EPISODE 20

~LEONA~

"Raymond." I whispered.

My knees wobbled as I took some steps towards him. He wiped off his hoodie as he also walked to me.

When I saw him, I thought my feet wasn't doing enough so I took to my heels. When we were close, we stared at each other's face for a moment as our eyes met and communicated words we couldn't say with our lips before enclosing our body in a bone crushing hug.

"Ray." I mentioned as tears spilled from my eyes.

"Leo." He whispered back, pulled us apart and stared at me.

"Is it really you." He muttered and hugged me again.

"I thought I lost you and I'll never see you again Leo."

"Me too, I miss you Raymond."

I pulled back and looked up at him, giving him the look that we got a lot to talk about.

He nodded and placed his hand on my shoulders as we walked from the streets.

"He's cute." Ray said and lifted baby Leo from the cradle.

"Yeah, he's pretty."

"What name did you give him?"

"Leo." I stated.

His forehead creases as he giggled at me. "Really?"

"Yes Ray, he's not my son but my little bro. The only difference is that I gave birth to him."

"Hmm.. sounds interesting but am sad."

"Sad? Why?"

"Am sad that someone is the taking over your entire heart. He'll take all the love from me. I think am jealous as well."

I walked to him and engaged them in a group hug.

"Both of you are special and the most important thing in my life. I can't love either of you less." I said and pecked him.

"Aww, my Leona" He said and pulled my cheeks.

I giggled and he quickly clamped his hand on my lips.

My eyes popped out questioningly at him.

"Shush...you might wake him up." He removed his hands and pointed to baby Leo who was busy sleeping in his arms.

I smiled when he began to rock him.

"You're not doing better, try harder. Being an uncle is not a child's play." I teased.

" Yeah yeah, I know. That's why am here now. I can't wait to resume the duty you denied me when you left. Now that I've seen you both, I won't let you out of my sight. Both of you are my responsibility now."

"Whoa! whoa! whoa! Easy" I exclaimed.

"Another noise and you won't follow us home. Right Leo.. wait. Don't tell me his name is..." He paused and expected me to say the correct thing but I refused.

"Leo?" He called.

I pulled my tongue out at him.

"Hey come on, what's my nephew's name?"

"Uh uh." I shook my head. He was the one who said I was disturbing.

He eyed me then picked up Leonard's luggage and began to walk out.

We have already cleared Leonard and the school authorities permitted that we could take him home.

Raymond helped me in packing his clothes. It was actually his idea to take Leo from here. He packed the bag in the booth of a car which I was yet to know if he owns it.

"It's Leonard David Grande." I corrected at last when he was about to get into the car.

I knew he wouldn't leave me here though.

"Wow, it's a wonderful name. LDG... Nice abreviation...I love it" He grinned " hop in, let's go."

I walked to the other side of the car, opened the door and sat beside him while he gave me baby Leo.

Raymond and I still hasn't talked about what happened when I left or why I left. We haven't talked about it at all but I know it'll happen soon and I can't help the nervousness.

"Where are we going Raymond?"

"You will, sooner." He said and focused on the road.

I nodded.

When we got to Dave's street, I decided to go bid Mary a goodbye because I don't think I'll see her again.

"Em.. pullover Raymond. I need to get something."

"Huh? Do that tomorrow. It's late." He said.

"Please."

"Is it so important?"

"Yeah."

He pulled over just a few blocks from the mansion.

I got down after placing Leonard at the backseat.

I walked fast to the gate but surprisingly, I didn't see Mary at the door like she always does.

I decided to climb the fence, after climbing to the top, I landed in Dave's balcony.

I tiptoed pass his window while my eyes were glued in the room. I returned back to the window and for some reason, I wanted to check whether he left a note for me.

I climbed through the window and into the room which was dark. I walked to his bed and saw him sleeping so peacefully or so I thought.

It's strange that we've been spending the night under the same roof for a week and we still haven't seen each other's face yet.

"I'd love to see your face but I guess that won't be possible. Not now, not tomorrow and not in the future because today is the last time I'll spend being here." I whispered softly and began to walk but a strong hand held me back.

I stood transfixed.

"It's not late, we can still show our faces to each other now. I'd love to see my secret Architect and my roomie as well as the one who have been eating from my fridge."

That voice, I think I heard it somewhere. I turned to look at him but the light suddenly went on.

Shit!

I turned back like a robot and forced my hand out of his grip.

"Such a strong lady you are, wow!"

I heard him got up but before he could get to me, I ran to his window but he was fast.

He got hold of me so tightly, I'm sure I'll be bruised.

"Enough of this stupid child play! Let me see your face else..."

"Else what?" I challenged with my back still facing him.

"Got some guts, don't you?"

I made sure my fake hair covered half of my face as yi prepared for my next move.

Hmmmmmmm, what do you think is coming up next? Keep your focus on the story.
