3 Magic and Contracts part 1.

I've been walking for some time and was trying to analyze my immediate environment looking for territorial markings and such and fortunately, they were few and I was able to spot and avoid them rather quickly.

Moving forward I found a tree with really large leaves and carefully climbed up and took several leaves and also some vines around the tree, before rolling them up and tying them in a way that I could strap it on my back and not long after I secured water.

After had secured some water and the leaves and vines, I had used some of the leaves to form a temporary bag that could carry water but I was still struggling to find some food and as I had no means or rather, didn't know how to make a fire I had chosen not to catch a fish as I would not be able to cook it.

With that being said, before I began my journey back to the cave, I confirmed that my memory does work to perfectly organize and recollect any, and everything I have seen. Right before heading down from the tree, I was using to get an overlook of what was around me, I felt someone or rather something lingering behind me causing me to instantly hop and do a frontflip in hopes of gaining some distance, I finally got a good look and it looked like two, 8-inch long humanoid creature that was floating.

One of these creatures had a very timid and slender look with wings behind her back and blue hair with somewhat pointy ears. Though from what I could analyze by looking at this one I understood she; as they both looked feminine, did not need her wings to stay afloat. The other had a fierce look donned with a white kimono with red and black ornaments and outlines, in its hand was also a miniature golden spear with what seemed to be a golden circular object with marking on it.

"Who are you? why are you following me? what do you want?" Silver asked in a very calm tone as he was wondering why they were behind him.

"I am Silvia and this is Celica, my sister, we did not mean to sneak up on you, we only did as we noticed you were looking for some food." Said the timid looking one after which she made several different types of fruit appear out of nowhere.

"How did you do that," I said while pointing to the pile of fruits in front of me although I was pretty hungry myself, I needed to understand the situation better.

"Huh?? If you are talking about the food it was magic.." Silvia said in a matter of fact tone, questioning if he was actually asking because he did not know or if it was something else.

"What's magic?" Silver asked as he had no clue as to what it was.

"Really, so you mean to tell me you do not know what magic is?"this time though it was Celica who asked to which she got silver shaking his head in disagreement as he had no clue.

"Sigh... I will explain but it is getting dark we should quickly take some shelter before night falls!" Celica urged to which Silver agreed, but not before picking up the fruits and bagging them before leading the way to his cave.

On the way back to the cave he found out that they are a race called fairies and only showed themselves as they felt like he was the right person to make a contract with. He also found out that they were kicked out because they were different from the rest as they stood out in certain aspects he would later find out.

Getting to his cave before nightfall he settled in and used the moonlight from holes and cracks in the wall to see inside the cave, but not too long after Celica suddenly made a ball of light appear out of thin air. Silver momentarily put the food and water away and sat down, following which he said "Celica you can start explaining".

"Magic is the manipulation of a substance called Aether. This substance we call Aether is something we consider rather mysterious as no one knows how it was formed, who created it and when it was created but, even without knowing its origins living creatures adapted and learned how to use it several hundred thousand years ago."

"While Aether was still in the time it was originally birthed, people slowly started to experiment with it and discovered magic this brought about the start of magic users and people began to slowly adjust to using it to battle the monsters. Soon enough they realized the inefficiency of this technique of battling and training without rest and as fate would have it, someone that had been meditating finally broke through and formed his mage core and was able to use elemental magic."

"This was when the creatures evolved and it became a race of people against the ciphers, some that were even millions of times larger than they were. The first person that had awoken also noticed that he had a beast upon his awakening precisely a wolf with the fur of blue flames, following whichever another person that awakened was awoken with a beast and an element."

"Every element in their base form was equal but when it came to variants like the man possessing the wolf with white flames his element was dominant against normal flames and normal element as its intensity and temperature was miles higher than the normal flames"

"As time went on, people began awakening their children at birth from a stone called the awakening stone it was rather cheap and it would tell you your elemental attribute, mana purity as well as your show you your beast"

"The color of your mana upon birth usually determines your potential in life and regarding the levels of purity, there were 6, namely black, green, orange, blue, purple, Red and finally White. The higher you are on the purity scale the more valued and privileged you are. That too including the mage cultivation which is simply the art of expanding and condensing the mana in your mage core."

"As for what Silvia and myself are we are what you would call fairies though we are unique because we are Null fairies meaning we can utilize any element and the magic my sister has previously used upon our meeting are space magic and light magic in its base form. As for why we followed you there was another reason" Celica finished leaving Silver in a puzzled tone.
