CHAPTER 6:

"Really! Who are they? Are they far away?" I inquired 'Although I am happy to get any chance to leave our home. I just started learning magic, and our library has all the spells I would want.' I started thinking about the situation I am in.

"He is an old knight from Westeros. He left it with 2 kids, and now he wants us to meet them." Dad stated before he stopped speaking completely.

'Am I being tested by dad? I feel like it, does he wants me to figure out who these kids are? Well he said that this old knight was from Westeros, and that he left with 2 kids!' I think as it dawn's on me.

"They're the Targaryens right!" I said, "Yes, they are. Good, since you know them you must know what they want from us, correct?" Dad asked.

"Yeah, I do! Sister Rhea told me about them, she also told me what they are willing to give us if we help." I inform dad who nods, "Good, here is a little lesson son. I want you to be at ease when in front of them, act like you always do.

They might be prince and princess but they need us, that means that we have the high ground, we can make the demands and conditions.

So act with pride, as you are a Connington. Understood?" Dad said with a touch of pride in his voice, as he saw me shaking my head up and down.

"Good, now go. As I have put some gifts that you recently received in your room."Dad stated. "Okay, thanks dad!" I shouted already out the door when I heard the word gifts.

As soon as I closed the door, I saw Uncle Dramon heading over. "Why hello Jade, your mother told me that you can use magic now. That makes you an apprentice! Congratulations!" he said affectionately.

However, I couldn't help remembering his voice 3 days ago, and it made my arm hair stand on end. "Hey Uncle, Yeah I can thanks. By the way have you seen Rhea around?"I asked trying to change the subject.

"I am afraid I haven't seen her yet. Here is a little gift for you." uncle stated whilst handing me, a small box. I was eager to open it right then and there.

But uncle stopped me by putting his hand on the box, and after looking back to the stairs he said "Please don't open it here, your mother might confiscate it if she sees what's inside of it.", I responded with a quick "Okay." while staching it in my pocket dimension.

"Good, now that that's over. I wouldn't want to keep you from your gifts any longer." Uncle says whilst patting me in the head.

"Thanks, uncle. By the way, you don't plan on leaving without telling me? Right?" I say narrowing my eyes, earning a laugh from uncle.

"Don't worry, I don't plan on leaving just yet. And when I do decide to, you will be the first to know. Deal?" Uncle ask, while kneeling and extending his open palm.

"Yes, deal." I say shaking his hand vigorously, "Good, now if you don't mind your father and I have some catching up to do. talk with you soon." uncle says walking away.

Before I entered my room; However, I turned one last time to see uncle's back closing dad's study's door.

Directly after I entered my room, I jumped on top of my bed, sprawling my entire body on it limbs outstretched.

I remained there like that for a good hour or so, I might have even dozed off a few times I didn't even look for the gifts.

Once I was well rested from throwing all that mana around, I got up and started looking for the gifts.

The first thing I taught to look at was my desk, as the gift could be put on top of it. But the only things on top of it right now, are the books I took about old Valerya.

It turned out I love history books, once I am done reading about old Valerya I will move on to Westeros.

'Come to think of it, why are my walls simple? Dad's study has red walls, Cedric green, Rhea blue, Louis has red too, and mom and dad's room has purple.' I thought to myself as I looked out the small window.

'I can't wait to start decorating this room, I will make it the best room in the entire house. Yeah, and then sister will be like: That's a nice room Jade, can you help me with mine. And I will help her and then I ..'

"Wow, so many gifts! 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6 wow! And with uncle's box that's 7 gifts, this is awesome! Will I get gifts when my rank goes up too? that will be terrific!" I say as I just barely hold myself from jumping around.

I then run to the corner of my room, where right next to my wardrobe there are boxes and some new neatly folded clothes. Thankfully the gifts were on top of my rug, so they wouldn't get dirty not like my room is dirty.

I quickly started unceremoniously opening the boxes, and was soon completely overwhelmed with an ecastical and joyful laughter. I got two steel enchanted short swords, an ebony dagger from uncle Dramon's box, as well as three advanced books:

One is about alchemy, 'definitely from mom' I think to myself stating the obvious.

The second is about enchantment.

The third is about all the sub-elements in

nature.

' The second and third are either both from dad, or one from dad while the other is from Cedric.' I wander at the mystery.

I got some really cool clothes. One of the clothes I got was a tunic, the top had a dark blue color on the Trims with beige on the torso, whilst the bottom had a dark blue color, they are already enchanted too.

'I wonder what enchantment was used on this, I could feel some heat radiating I could also see some weird scratch marks. I can't wait to learn more about enchantment! I can make things just like this.'

'Come to think of it, didn't sister Rhea also wore this same tunic 3 years ago. Then this tunic is specifically designed for the apprentice rank.'

'I wonder when I will get my first mission. I will most likely go with brother Cedric or dad. As that's the safest way for me to join a mission.'I wondered.

I also got a leather satchel it's the same one as uncle's, it has dimensional enchantment to it. 'It's bigger than my pocket dimension, it's most definitively another gift from uncle's!' I thought.

3 days passed in a blink, and in those 3 days I learned 2 new spells, and read about half of the book about old Valerya. The spell that I learned are:

Body reinforcement: It uses mana to reinforce the body. This spell took a lot longer than my first spell spike, I needed to keep my mana flowing constantly in where I wanted my body to get reinforced, the spell makes the body very strong.

And my personal favourite Sparkle, I can't believe I can finally use this spell, as soon as I learnt it I showed it to Rhea. The spell basically turns mana into beautiful colors that sparkle in the air.
