1 Chapter 1

Silas was sitting on a wooden chair near the window, enjoying the cool breeze that passes through his dark blue hair. His eyes looking down and reading a book. Even though the morning has passed, he still hasn't eaten breakfast, the maid that usually delivers his food didn't come by yet again.

The hushed room was interrupted by the loud gurgling noise coming from Silas stomach. Silas got up while a heavy sigh left his lips. He placed his book down and started walking towards the door.

"Do I really have to go out and see those pigs again?" Silas said, sighing once again. Those "pigs" Silas was referring to were his family. His father, King Fencil and his wife, Queen Ternia had 3 children. Silas was the youngest while Princess Valarie was the oldest and Prince Benjamin was the second oldest.

Silas was walking down the hallway, the hallway was quiet as usual with maids avoiding his eyes. He was walking towards the kitchen, hoping to find some food for himself. While walking and not paying to his surrounding, Silas bumped his head into something "wha-"

"Look who it is!" Hearing that voice Silas rolled his eyes and got up, patting dust off his black trousers. "Good afternoon, brother, '' Silas said with a forced smile. Benjamin looked down on Silas in an arrogant expression.

"Where are you going?"

"Nothing of your concern, brother" Silas said, not minding the surprised expression on Benjamin's face, "W-what did you say!?!" Silas, not wanting to put more in the conversation remained silent, bowed and prepared to leave. Fuming with anger Benjamin jumped and grabbed Silas hair, yanking him to the ground.

"Oh come on! why pull my hair!" Silas shouted with a pained expression. Benjamin angrily raised his hand and punched Silas. The strength behind the punch had Silas cheeks red and blood running down his mouth. " Be quiet!" Benjamin roared out and soccer kicked Silas on the stomach.

"Disgusting" Benjamin said after seeing Silas curled up in a ball, covering his stomach and walking away but not before spitting on him. The nearby servants were whispering among themselves and giggling, none of them offering Silas help.

"That little piece of shi-" before Silas could finish , an unfamiliar voice spoke out, "Are you okay?", the person said while stretching out her hands. Silas looked up and saw a maid, who he never saw before.

A maid with red short hair said smiling, her obsidian eyes looked straight into Silas red eyes which made him surprised. Normally maids would avoid looking at him because of his eyes, red eyes were deemed as disgusting and low because of the empire's past history.

"..." Silas stared at the maid but her eyes didn't even flinch. "Is there something wrong with your highness?". Silas broke out of his daze and looked down at the still stretched hand. "No " Silas said slowly getting up, ignoring the hand of the maid and walked past her. "She's weird…" he thought while walking towards the kitchen leaving the maid behind with a confused look on her face.
