25 Exam 1

???: "Wow, Karuizawa-san. Hirata-kun is really amazing, isn't he? He takes on everything that comes his way, even if he dislikes it."

Karuizawa: "Oh yeah. The other guys are pathetic, so it's good to just leave everything to Hirata-kun, right?"

Hirata, still carrying the tent, walked ahead of Karuizawa's group, who looked at him with admiration.

There were also other boys like Ayanokouji carrying a foldable toilet cardboard. Aomine on the other hand was carrying a dozen of boxes of vinyl sheets.

Miyake: "What are you gonna do with them Daiki?"

Miyake was also by his side. Though he's only carrying 4 boxes of vinyl sheets them.

Aomine: "You know, I'm thinking of using them to cushion the floor of our tents. Sleeping on a hard rock soil would be a pain you know?"

Miyake: "I've never thought of that..."

Miyake nodded.

Miyake: "I guess that's a great idea. But can't we just ask it from Chabashira-sensei after we secured a spot than carrying these?"

Aomine: "–!!!"

Aomine grunted, as if he never thought of that. He was so excited by the thought that he could get something for free.

But he found an excuse on the spot.

Aomine: "It's just for show. For the time being I want to give the impression that we're helping. So we could be off from extra work later, you get me Akito?"

Miyake: "...I guess."

The two of them chatted along the way. Ike and the others were trying to find a spot to secure for the class.

Sakura came and talked with Miyake. Reading the room, Aomine left them on their own. He was interested how the development between the two.

Left alone Aomine saw Horikita.

Horikita, who was isolated from the other girls, calmly followed the group from the back. She would occasionally act as though she were going to stop, but then immediately started walking again.

Aomine slowed down a little bit until he was walking side by side with her. Seeing her face, he could tell she was not in a good mood.

Aomine: "Yo... Not in a good mood, Suzune-chan?"

Horikita: "To be honest, I'm depressed. These kinds of things just aren't for me. Life on an island seems primitive, and worst of all, I can't be alone."

Enthusiastically joining in a group effort was far beyond Horikita's capabilities. By this special exam, cooperation is definitely the key factor to win this.

Horikita: "You know, what you both said to me before might end up being true."

Horikita looked with a slight amusement.

Horikita: "This test will likely fall outside of my academic abilities. I'd determined that Ike-kun and Yamauchi-kun would be hindrances, but they took the initiative to go out searching. I wasn't able to do anything, because I kept debating what action to take. If they'd started moving quicker, they probably would've been able to find something useful."

Aomine: "Could be. You know how the saying goes. 'The right people for the right job'. For now you were rendered useless, but the opportunity for you to get useful will come. You can rely more on other people at times like this."

They walked for a while in silence. They're tailing behind the group.

Horikita: "I wonder what the other classes will do. I've been curious about their movements. If Classes A and B intend to obtain as many points as possible, then we'll need to prepare as well. We can't let the difference between us widen."

Horikita wore a serious expression on her face. In that respect, she had extraordinary resolve. Currently, they were separated from the other classes by a wide margin based solely on our academic abilities. For Horikita, who aimed to reach Class A, this was a fight she absolutely could not afford to lose.

Aomine: "You sure have it tough, Suzune-chan. Well I'm gonna cheer you on the side."

Horikita: "What. Are you not interested on climbing up the ranks to Class A too, Aomine-kun?"

Aomine: "Sounds like a pain in the ass. If there is any competition, I will never lose."

Horikita: "Do you mean you have a sure-fire way to graduate in Class A before Graduation?"

Aomine: "...Who knows?"

Horikita side-eyed him suspiciously.

Actually Horikita was right in the bull's-eye.

Winning national tournaments will give massive points to the athletes.

There was also an exchange system that his Class won't get any Class Points, but he will get more Private Points that way.

If he wins all the 6 tournaments in 3 years of highschool, he calculated that he will only need a few million points before he could get 20 million points for the right to transfer a Class of his choosing.

To be honest, accumulating 20 million points as an individual would be nearly impossible. Only monsters like Aomine that was sure to win National tournaments could possibly have the capabilities to do so.

The remaining few million, he was sure that there will be other special exams just like this that would reward Private Points.

On this game called 'School', he already had a winning strategy.

And even some way it another an emergency could happen where he couldn't save enough points, he still had a final trump card using his Internal Energy to use an untraceable loophole in the S-system.

He already found out about the code, and it was primitive program compared to his past world.

As the original Aomine said...

Aomine: "The only one who could beat me, is me..."

He grinned...

Aomine left alone for a bit.

He jumped from braches to braches from trees in the forest.

His speedy travel was able to make him after images. If it was animated, it looked like it lacked frames in an animation.

Then something stopped him in his tracks as his nose picked up a familiar scent.

Aomine: "This smell... Is this corn?"

Using his Internal Energy to increase his perception, he now knew which part of the island are they planted.

They were scattered throughout the island. It's like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Finding a food source without using points was a huge boon.

Not just that, but there were small animals like wild ducks and hares. He could feel the vitality of this island's ecosystem.

He also located the other classes' base where they will reside.

Aomine: "Well it's still the first day. There's no need to rush. I should take a nap for now."

He yawned deeply and comfortably leaned his weight on the branch, but keeping his incredible sense of balance.

The only reason why he left the class, was because it will take Ike approximately an hour to find a spot. He thought he could lie down somewhere quiet for several minutes.
