9 Chapter 9

The next day after they moved to Musica's place, Ban woke up early. He left without telling the others and only return after dinner. He gathers everyone including Musica for discussing their future.

"You sure you want me to join your discussion?" Musica asked Ban.

"Yeah at least I need an opinion from an adult and a hero." Ban said.

"Hero?" Law confused hearing Ban's word.

"Yeah, to get what I wanted I must be a hero." Ban said seriously.

"What? A hero?" Everyone shocked with Ban's decision.

"What? Why are you all surprised?" Ban asked in confusion.

"Because among everyone here, you are most definitely not suited to be a hero. From your personality and attitude you are more of a villain. Your quirk is even more so. A quirk to steal? Everyone will brand you villain just by hearing it." Musica said while the others nodding in agreement.

"Did you just insult me? I'm gonna cry, you know?" Ban used his hands to cover his eyes and pretend to cry.

"Joking aside, I am serious in saying I'll be a hero. Like I said I need to be a hero to do what I want. Being a hero is just a step I need to take. Whether you guy will join me or not I promise to protect you all. So, what do you say?" Ban said with serious expression.

"Before I answer that, I want to hear your goal first. You said that being a hero is just a step, so what is your real goal?" Meliodas asked.

"Fine... What I want to do is to safe Shouyou,"

Everyone had a shocked expression. They only thought of what to do and never about saving their teacher.

"Wait. Do you know what your teacher did? I did my investigation after hearing you yesterday. Whether what he did is true or it's just a lie by the government, they will not easily forgive him!" Musica telling Ban what he's thinking.

"I know. I won't ask the government to let Shouyou go. If I did that I might endanger Law and the others. That's why I'll be a hero. If I am a hero then I can arrest him without putting everyone in danger. Our relationship will be that of a hero and villain not that of a teacher and disciple. I can also visit jail from time to time with that. No one will be suspicious about our relationship and everyone will be save." Ban explained his goal.

"I see. If you are the one to arrest him then the government will not think that you are his disciple. And you have reason to visit him as you are the one who caught him. The government will think that it's impossible for you to be his disciple." Musica thought for a while.

"Alright I'm in!" Meliodas stood up. "We have made decision to stay with you, but after hearing your plan I know I have to join you. I will be hero as well." Everyone agreed with Meliodas.

"I have decided to follow aniki from before we enter Shouka Sonjuku, you know?" Law said.

"I know you will stay. When I said everyone, I didn't include you in. I will force you to stay whether you like it or not." Ban said jokingly.

"Shit... I have regretted it already." Law hold his head down.

Everyone laughed until Musica interrupted.

"Wait even if you all agreed you need to become heroes first. None of you went to school." Musica reprimand them.

"That's why I went to investigate today. What we really need is a strong backing. I have a target in mind. Currently he is on vacation in his villa nearby." Ban said.

"A strong backing? Who is it?"

"The Minister of Defense Sengoku." Ban said calmly.

"What? Are you insane? You think someone of his status would meet someone like you?" Musica shout in surprise.

"No. That's why the five of us will sneak in his villa." Ban answered calmly while everyone is in shock.

"You think it's easy? He was a former Pro Hero until he decided to do politics. Even his villa must be highly protected."

"I can use my Snatch ability to steal our own presence and make us invisible. Sneaking in is easy." Ban claimed proudly.

"Even if it's easy how will you convince him? Do you think he will listen?"

"I have a reason why I choose him. His status as Minister of Defense is not my main reason to choose him. I choose him because he is Corazon's adoptive father." Ban looks at Law and said so.

"What!" Law shocked at what Ban said.

Ban started explaining about Sengoku.

Sengoku took Rosinante in after Rosinante escape from his brother who killed his father. Sengoku raised him as his son and when he grows up he became government agent. It was Sengoku who told Rosinante to spy on his brother's gang as Corazon.

When Corazon escape from both his brother and the government to heal Law, he should have been reported as a traitor and became a villain. But thanks to Sengoku, Corazon wasn't reported as villain for a long time until someone found out.

"I choose him because of that." Ban finished explaining.

"How did you know all of that?" Musica asked curiously.

"I deducted it from his past I read after some hacking." Ban said it casually.

"How much crime does it take for you to be a hero?" Musica shrugged his shoulder. "Even with all that He might still not listen."

"That's why we'll use this plan..." Ban speak all his plan out.

"... That's crazy. It's too crazy it might work." Musica's surprised with Ban's shrewdness. "As I thought you are much more suited as a villain. Or maybe a shrewd businessman."

"The four of us are important for this plan. Me, Elizabeth, Chopper, and Law." Ban pointed his finger to the three of them.

"Sigh. Even if I disagree you're going to force me anyway." Although Law said that he actually felt happy to be depended on by Ban.

"Then I agree as well!" Chopper said in a loud voice.

Elizabeth looked at Meliodas for a while and made her decision. "Let's do it!"

"Hey what about me?" Meliodas asked.

"You're just a bonus. That's all." Ban mocked Meliodas.

"You're weaker than this bonus! The record is 68 wins and 60 lose. You will never able to close the gap."

"I'll challenge you later. We need to finish our task at hand first. Tomorrow we will commence our plan."

"If you succeeded, tell Sengoku that Silver Rhythms will be your guardians. You are all still underage and needed an adult as guardian after all." Musica make a promise with them as the leader of Hero's Agency Silver Rhythms.

"Thanks. That was what I want to ask you as well if we succeeded." Ban feels relieved knowing he had one less obstacles.
