We have been in Okinawa for a day now and I am already noticing the awkwardness between Tatsuya and Miyuki, seems just as shown in the novels and movies she is conflicted about how to treat her brother at this age and just follows what others do in regards to him. She went for a walk earlier and they had the run-in with the JSDF soldier from the novels where Tatsuya beat him with one attack, later tonight we are going to a family meeting I will be acting as a new Guardian so shouldn't be recognized and have to deal with family politicking tonight "small mercies there."

The clan party was boring as usual with disgust and hate-filled glares on Tatsuya all night, it kind of blows my mind to treat him like that since they know he doesn't have emotions so is unable to be bothered. The clan themselves turned him into what he is yet they push all their responsibility on him it's honestly laughable that they think so highly of themselves given the circumstances, are father being the most disappointing human I have yet to meet. He likens himself to an important personage but in reality, he is nothing but a mildly useful breeding hound, once he had exhausted his usefulness he was left to the wayside as he is now.

Poor Miyuki is not cut out for this she is the type to wear her heart on her sleeve and just doesn't yet have the grit to be merciless and deceive others, you can tell her even at this time feels pain for her brother's situation she just hasn't realized it herself. Until the next clan meeting next year all these kids are still being treated as clan heir's competing for succession, soon they will be stripped of their status and relegated to those roles chosen by the main family. I don't necessarily want to be Head of the Yotsuba but I know it will help out Miyuki and Tatsuya so I have come to terms with this butterfly of my birth, finally looks like this is over we can head back to the villa.

When we got back to the villa I was sitting in the living area sipping on some tea when Sakurai came in and joined me. "Quite the farce tonight eh?" I say with a sigh while looking up at her sitting across from me, she shrugs and responds "Not my place to say but I do find it mildly distasteful" what she found 'mildly' distasteful doesn't need to be mentioned. "Sure a bunch of adults placing all their mistakes on a 13-year-old child it was quite informative." she narrows her eyes and shows a slight grin finishes her tea and stands, "well I shall be off to check the perimeter have a good night Mr. Prince," finishing her sentence with a wink she leaves the room. Sighing slightly I finish my drink and head to my room to get some sleep, tomorrow will be quite a busy day if the cannon is still in effect.

Today there are plans to go out on a cruise in the sailing yacht, mother seems to want to go so I plan to tag along as well. Seems Miyuki will be going out to the beach today with Tatsuya shadowing her, I guess I will just hang out with mother and see if I can get some more information on our magic. Tatsuya and Miyuki have come back looks like Tatsuya fought some thugs off who were planning to push them around, or abduct Miyuki even I didn't ask for the details but seems Miyuki overheard Sakurai berating Tatsuya to care about himself more. We are getting ready to board the boat seems Miyuki was still stewing about overhearing she is in more danger than she had thought and her mother asked her what was wrong. She tried to hide it but I am sure mother noticed but let it be, it was quite a relaxing day Miyuki seems to be enjoying herself and relaxing in the breeze.

We were headed in the direction of Iejima but planned to turn around somewhere partway as it was just a cruise for leisure. Right before we were to make our destination for turning around when tension ran through everyone on the yacht, Sakurai was glaring out at the open sea, with a severe expression. I had been using Elemental Sight constantly as I knew this was the point of the first contact, as everyone was positioning themselves the shadow of a submarine could be seen in the water. This was quickly followed by the launch of what I identified as torpedoes, I let Tatsuya handle those so he could show off for his little sister. Tatsuya raised his hand and activated Mist Dispersion wiping out the torpedoes in an instant, followed by Sakurai releasing her spells into the water.

After a while JSDF showed up not finding anything was then followed by Sakurai throwing a fit about their ineptitude, we headed back to the beach house telling them to find us there if they needed to ask any questions as we couldn't be bothered at the time. Miyuki seems to be shell shocked seeing Tatsuya's abilities thrown in her face, it's kind of funny seeing her whole world view of her inept untalented brother cum bodyguard thrown in her face, though she is a child so I shouldn't be too harsh on her. Later that day the infamous Captain Kazama came by to ask questions, just like the novels Sakurai threw a fit, and Tatsuya attempted to inform them it was a possible kidnapping attempt based on the use of the equipment and wouldn't speak further since it involved his use of Elemental Sight which is classified. I just stood behind mother like a shadow not saying or doing anything being ignored by the people in the room. Captain Kazama stood up to leave after his mother stated we were done here, as he was leaving, and after his subordinates apologized to Tatsuya he invited him to their base.

I contemplated tagging along to see the 101st Magic Battalion but decided it was better not to get more involved there, so I just stayed around the villa until noon and did some exercises to maintain form.
