything in that bag you have." She gave me a kind smile, but deceit could be seen in her eyes. Jack played along and handed her the money and told her to meet him in the tavern this afternoon. She gave another big smile before disappearing into the crowd. Jack gave a sigh and shook his head at knowing that if he didn't know the girl, he almost would have fallen for her trap. Seeing that he had nothing so to do he walked around the city, not before long it was dark and knowing that the duke's daughter would be passing by, he layed against the edge of a bridge and waited.

After an hour Jack heard the wheels of a carriage and the voice of a young girl. He felt a presence come close, so he looked up, "Don't you have anywhere to sleep? It's quite cold out tonight." Pretending to be freezing Jack shivered while shaking his head no. "That's a shame. I know! Why don't you stay at my family's manor for the night?" Still pretending Jack widened his eyes feigning awe. Not long after Jack was in the girl's carriage heading to her family's manor and his meeting point with Night Raid.

When they arrived, the girl introduced her self as Rosalia Crause, her parents here Charles and Eizebith Crause. Rose's parents appeared to be kind nobles that just supported their daughter's antics. Not long after Jack claimed that he was tired and asked where he would be sleeping. The nearby maid showed him a small room with a window overlooking the back courtyard. 'Guess I should get some sleep as I wait for them to show up.' An hour after Jack dosed off, he woke back up sensing the deep killing intent directed at the manor. 'show time.' Jack sat up and grabbed his jacket and peaked out the window to see Rose running towards the small forest behind the manor. He grabbed his sword and jumped down from the second story and dashed after Rose. Not long after he saw Rose fiddling with the lock on a shed. "Come on! Come on!" she was struggling with the lock that seems to be sealed. "Rose, what is going on?" she turns around and a smile comes to her face. The guard spoke up saying, "It's Night Raid, they are after the young miss and her parents." The guard was obviously depressed knowing he won't be able to save Rose. "I get the gist of it, you should meet up with the men I passed on my way here, they may need a hand. I can take care of Rose." He gave me a grateful nod before dashing off towards the manor where his imminent death awaited him.

Shortly after while waiting for Rose to unlock the shed he heard behind him, "You will not be able to unlock your toybox. We have sealed it shut and changed the locks. As for you, *points at Jack* you are not a target, thus I will not kill you if you move out of the way now." She had her stoic and cold expression that she always showed her enemies. "You must be Akame from Nigh Raid, I have to admit you are much more intimidating than the posters suggest. Well, I was planning on killing Rose after you got here anyway, can you do me a favor and get Lione." My comment shocked both the girls. Akame was shocked that he knew of Lione and herself. Rose was mortified that Jack was planning to kill her, 'I have so much more art to create, I don't want to die!' Rose started crying and her eyes showed fear and hatred for his betrayal. "Now don't give me that look, I was only playing along because I knew you were Night Raid's next target. Also, you had the nerve to include my family in your sick toucher house." Before Rose could refute there was a red line on her neck as I sheathed my sword, next her head toppled onto the ground still showing her shocked expression. Akame was wide-eyed at the speed and precision of my strike. *Whistle* I turn around to see Lione giving a whistle indicating she was impressed with my skills. "Now then, Lione could you open up this door for us, I have some people that I need to get out of there." I give her a calm look. "I'll wait till later to ask how you know my name, but for now I will open it up for you as a sign of thanks for finishing our contract and the money from earlier." She then shifted to her beast form, in this mode she grew a tail and pair of cat ears that match her hair, she also grew fur and claws on her hands, but the most noticeable thing was her feline eyes that show determination and ferocity. She calmly walked up to the door before punching it down. 'I knew what was behind these doors, but I still can't look at this without feeling some sick rage for those that did this. I wish I had used the Pennant Stare on that brat instead of just decapitating her. Well, guess I should get a ride back with them, it'll be a pain to find them afterwards.' As Jack finished thinking Lione and Akame returned their attention to him. "Well then, I guess I'll come back for their bodies. Shall we go?" Jack asked. "I guess you do have some skills, by the way I don't think I ever caught your name." Lione gave me the same look a cat gives when it is curious about its prey. "My name is Jack. I came to the capital to join the army, but after seeing how corrupt this d*mn city is, I figured its better to join the revolutionaries." Jack had venom in his voice when he recalls some of the things the military did in the show. Lione gave him a satisfied nod while Akame is still suspicious. "Well, lets go." Lione says as she turns around and starts walking towards the manor of the dead nobles.

Jack just gave a shrug and followed. When they got back, they made their way to the roof and Jack sees four people standing on wires. One is in a white battle suit holding a spear, another is a young girl with pink hair holding a rifle dressed in a frilly pink dress, another has purple hair and glasses and she is holding a massive pair of scissors wearing a purple dress that highlights maturity, and the last has green hair wearing a green trench coat with some goggles on his head. "Well I guess this is night raid, short of your boss of course." Jack gave a wry smile before jumping on a wire. "Let's go then."

After they reached the Night Raid hideout Jack sees a woman sitting on a throne. She has an eyepatch on one eye and her other is pale purple. She is wearing a green army jacket with a black shirt underneath, but the thing that catches Jack's attention most is her metal arm. "Hi, I guess you must be the boss of Night Raid, Najenda wasn't it. Former general of the kingdom under commander Esdeath. Nice to meet you, my name is Jack Blood, however my professional name is Ghost." Everyone is surprised that Jack knew so much about the boss, he even knew her history and real name. Najenda narrows her eye at Jack's introduction. "You must be the new assassin Lione recommended. I am impressed that you know so much about me, but from your demeanor I take it you know about all of us." Jack doesn't say anything, he just smiles and gives her a shrug, "I like to know who I plan to work with." Najenda just gives a defeated sigh, "Well then, let me welcome you to Night Raid Jack. I take it that sword on your back is your Imperial Arm?" He gives her another smile, "Bingo, his name is Rinryuu or bladed dragon. He works similar to Bulat's Incursio, except I am the only one that can wield it." They all were shocked at his comment. Not only did he know Bulat and his IA, but he also has an IA that supposedly can only be wielded by him. "Do you mind giving a demonstration for us." Jack only shrugs before unsheathing his blade. As he did electricity sparkles off of the scarlet red blade, "Shred, Rinryuu!" after saying the trigger Jack's body started to give off a dangerous bloodlust. His body started to get coated in a dark black metal, it covered his legs and feet, they were changed to look like his foot and heel were separated. His hands were covered in metal and he grew claws on the tips of his fingers. His neck, chin, and the outline of his face were coated as well. His hair turned white and his eyes turned crimson like the blade in his hands. If anyone had to describe him it would be as a metal asura that had been slaughtering for millennia. "I have to admit, this feels pretty good. Haven't used this since before my training." Jack soon noticed that the pressure he was giving off almost made them collapse, he quickly apologized as he retracted his aura. "I have to admit, I was not expecting this. How powerful is that IA?" Najenda asked. Jack put a finger on his metal chin thinking, "If I have to give it a measure then, I could beat Lione and Bulat in a fist fight and I can probably tank pretty much anything Pumpkin could throw at me." Jack said this like it was nothing but everyone else sucked in a cold breath. Jack then disabled his AI and sheathed it. As it was late, they all agreed to go to bed and they would continue their introductions in the morning. Jack ended up sleeping in Bulat's room. Jack knew Bulat was gay, but he also knew that other than when fighting and training he was a big teddy bear that cared deeply about his friends. Jack used his sleeping roll from traveling and some rope to make a hammock overlooking the hideout. 'Guess things will kick off in the morning.' This was Jack's last thought before we drifted off to sleep.
