3 Chapter 2: Fourteen

Ever since Xander's birth fourteen years has passed he did how ever train his new body but still at best he could only use 45% of his original power which was more than enough but for his plans he would need at least 80%. Xander did however make a few friends in his village, Dike, a blonde man with more strength in his body than mana and was at the same age as Xander, Faith, the sister of Dike who also had blonde hair however different form her brother she had more mana than her body could handle she was at the steady age of fifteen, and then Ashley who had brown hair, and the same amount of strength and mana in her body.

At the age of nine Ashley wanted to be a hero Xander, heading this decided to train her but then Duke and Faith found out and Xander, taught them as well. The village elder heated that Ashley wanted to be an adventurer who then set up a test for her in order for her to leave the village to become an adventurer. Xander hearing this decided to let Faith and Duke go with her but he also wanted to go, to see if they learned much for him.

Xander who then decided to tag along, was also in the test and the test was simple defeat an ogre that lurked in a mountain on the east side of the village, an ogre was a rank 3 type beast, rankings could go up to a rank 1 basic level monsters all the way up to a rank 10 god-like monsters such as demon lords or a high level dragon.

The mountain was quite the Hard walk but the steps to finding an ogre was even harder.

"How the hell are we supposed to find an ogre with absolutely no experience with hunting?!"

Xander looked at Dike who was acting like Xander never taught him anything at all.

"Calm down just take it easy, start by expanding your mana influence to look for abnormalities, especially footprints that are not human." Xander calmly explains what to do to Dike.

At this point Faith chimed in whit a witty remark "you act as if this is easy, but then again you only fought with us not a monster."

It took two whole days for Xander and the others to find the ogre who was hiding away in the far eastern corner of the mountain, surprisingly it was easy to kill it and after killing it they showed the body to the village elder to inspect. When the village elder inspected it he found that the test concluded and all passed. The villagers never knew that Xander trained them, in fact they didn't know any of them were trained.

After getting outfitted with some gear the team set out and waved goodbye to the villagers and their parents, unknowingly that this was the last time they would see any of them.
