3 The Tour Begins

~1 week later~Bear Corp Grounds~3rd Pov~

Nick's week has been a little chaotic but compared to training at Beacon it felt much simpler and more peaceful. All the paperwork was for the business and the 'Tour' that they were organizing for the guest were all going well as each chosen Department Chief was informed to show off a little to the guest that Nick wanted to meet as they were told. Amy has told Nick that everyone invited has accepted the chance on a tour within the company's building and department. Training with Liz has gone well as the mercenaries of the company have had a bit of fun training youth to protect their boss. Nick did train Liz himself on occasion while they were at home. Refreshments were prepared for the guest. Such things as cookies, cakes, seafood, coffee, soda and really anything that kids would like to enjoy. The adult refreshments were also made, but given their own table as kids might not want the fancier looking food.

Everything is ready and will be when the guest arrives tomorrow. Everyone knows what to do as they have practiced this over the week. Nick's the host of the tour and will lead them around most of the departments with Amy helping where she can. The chosen Department Chiefs will explain and show off their departments. Products will be shown to the guest and demonstrated. All we need now is rest as it will be a long day.

~The Next Day~ Bear Corps Main Lobby~

It's a few minutes before the guest arrives as everyone is getting into a position to greet them. We don't expect everyone to appear all at once as they have their own lives to live after all. After a few moments, noise from a variety of vehicles outside. Two employees ran over to the door, opening it to allow the guest to walk in.

Out of the 8 families invited 5 arrived at around the same time, with the other 3 on their way. Of the families here the Belladonna, Schnee, and Nikos families haven't arrived as of yet.

Hello everyone and welcome to Bear Corp. Thank you all for accepting our invitation. As you may not know, we are still missing some guest that are still on their way. We have refreshments for both kids and adults, so we've brought those out in a minute. If you have any questions, you can ask me. As I'll be your guide throughout this tour with my assistant here, Amy."

The children almost immediately went to consume the table of treats made for them. The only two adults here wondered over to the adult's table to get a few treats for themselves before walking Nick's direction.

"Hi I'm Mrs. Arc, I was wondering why did you invite only a few families that are here? Mr...?"

"Nick.. my name is Nick B. Serve and I invite you all the reason I want to keep to myself as I like my privacy." The only other adult male here decided to speak up as to ask a different question.

"Mr. Serve thanks for inviting us here and all but I would like to know who the two kids by themselves are. I haven't seen a single adult with them since they got here."

A splash of surprised hit Nick as he knew they were orphans but didn't think anyone would ask about their parents.

"It's not really my place to say, but I'll inform you that those two are Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie. They're orphans that have been wandering around since their village was destroyed by grim. They have been doing well so far by themselves and hearing about them I decided to invite them to this tour as a treat of goodwill."

The two adults looked surprised to hear about this but didn't make a move as they'll wait until this ends. As they were talking the Belladonna and Nikos families arrived with only a mother and Daughter pair for each. It seems the husbands were too busy with work to come along. A few more minutes later Winter Schnee and her two younger siblings arrived.

Nick walked to a small stage made for him to be a bit above them for an easier view.

"Hello everyone, may I have your attention? Now that all of us are here we've waited a few more minutes to let the guest who just arrives enjoy some of the refreshments we've made for this event. Like I said before if there is any question you can ask me as I'll be your host for this tour with my assistant, Amy."

The families seemed to go about their business as they started some conversation among the adult discussing the tour, home and some complaining about not getting a break like this more often. The kids seemed to talk among each other but with some of them being shyer than the adult. A blonde girl seems to have a blackish-red haired girl hiding behind her with a cache of cookies.

'Oh, we're out of cookies. I'll have everything refilled before the tour ends, so they can take some home.'

Another girl with snow-white hair seemed to be attempting to converse with the others, but her more arrogant attitude seemed to not help much. The two boys seemed to have a small talk as they were the only boys among the teens. The girl, Nora, was munching on all the pancakes that were there while a redhead watched and listened to the others. A lot of the seafood was gone as a cat faunus girl seemed to be done with just eating something near it all. A boy with snow-white hair, like the girl, was watching everything while staying at Winter Schnee's side.

After a bit and everyone seemed satisfied with the food and drinks. We began to show them around starting with the 'Weapons Department'. Nick had once again walked upon the small stage to gain everyone's attention.

"Okay everyone, now that everyone seems to be satisfied with our chefs cooking. We'll have more food after to tour for any of you to take some home as we have much to spare and more to give. Now please follow me as we are heading to our 'Weapons Department to give the rest more time to prepare. *Looks to Amy* Let the Weapons Department know we're on our way with the guest and also tell the other department that the tour has started. *Back to the families* This way everyone, we have a limousine big enough for everyone to fit comfortingly as we drive to the 'Weapons Department Building."

Nick looked back to see some of the kid get excited about the tour beginning and one blackish-red haired girl seemed to beam more than the rest over this. As everyone was now seated in the limousine, Nick decided to introduce himself to everyone.

"Now that we're all beginning the tour. Let me introduce myself to those who don't know me. I am Nick B. Serve, Licensed Huntsmen, and Owner of Bear Corp."

Everyone's mouths were wide open as they didn't think that this young man was the owner as the owner of Bear Corps never revealed himself. If only they knew that Nick was too busy and didn't care if anyone knew he owned the business. The kids seemed shocked but more for the fact that Nick was younger than most that were in the merchant world.

"May I know who everyone here is?" Nick's question woke them from their dazed shock.

"I'm Winter Schnee and I brought my siblings, Weiss and Whitley Schnee. I can see as you directly sent an invite to me instead of my father that you didn't want him here." Nick smiled at her last comment.

"Yes, I've heard rumors that he's not the kindest when it comes to really anyone, especially faunus. Me being a faunus myself with even more of my employees also being faunus. I'll rather them not be uncomfortable in their work environment."

Hearing Nick's reasons behind it, Winter nodded and couldn't help but agree silently.

"Hello, I'm Taiyang Xiao Long, here with my two daughters. Yang and Ruby being those two.*Tai points them out*" Nick looked at them and they stared at him too. The next person speaking took Nick's attention.

"Hello, I'm Mrs. Nikos and this is my daughter Pyrrha." After Pyrrha's mother introduced her she waved from across the limousine.

"Hello, I'm Kali Belladonna and this is my daughter Blake." Blake kept quiet while she was introduced.

"Hello, you already know me from earlier but for everyone else. I'm Mrs. Arc and this is my only son Jaune. I would have brought my other daughter, but they wanted to spend more time with their father today."

"I see..people seem to more daughter than son nowadays. By the way, how many daughters do you have?" Nick was curious about this.

" I have seven daughters and Jaune here being the more middle child and as I said, the only son."

Almost everyone was shocked by the number of children this woman carried and gave birth to. To take care of all of them sound like a challenge in all of itself.

"Okay...Well, that's almost everyone as we have these two here that are by themselves.*Gestures to Ren and Nora* May I ask your names for everyone else here?"

Nora seemed to shrink back a bit when everyone turned their heads all at once to look at them. Ren answered in her place to Nick's question.

"I'm Lie Ren and this is Nora Valkyrie. We've been wandering around the world when we received an invitation to your tour of Bear Corp by this strange man who somehow found us in the mountains." Nick almost laughed at this as he knew who exactly Ren was talking about.

"*While holding back his laughter* I see you met Courier Jack. He's basically our delivery boy but with a great semblance of being able to find anyone by knowing their name. He explained that after knowing someone's name he could feel a pull in the direction that someone is in so he's like a living compass. He hasn't failed a single job yet." Nick then started to laugh at everyone's faces of surprise about the learning of Jack.

"I'm sorry if Jack might have weird you out as he is kinda weird, but he's a great person none the less. Oh look we're here."

As Nick had said the limousine came to a stop in front of a massive building with the noise of hammers, machines and a bit of yelling.

"It seems that Chief Tom is having some issues or he's giving another speech while they work...*Looks to everyone that got out of the limousine* Well everyone let's head inside. I don't think I have to say be careful and try not to touch too much without supervision as these can get dangerous as they're making the weapons. I can also see miss Ruby here looks more excited about this department than the rest."

Tai and Yang chuckled as Ruby shrunk back about being called out for her love of weapons. It wasn't a bad thing but it was funny.

"Okay everyone once inside these doors you can listen to the Chief of this department or wait in the lobby as no one is forced to go through all of this. Any questions can wait once we are all inside."

Everyone walked through the door leading to a lobby where some people were walking around and the noise of hammers and machines was much louder. Amy walked away from Nick's side and headed through a double doorway. After a bit, the noise came to a halt and Amy came back to Nick with Chief Tom. Chief Tom was a short but a muscular bull faunus. He's a social person, but get mad at people easily for not learning from mistakes.

"Hello Tom, I see your arms better after what I've heard a few months back."

"Yeah, it all better right now..*Looks between the group and Nick* Are these the guest that you mentioned?"

"Yes and now that we're here, you're the host until we leave your department. As the Chief, you would have a more on-hand knowledge than I. Let the tour begin." Nick's face had a big smile.

Chief Tom lad them into a room where it was full of older style blacksmith hammers and anvils and advance machines to make all the weapons. There was an area displaying a lot of weapons of a large variety. Tom showcased the massive workshop and then led them to a weapons testing room. With a lot of safety and supervision on sight. The adult let the kids use some weapon. Tom led safety.

"Alright everyone, you can test one weapon as we don't want anything to go wrong. Now, who wants to go first?"

Almost all the kids were wanting to go. Whitley just watches with a curious look while Ruby and Nora were wanting to use a weapon more than them. Ruby won Tom's attention, so she got to get the first pick to test. She somehow managed to find a custom-ordered rocket-boosted scythe among the options.

Ruby walked up to the testing area of the room as most stood behind a protective wall. The people who stayed in the open but behind Ruby were Nick, Nora, Tai, Tom, and Yang.

Ruby, after being given the all-clear, started to swing the weapon at the target made for this and as the rocket boosters fired. Ruby was able to slice the target in half, but the scythe went flying out of her hands and spun backward towards Nick. He turned around and saw the scythe hit the wall just above him. Inches of taking off anything of his face or head. Nick felt the sweat on his back and started smiling until his face hurt as to not show how surprised, worried, and frightened about that.

'It's only the first department and I already almost died....'
